Am I gone too, or is it a misprint? Got a story for both, just wondering though.

Okay then. In that case...
ZMT Racing sells operation to A1 Racing following lack of funds.
ZMT Racing will postpone their ARLA plans for now due to a lack of driver, sponsor, and manufacturer following the departure of allied team LK Racing. Team owner Zach Townsend had this to say:
"Yeah, we were in trouble, big time. After Keniston and his left, we were screwed. We just gave up. We sold to A1 Racing, who were planning on running Karl, Inc, which is what we were gonna run. If the officials will allow us, we'd to come back again to race, in 2013, 2014, or 2015, but if not, I and most of the team will still always be loyal fans of the series."
The team currently has no plans for 2012.
To be honest, it doesn't really affect me as bad as I thought it would. If I had had a season like Leon did, I probably would have done the same thing as he did. But my car was just plain awful. Average start and finish in the mid 20s all year long, something was obviously not right. Now I get to know if it was me or not.

Dangerous Dog Racing ATT Driver, Kalvin Oreiller to Race 672 in 2012
33-year old Kalvin Oreiller, is set to attempt a full season in the ARLA Elite Series in 2012 in their Kivett. Oreiller has been racing for 19 years but this year, got his first shot at "the big times." Oreiller was hired to compete in the Thunder Trucks for DDR. In his first few races, he did fairly well.
This is what team owner Jeff Lautenschlager had to say, "We've been viewing our prospects a lot lately and being that the 2011 season is coming to a close, we knew now was the time to choose a driver. It came down to Kalvin and McKinley Martin, but he has refused our offer and we have got Kalvin for the team!"
As of now, the team is sponsorless and hopes to gain one by race 1, if they cannot, they will most likely run with a big breast cancer logo on the hood as Jeff's mother-in-law was recently ill with breast cancer.

Matthews Motorsports expands to ARLA, changes numbers
Good things come to those who wait.
After being shut out of the initial phases of team additions by ARLA officials, Matthews Motorsports officials were close to giving up the dream entirely.
With the recent upheaval in the team roster, and some organizations electing to skip the 2012 season, enough room opened up for the Connecticut-based team to earn a second look from officials - and with it, an offer to join the grid.
Team owner Ryan Matthews, who will pilot one of the two team entries next season, jumped on the chance.
"You don't let opportunity knock and not answer the door," he said. "We're excited and honored that the ARLA officials gave us this opportunity."
Tiffany Matthews, who drove for the team at this past season's 150 Laps of Dwyer, will take the wheel of the other entry.
The team promptly signed a deal with Lenard to provide chassis for the upcoming season, restarting a relationship with the manufacturer that dated back to the organization's late-model days.
In addition to the manufacturer announcement, the team also announced that effective January 1, 2012 the team's cars would change numbers - to 106 and 116. The team's VSCC entries will assume the new numbers once the current season there ends.
The 106, driven by Ryan, will be a part-time entry with sponsorship from I.W. Eagle. Tiffany will drive the 116 (a full-time entry), with primary sponsorship from Red-Hot Race Wear. Tiffany Blues Restaurants, which sponsored her in her ill-fated Rockford 200 attempt, will be the primary sponsor at a yet-to-be-determined number of races.

PATRIOT RACING TO GO FULL TIME IN 2012
ARLA officials gave the team three spots in the 2012 roster, one full time slot and two part time slots. The full time driver will be Greg Woodard, who had an ill-fated attempt at Rockford, he will be sponsored by Trollbusters and drive the 41 car. Kelly Splison, who ran a part time stint in the 2011 season with average results, will change to the 42 car sponsored by Canuck Maple Ale, and Ryon Reffett, who attempted but failed to pre-qualify at Decatur, will head up the 61 car sponsored by Cruze in Auto Detailing, all three cars will once again have Horizons Trucking as a Secondary sponsor.
The team chassis will be the Tonare Thunderbolt, which was offered in place of the usual in house chassis, which had not been approved by ARLA officials coming into 2012.

MT Motorsports looking for part-time ARLA slot for 2012
Middle Tennessee Motorsports has been trying to get into an ARLA Elite Series race for the past two years. Unable to qualify, the team is now looking to get a part-time slot for the 2012 season, with Lane Cranston as its driver.
The team was originally looking at going full-time in ARLA in 2013, bringing up young Jon Halks from the CRL Modified Division. That's still in the works, but with teams dropping out of the series, now might be the time to get something going.
"If we can get a part-time slot, that would be great," said MT Motorsports owner Fred Caldwell. "It would guarantee us some ARLA experience, and we could work on a car, and get more competitive to try and become a top team."
The team is planning on keeping Kristian Jeffries and Brian Morris in its TM Lights South operation for 2012.

James Proctor Racing wants to go ARLA racing
In a interview after the VSCC race at Brands Hatch, James Proctor was asked if he was going to move his team to the next level, he had this to say. Its definitely something that we have been looking at for awhile now, we have the finacial baking to make the move up to the next level. But we want to make sure we have the technical strength and speed to run in ARLA. James Proctor Racing prides it self on being front runners and contending for wins.
I think we need to take our time evaluate or situation then make the move. We dont want to rush things, get in ARLA fall on our faces and be out the series before the year is out. Plus with the driver rule that ARLA has we have to find drivers to make this move with. With that being said we are currently talking to a few drivers and would like to get a few more guys just to explore our options. In a perfect situation we would run a fulltime ARLA Thunder truck series season and a parttime ARLA Elite series season. But (laughing) we all know this is racing and almost nothing is perfect so we will just have to wait and see.
I know White Moutian Motorsports made the move up to ARLA and they are doing fine, we had a technical partnership with thoes guys in the VSCC so they may be a team that we look at for some pointers on how to make the move up succesfully.

Borland moving to the 89 for A1 Racing part-time. Zachary Zins to replace Borland as lead driver for the team.
Despite a low position in the standings, Phillip Borland was expected to keep his 99 ride for A1 racing. However, in the past week, it was announced that Borland would continue to drive for A1 racing, though he'd be moved to the part time car number 89. Zachary Zins, Borland's co-driver during Dwyer, will be moved into the 99 car and drive full time for 2012. When asked how Zins felt about his move to ARLA, he responded, "I made a cake last night."

Morales determined to break the "Daytona Curse"
Scott Morales is a victim of the "Daytona Curse", a legend that claims that once a driver gets their first win at the was season opener at Daytona, they would be nowhere near the front. Ironically enough, the person who started the trend of first time winners is 2011 champion Kevin Monroe, and Scott Morales is determined on breaking that curse in the 2012 season.
"If Kevin Monroe can be unaffected by this supposed curse, then I see no problem with me breaking this curse."

Webster, SuperCharged Racing Finalize Plans
Everything has been confirmed for Zack Webster and sponsor SuperCharged Energy.
Zack Webster will drive the #95 Saar Carolina for the 2012 season of ARLA. SuperCharged Energy will return as a main sponsor along with DiG Aero and The Zack Webster Foundation. AskAd.com did not choose to return to the team after the 2011 season.
In a separate announcement, SuperCharged Racing has announced that there is an opening available for any interested drivers. After having a season under the team's belt, they appear to be ready to house another car. The team would like the main sponsor of the second car to be DiG Aero; however, negotiations can be made for other sponsor opportunities. Car number for this new team will be at the choice of the driver.
UPDATE:
Interest is already being shown for the open spot in SuperCharged Racing. All drivers interested in the open spot will be reviewed over the week and the driver is planned to be revealed Monday, January 2nd.

MT Motorsports close to finalizing plans for 2012
Middle Tennessee Motorsports expressed interest in running a part-time ARLA Elite Series schedule in 2012, with Lane Cranston as the driver.
They received an invite from the league, and submitted an application with the car number they want and the manufacturer they will use.
Now they just need confirmation of a spot.
"We submitted the paperwork just before Christmas," said Fred Caldwell. "Obviously, during the holidays, they've probably been out of the office, so that's given us a chance to look at the races we'll probably run if we get accepted."
If accepted, the team will most likely run short tracks, as that is Cranston's strength.

Breaking News: Motor Assault Racing down to one car
In a surprising development, Motor Assault Racing announced that the team will only field cars for Laura Cyrus next season. It is believed that contract negotiations with Amy Harrison broke down, and sponsor Voltso Batteries wanted to move over to Cyrus.
Team owner Lisa Marley declined to comment. It is unknown whether Cyrus will now carry the #102, or stick with #100. Representatives from Rab-O-Tec, previously set to take over primary sponsorship of Cyrus's car, stated that the company would be willing to share ad space with Voltso.

The team chart has been updated. Car numbers in yellow mean that I do not have those cars. All full-time cars are due on January 28. I need either targas or rated car files (GNS physics).
Anyone who did not get a full-time spot may compete on a part-time schedule, with a limit of 5 regular races and free entries at IRP and Rockford.

Re: 2012 Team Chart/Silly Season Thread (ALL FULL-TIME CARS DUE 1/28)
Brinson Engineering pushes on; looking for part-time driver
After the failure to secure a full-time spot on the ARLA grid and the unmitagated disaster that ensued regarding Jacob Gregory, team owner Matthew Brinson will not rule out running a 5 race schedule given the right driver. Currently, Brinson has driving duties with The Old Timers team in the PCC cup series, but he wishes to finish out the season there instead of taking on a demanding dual series schedule.
"Right now, I want to uphold the commitments that I have with The Old Timers and concentrate on finishing out the PCC season before moving to ARLA. I can handle the day to day management of the team but driving-wise, I want to concentrate on a single series for now. Perhaps after my tenature is done over there, I'll wheel a few races in ARLA. But like I said, the guys at The Old Timers have been very good to me and I want to concentrate on putting up good performances in the PCC."
With that said, Brinson says that this will not stop him from fielding a part time effort in the series.
"Running in another series won't be a problem in terms of fielding a private entry. It's something that I wanted to do in the PCC cup but at the last minute, I was asked to run the #20 Life Alert car and I obliged. You can't pass up an oppritunity to drive for another team, even if it is a back of the field effort. But even with that said, running a entry in ARLA won't be a problem. I took over the family team from my father and have continued to run locally at Hampton Speedway, South Boston Speedway and throughout the state. I've had a ton of success the past few years and we felt that there was nothing really left from running local. The technical know-how and our chassis expertise is what I think will be our greatest advantage and we plan to use that to our advantage. What I learned from Old Dominion studying Motorsports Engineering really helped me a ton and I am confident that this is an area that we can grab a leg up on the other orginizations."
But as previously mentioned, the only thing setting the team back is a driver.
"We've got everything together for a part time schedule. The guys are there, FAP Pens stepped up to the plate for a 5-race deal, and we are all set to go for 2012. All we need now is a decent driver. I really think we have a good package going here and if there is someone out there looking for a competitive car, the seat is open. Our goal is to go out, run consistently in the top 20 and display ourself in a professional manner. We hope to have a driver announced by the season opener or sooner. Anyone interested should inquire ASAP."
The team will run the FAP Pens #12 Kivett for 5 races with Spirt race fuel and Rub-a-Dub tires.

Great Lakes Motorsports Owner to Run Elite Series Part-Time in 2012
In an announcement this afternoon, Great Lakes Motorsports owner, Jim More stated that he will run part-time in the Elite Series this upcoming year. The team owner has previous short track experience back in the early 80's, but the 48-year old knows that it won't be a cake walk.
"It's going to be tough. We tried to make the show at Rockford with Ike's [Durbin] team and didn't make it, but I'm looking forward to it."
The car will be sponsored by Mega Mart, who sponsored the #35 part-time entry this past season, and will carry the #28. The team has also decided to use the Tonare Thunderbolt chassis.

Trey Ashby to pilot Brinson Engineering #12
After an exhaustive driver search (not really), team owner Matthew Brinson named 17 year old Trey Ashby as driver for the Fancy Ass Pens #12 Kivett.
"We took our time and after evaluating our choices at hand, it was a unanimous decision to put Trey in the car. Now here is a guy who knows how to take care of a race car. Even though Trey is only 17, he has shown remarkable ability and talent on the local level. He takes care of equipment and knows how to use his head. He came into the shop with an extremely professional attitude and you just don't find that in a young man anymore. He's completely committed to making this work and has even been to the shop to assist with the race cars. I'm confident that with the talent and level of equipment we have available, we can definitly make it an effort to run in the top 15."
This will be Trey Ashby's first time competing in a canon series. Last year, Ashby swept the competition to win the USUK Soup Bowl Nationals. At 17, he will be among the youngest competitors in the ARLA field. A schedule has not yet been finalized for the team but Brinson expects to attempt the 2012 season opener.

You're only allowed five races, plus IRP and Rockford. You need to trim the list down a little.

I updated the thread title to clarify which cars are due soon.
Part-time cars don't have to be submitted by the beginning of the season.

Henry Laverne Looking at Running a Part-Time Team for his Daughter
Henrietta Laverne III has been involved in ARLA since the 2010 season when she drove for Gravity Racing, Inc. She ran the full season for GRI but did not qualify for multiple events. In 2011, she ran full-time for Xenos but was let go at the end of the season.
"I just want the chance to field a car for my daughter. If you go one year without a ride, you can find yourself outta this sport very quickly."

More news from HotShot Racing. They have announced that they have changed their manufacturer to Nemoto, because as far as they are concerned, there are no Volpi's in ARLA anymore. So if the painting on Barney Ward's car has started, the manufacturer needs to be changed to Nemoto.

If you didn't already get Tyson's PM, a PM is a 'Personal Message'. On the little bar below the EFR logo, there's a section named 'Messages'. That is where all PM's are.BWardboy88 wrote:What do you mean? I don't exactly understand that.

I'd prefer if part-time teams didn't go to Japan, unless they compete exclusively in Japan.
