Team Chart

Numbers in yellow mean that I do not have those cars.

Post rumors here... NOW.

DO IT.

Genesis out at season's end?

Since 2009, Genesis Automotive has been promoting their line of electric cars by fielding the only electric car on the ARLA grid. While Genesis has received praise from environmental groups for creating a competitive electric racecar, there are signs that the company's presence could be short-lived.

Genesis representatives, while they have not disclosed exact numbers, have reported that the electric racecars cost more than $120,000 apiece to build, while the gas-powered cars in ARLA competition cost approximately $60,000 apiece.

Green Racing, the Genesis factory team, received a sponsorship deal from the Freedom From Pollution Council before the season started, but the team has admitted that the funding that the FFPC provides is not enough to motivate the company to keep racing past the end of the year.

If Genesis pulls out, Green Racing is expected to remain on the ARLA grid under the ownership of team boss Jodi Hadden if FFPC continues to fund the team.

Atsuro & MRD to merge?

Reports are emerging that MRD Motorsports, which fields Nemotos for Joseph Howard, Suiiju Dejao, and Amy Patti in the ARLA Elite Series, is in talks with Atsuro Technologies that could result in MRD absorbing Atsuro for the 2012 season.

The Japan-based Atsuro Technologies currently fields cars in both Formula Overdrive and, on a part-time basis, the Elite Series for Kyle Gaffigan and Kiriki Hetsuno, but the team has expressed interest in fielding stock cars for a full schedule in the future. It is believed that this is due to Hetsuno, who is considered to be the team's lead driver, and her personal interest in stock cars.

If the merge occurs, it is expected that both Hetsuno and Gaffigan will assume full-time driving roles with MRD. There is no word on where this leaves Howard and Dejao, but MRD team owner Tom Delgado has already confirmed that Patti will be out by the season's end, and that Dejao's ride may be in danger due to his performance this season.

Delgado Confirms Plans to Absorb Atsuro, Hopes Howard Will Stay For 2012

MRD Motorsports owner Tom Delgado confirmed the rumors that he had made a successful bid to bring Atsuro Technologies into the MRD Motorsports family. However, the takeover will not take place immediately.

"I am pleased to announce that we at MRD Motorsports have acquired the rights to Atsuro Technologies. It is an acquisition that I am personally proud of, as it signals our intent to become a worldwide power in motorsport" Delgado said in a conference call from MRD's Miami headquarters. "The people at Atsuro will continue to run the company until the end of the Formula Overdrive season, as it will give the both of us plenty of time to conduct a proper transition process. By adding Atsuro to our always-expanding family, we are showing the world of motorsport that MRD Motorsports will not be a company to trifle with" Delgado added, re-stating his ambition to have the team with the best possible chance to win whatever races it enters, whether it be in stock cars, open wheel cars, or any other type of vehicle.

When pressed for details about the future of Joseph Howard, Delgado summed the situation up rather simply. "If Joseph (Howard) gets a Master Cup offer for 2012, I will not stand in his way. If however he doesn't, I would love to have him continue here with us"

Dangerous Dog Racing Looking at Two Full Time Slots in 2012

Dangerous Dog Racing had been looking to get involved in the ARLA Elite Series since 2009, but they finally got a part-time slot in 2011 with their driver, Kayla Beisel. Kayla has had a half-decent season but has said, she does not enjoy being a driver as much as she'd like to be a tire changer, something not many females do, so her part-time season will be her last.

This is what team owner, Tyson Lautenschlager had to say. "We had been trying to get involved for so long in the Elite Series, and we don't want to waste anymore time before moving up to the full schedule. Part-time sucks because if Kayla gets a good run, she could have to wait weeks until she's back driving, that slows the momentum to a stop."

As for drivers DDR is currently looking at go to Kalvin Oreiller, Jade Bowyer & McKinley Martin. Oreiller & Bowyer are the 2 current Thunder Truck drivers, Martin was their one-off driver at Rockford last year. Martin is a late model racer from Illinois, and the ARLA bodies for 2012 are shaped a lot like late models making him a favourite for the ride.

Great Lakes Motorsports will run a 3rd-full time entry; Seeks Driver and Sponsor

GLM president and owner, Jim More, confirmed this afternoon that the team will run a 3rd full time entry in 2012. The team, which will run the #35 Mega Mart car with Jarkko Forsström and the #38 HP Engineparts car with Ryan Griffin, came to this decision after seeing the effects of having 3 or more cars per team have affected the other Elite Series teams.

"We just want to make sure we start next season with guns blazing and bullets in the chamber," More said during the announcement.

Currently, the teams two entry are part-time and have earned at least top-5 finishes.

More did say that if anyone was interested in sponsoring or driving for the team that they should leave a message with the team {PM me}.

Eichholtz Autosport will return to the ARLA Elite Series in 2012 with a two-car operation. However, the drivers will not be confirmed until later in the season. This is due to the team's interest in a Master Cup team for next year.

Team Thunder to merge with Big Bunny Racing?

Rumors are circulating around the garage that TM Master Cup Series Independant's Trophy team Team Thunder is interested in absorbing Big Bunny Racing, an ARLA Elite Series team. This move is not surprising, as Big Bunny Racing has historically fielded drivers employed by Team Thunder, such as Anthony Griffith and Bob Stephans. Both Team Thunder and BBR run the Tonare Thunder, and BBR is their sole representative in ARLA.

Both Team Thunder Principal Michael Rutana and Big Bunny Racing President Bjorn Green had no comment on this rumor.

New ARLA Team To Open Its Doors in 2012

It has been announced that a brand new team will take to the track in ARLA competition next year. Lone Star Motorsports, based in Houston, Texas, will field cars/trucks in both the ARLA Elite Series and the ARLA Thunder Trucks.

No numbers, drivers, sponsors, or if they'll be part-time teams have been announced at the moment, but at least one sponsor has contacted the team and is willing to sponsor one of their operations. Benny Benson's Buddy Buns, a pastry company, is the company in question.

"After following the steady progression of ARLA and it's sanctioned series', I wanted to join the great racing sanctioning body that is ARLA. There are many, many great drivers that compete week in and week out, and we would love to be a part of it," said Lone Star Motorsports owner, Lance Chapman.

More news is to come.

MT Motorsports ready to make jump to ARLA Thunder Trucks full-time

Middle Tennessee Motorsports has been biding its time for these past 5 or so years, getting their modified team in order, and running big stock car races here and there.

But the team is ready to move up full-time. MT Motorsports is making preparations to set up a team in ARLA Thunder Trucks. Lane Cranston, who has raced for the team in the ASCC and the CRL Modified Division, would drive the truck for the team.

"We feel that it's time for us to make the leap," said team owner Fred Caldwell. "We've been building drivers and moving them up the past few years, but we want to start going with those drivers."

"Fred and I have been talking about this for the past year," said Marc Caldwell, MT Motorsports CEO and Fred Caldwell's younger brother. "We have the funding. It's time."

Sponsorship discussion are ongoing.

Billy Fortner, Inc. looks at entering ARLA competition

"My dad ran ARLA Street Stocks for many years, but not with our spec chassis. I kept looking back at the highlight reels and conjured up the idea of perhaps going to ARLA to help usher some future TM Lights prospects. The car will still be the FS260, but it will be given a name."

"As for the car, the Fortner team finally came up with something people can identify with, because the 2012 car coming out will be called Celero, a Latin verb for Speed. I am sure this conjuncture will work out." says BFI owner, Billy Fortner, who currently runs the TM Lights North Series with Marvin Fortner, Junior. BFI will use their Fortner powerplant.

Sponsorship contract negotiations will be underway this week, including numbers and driver lineup.

Thunder Trucks Full-Time; Elite Part-Time for Lone Star

Lance Chapman has announced that his new ARLA Lone Star Motorsports team will enter a full-time Thunder Trucks operation, and will also field a part-time ARLA Elite Series team for 2012.

"We've figured out that we would like to take it slow and steady and start with a Thunder Truck team. We don't want to spread our resources and equipment too thin, and not be able to be competitive. A part-time Elite Series team will also allow us to get our feet wet a see if we can handle a full-time ride in the near future."

No further announcements have been made public about numbers or drivers, though this will come later in the year as the 2011 ARLA season draws to a close.

Ike Durbin, Inc. Looking to Move Up

Ike Durbin, Inc. has been runnning the ARLA Thunder Truck schedule full-time since 2009, and team owner Ike Durbin is looking at moving the team up to the Elite series. Durbin, who also has a seperate operation in the VSCC, stated that they already had sponsors lined up if they were to do this. While sponsors are lined up, details about the schedule are not. In an ideal situation, Durbin would love to have a full-time car in the ARLA Elite Series. However, with a manufacturer needing to be lined up and other types of things, the team may start as a part-time team.
UPDATE: Durbin may develop a new chassis for ARLA and other series', providing he gets help from an outside source. Durbin says though he has enough funding to run an ARLA team, it would run him dry developing a chassis for ARLA, therefore he would need extra funding from outside sources. He may be looking at running a joint ownership with the provided source as well. Durbin would like to run the S.A.F.E. 17 next year.

RUMOR CONTROL: Contract Buyouts Looming for Dejao & Patti?

Team upheaval is usually not a good sign, but for MRD Motorsports, it may be a blessing in disguise. Rumors are circulating that Suiiju Dejao & Amy Patti may be asked to accept mutual termination of their MRD contracts before the season finale at Rockford. Patti is already leaving at the end of the season to pursue non-motorsports interests, and Dejao has been told he could speak to other teams about his 2012 plans.

If this plan comes true, it is believed that the combination of Tom Delgado & Azuma Kazeyama would attempt Rockford in the #37 and #73 respectively. They are both scheduled to attempt to qualify for the 150 laps of Dwyer in the #87 one-off entry.

A note to people posting rumors:

I'm looking to lift the one-team-per-chassis rule, and cut the number of chassis on the grid. With that said, any new chassis that people come up with probably won't get in.

Bloomers, Team excited for 2012.

Chuck Bloomers has said that after he looked at the new car, he's excited for 2012. "I've seen it, and I love it. I used to run cars just like it. I wasn't sure if we are coming back, but now I know for sure we are."

Bloomers also discussed the rumor of the one team per chassis rule being dropped. "I think it will be great. To be able to align with another chassis could be a huge gain for us. Don't get me wrong, the Cromwell's a great car. We just need to be able to run up front more."

2012 Team Chart/Silly Season Thread (ALL FULL-TIME CARS DUE 1/28) Empty Re: 2012 Team Chart/Silly Season Thread (ALL FULL-TIME CARS DUE 1/28)

Post by TheRacingExperts Thu Aug 11, 2011 4:20 pm

Here's the quote from the old forum:

"The 728 part time team of Nikos Kastapolous have had a decent first season in action in the ARLA Elite Series. Although the team as of Buffalo Downs has an average finish of 26.3, they havent finished worse than 24th when they dont wreck (2 of the 4 races), as well as having a great season so far in the ARLA Thunder Trucks. Now, CAM spokesperson Erik Wacelee is hinting a full time season for the team.

"We found ourselves a gain in the sponsorship opportunity," says Wacelee, "Our sponsorship guys at TRE.com told us that they wouldn't care about how we finished as long as our hood was in the highlight reel. And so far, that's been able to work out."

Also being hinted is a second team coming for the CAM lineup going part time as well. However, the driver is unknown. Currently, there are four candidates for this job. The front runner seems to be Gavin DeGray, who got the job as Nikos's relief driver in the 150 laps of Dwyer. Fazi D'Annenzo was originally the second in command for the team, but after what is now a dismal run in the ARLA Thunder Trucks in a collaberation deal with Patterson Autosport, it appears that the team will put him in the 31 car that Kastapolous is driving full time in the series. There are also two other drivers in the running: Lithuanian Mattias Jeruvicius who tried for this year's Karjala GP but withdrew, and Cyprusian young gun Gavriella Apollou who is currently driving the Dash Stock Car Series after being a two time champion of the Bleue Flame Energy Supercross Series.

The team is expected to make their decision as the 2011 season continues to unfold."

Since that post, CAM PRs have been telling sources that Apollou will likely drive in one of the team's PCC rides if the league continues, while Mattias Jeruvicius goes for the CRL Developmental League. Meanwhile, Estonian Pjotr Yeahi, who was the third driver in the CAM camp in the Rockford 200, has said that he would like to ride in a second Thunder Trucks team. Although this is not yet a done deal, it is being considered since he has not been selfish about his salary or anything like that.

Here's what we're expecting to be entered:

ARLA ELITE SERIES -
Chassis: Cromwell
728 - Nikos Kastapolous - TheRacingExperts.com
PT: 726 - Fazi D'Annenzo OR 782 - Gavin DeGray

ARLA THUNDER TRUCKS-

Leckliter Racing looking to enter a part time schedule

Leckliter Racing is looking at a part time schedule for ARLA in 2012. It is said that Chris Winter and Lucas Flint will share the ride for a undecided amount of races. The car will be the same as the one that is going to race in Dwyer and Rockford, along with the rumor of ARLA dropping the one team per chassis rule, it'll go to Lenard if the rumor is confirmed.

SpeedSOS Rumors Moving Up

SpeedSOS Motorsports has gone under a sizable reconstruction for the 2012 year, including rmoring to move their Thunder Trucks team to a part time role in 2012 in the Elite Series, among other rumors, Aoi is also considering renaming the team to S-Tech Autosport next season. If the team decides to move up, it's most likely they will use the Saar Eagle Chassis.

Car-rental company to start ARLA team?

Many racing teams employ drivers who bring money and/or sponsors, regardless of their skill level. However, M-Pire Rent-A-Car is looking to take that one step further by opening an ARLA Elite Series team and renting the car to a new driver in each race of the 2012 season.

M-Pire has enjoyed recent growth, and company representatives have said that the ARLA program, dubbed "Drive the Dream", is intended to be a thank-you to customers for contributing to the company's expansion. In 2012, the ARLA car will be driven in each race by a different M-Pire customer. It has not yet been revealed how each driver will be selected, but it is believed that M-Pire could hold tryouts.

Minnesota Racing NOT competing in ARLA 2012, Drivers availible

Minnesota Racing was planning on running ARLA for the 2012 season. But due to lack of funds and time, the team will not compete. BUT, there are a couple of free agents availible for the season.

Ricky Gonzalez - winner in the former RROL series, and is looking for a quick turn around. He needs to find a contract, or there is a chance he could loose his house!

Zach Rockensock - With a 'rockin' name, he is availble to race for on any team. At 19, he can adjust to any condtions that are necessary for him to race.

Rachel Gonzalez would like to stay with the #15 team. From insidetheawesome magazine "I have great respect for the team. I can understand if they want me out, but it'll be a sad departure if I leave."

GLM announces partnership with Ike Durbin, Inc. for 2012 Elite ride

GLM president and owner, Jim More announced this afternoon that GLM will provide a full-time Elite ride for Ike Durbin Inc. next season. The deal which had been discussed for the last few weeks was finally made official this afternoon.

The partnership will allow Ike Durbin Inc. to run an Elite series car in 2012 and provides GLM the extra car they believe they need. The car (number and sponsor TBD by IDI) will receive finance from GLM.

More when asked about the whole deal had this to say:
"I'm pleased. Ike [Durbin] needed finance for an Elite team and we needed the extra R&D. This deal worked out for both of us. Hopefully, we can have more deals like this in the future."

Ike Durbin Inc. has yet to release a statement, but it is believed one is forthcoming.

GRI LOOKING AT THE OPTIONS FOR 2012

As the season passes the halfway point, silly season is well under way, and Gravity Racing, Inc. is looking to fill in some of the question marks for the 2012 season.

GRI's Thunder Trucks program may go back on the shelf after this season due to a lack of sponsorship, which may leave Zach Gott without a ride for the foreseeable future. He will still be the crew chief of the #00 ARLA Elite Series team.

GRI's CRL Modified team will return next season, with Rush McCloud once again behind the wheel of the #71 Bolden, with Jack Link's Beef Jerky still on board. GRI will add a second team to the line-up, and have hired female driver Amanda Johnson to drive the #171 car. No sponsors have been named.

In Formula Overdrive, it's looking like things will remain in place for 2012. Ronaldo Ventura will more than likely keep his place in the ZombieBusters.com sponsored open-wheel car for Volpi Gravity Racing. He earned his and VGR's first podium at Infineon, and is currently 7th in the points standings. Regina McCloud will definitely stay with the team due to her having a lifetime contract with GRI.

The big news, however, comes from the ARLA Elite Series teams. Unless he is hired to a full-time TM Master Cup Series ride, Bruce Wilkinson will be back behind the wheel of the #7 Sub-Zero Energy Drink Volpi, as well as the #171 Subway Volpi in the TM Lights Series. Wilkinson has had great runs in the Elite Series, just no luck whatsoever. Eric Jackson, who is out for the remainder of the 2011 season due to injury, will be back behind the wheel of the #3 ZombieBusters.com Volpi next season, as he is signed with GRI through the 2012 season. With rumors about Anthony Griffith possibly being called up to the TMMC full-time next season, the #00 team may be on the lookout for a replacement driver as well as a replacement sponsor, due to X-Protect Suntan Lotion being Griffith's personal sponsor. The same goes for the flagship car of GRI, the #71 Grape Soup Volpi. Grape Soup is signed with the team through 2012, with the option of extending their contract with the team. But it's no question that team owner Packer Carroll will be called up to full-time TMMC action next year, driving for the Volpi Racing Team. The partnership of Volpi and GRI has certainly flourished over the course of the 2011 season, and Packer has shown that he can get the job done in the Volpi VC03, even when driving with a broken wrist. His team has also shown that they can win as well, sweeping the event at Verdugo earlier this season. Speaking of his injured wrist, the brace finally comes off the day before the 150 Laps of Dwyer.

This means that the #71 Volpis in both the TM Lights Series and ARLA Elite Series are in need of drivers for the 2012 campaign. Packer has stated that if he doesn't find a ride in TMMC next year, much like Wilkinson, he would like Todd Wodarczyk to drive the #71 for the 2012 ARLA season. The TM Lights #71, which will still be sponsored by NOS next season, is currently up for grabs.

Brinson Enterprises East to test ARLA waters in 2012...

ISRA team owner Matthew Brinson has stated his intents to field a privateer effort in the ARLA series next season. Brinson plans to field a Meridian Bolt in a part-time effort for 19 yr old driver Brandon Springfield, with no word yet on sponsors or backing.

The team will attempt the season opener but it is unknown where and if Brinson will field the car later in the season.

Tucker Family Inc to come in 2012?

Team owner David Tucker expressed interest in making Tucker Family Inc a full time team if their Dwyer race goes well, with David Tucker's daughter Ashley Tucker as their driver. With David Tuckers company being a sponsor most likely, their sponsorship for next year seems secure, as long as they do well at Dwyer.

The team may also try to become part time if Dwyer does not go well for them.

Durbin announces possible number, sponsors for 2012 campaign

Ike Durbin held a short press conference during the Dwyer race weekend to announce their plans for the 2012 ARLA Elite Series run, concerning the number and sponsor, as well as possibly the driver of the car.

Durbin had this to say during the press conference. "A few days ago, GLM owner Jim More announced the partnership of Ike Durbin, Inc. and Great Lakes Motorsports for 2012. At the time, we (IDR/IDI) had no idea what we were going to do for a car next year. We had a few sponsors we were talking to, but not a whole lot was organized. I am here to announce that we now have sponsors lined up for our car in the ARLA Elite Series in 2012. We had been talking to this sponsor for a while, and we were happy when they came on board for our Dwyer attempt. Bloody X, and clothing/novelty store will sponsor our car for 2012 in many events, while S.A.F.E. comes on board as an associate for much of the season, with a few races lined up as a primary as well. As for the number, while not positive yet, we may use 86x, like we have here in Dwyer. In an ideal situation, I would like to use 17, but seeing as MRD Motorsports currently owns that number, it's not looking likely. Also, while we have not confirmed a driver, we are looking at our options, however my personal first choice would be Mac Rhylen, seeing as he currently is racing for my VSCC team, and wants to move to ARLA."

It is unknown whether this will affect Ike Durbin's ARLA Thunder Truck or VSCC efforts currently.

Big Mac Racing Plans to Return

Big Mac Racing owner, Thomas Mac, stated that he really wants the team to stay in ARLA. "I like the competitive nature of the League, and I think we can improve our performance next year to a new level." Makoto Yamada, the current driver for the team, will likely stay with the team for 2011. Thomas Mac said when asked about it, "Makoto is improving every week in this sport. We would love to have him on this team again next year. I don't think he will get offers from a higher league yet, so we would love to have him back." The team also talked about possibly having a second car driven by an unnamed driver. Nothing is confirmed however.

Morales hopes to stay with Groves Racing.

Despite having a bad year, Scott Morales hopes he gets to stay with Groves Racing. "I know we've had a bad year, we all do. If Kenn is gernerous enough to give me another chance, I'll gladly take it." Morales only has two top tens so far this season, both coming from St. Petersburg and Buffalo Downs.

Bloomers Family Racing wants to see blueprints, start building cars for 2012, possibly adding another team?

Bloomers Family Racing has announced that while they still do not know which manufacturer they will officially use for 2012, they have requested as a backup plan the blueprints for the Cromwell Spec car to build them. Team statement:
"We have requested a copy of the blueprints for the Cromwell Spec car to have a backup plan for 2012. We would still like to look at all our options, but we want to be able to build up for next year."

BFR also addressed the thought of expanding for next year.
"If we get into a position at some point between now and February 2012 where we feel like we could add a second or even third full time car, we will submit an entry. One of the things that could help with an expansion is how easy it is to build the new cars."

Also, who would drive the cars, and what would the numbers be came up as a big question.
"Chuck's gonna be in the 89 next year for sure. The second or third car, we don't know the driver. It'll be two digit numbers though. We ran a 089 at one point, but a two digit number costs less than a three digit number. We'll see what's available."

Another New Driver for 2012?

A new driver has surfaced for the 2012 ARLA season and its driver Matt Mongillo of Connecticut. Matt is far from a rookie, winning 7 championships in the now defunct RRMS. He was also the winningest driver in that series' history. Matt is looking for a ride for the 2012 season. Matt hopes to possibly run in the TM Master Cup Series in 2013.

After Motor Assault Racing's grand debut season with ROTY winner Amy Harrison who finished 7th in her first year of competition, could the gemstone of the team leave after the 2011 season? Amy clarifies; "My contract with the team expires at season's end, so I'll be exploring whatever options are given to me, if I can't find anything that'll work for me I'll stay with the team."

JMJ Racing to go Full-Time?

After Grey & Jones' good run at Dwyer (which came to a disappointing end when LaVerne decided to hit them, AGAIN) the team announced they want to enter a car full-time for Mathew Grey next year. If that isn't possible, they'll settle for a part-time driven using the number 472.

I am gettin' bored dominatin' i gates tracks, its off fe prove myself fe de world now. Expect a TM Master Cup Series championship from i in 5 years. I will start in ARLA just so I kyan prove i ability in your lowest tier and work myself up, just as expected. I will consider my career a failure if I don't pass Benny Dwyer's record for TM Master Cup Series championships. I have a ram sponsorship from de niyamen meta-conglomerate JJM (Jamaican Jerked Meats for all de i-man bungo people out dere), so any team dat signs i will have more funding just by signing me.

From what this reporter has seen from the Jamacian Jahgee, he will back up his words. He has a reputation of going all out all the time and wrecking anybody in his way. He has an interview on The JESPN series, Interviewing the Champions brought to you by Jamaican Jerk Chicken This interview will air tomarrow at 12 PM EST.

Casey: So I've heard that GRI may have an open spot for 2012 in the Lights. To be honest, I'd be happy if I got a Street Stock ride with them. They're equipment is above-par, but they just haven't really had the luck to match it yet. I know that seeing how I'm doing in the VSCC, I don't deserve to be having any interests with this team in getting a ride, but does anyone know how much that would mean to get back into a decent racecar? Sorry if I just shattered DPI's VSCC reputation. I never meant for that. Shane, please don't kill me. Razz Anyways, it would be an honor if I were to take the 71 TM Lights ride for next year. I don't care if you pay me $10 a race, I just wanna race. The sound of the engines blaring in the car, the smell of rubber filling your nostrils as the cars soar around the track. That's what I came into motorsports for. To step behind the wheel and have a good time. If I could just get that, it would mean the world to me. That's all I've got to say.

It's pretty much a guarantee that I'll be driving one of the two VRT cars next year. Just no word on what the number or the sponsor will be yet.

As for the TM Lights #71, I'm considering a couple of drivers. Shane Lake, Divina Henton, and yes, Casey Lester, to name a few. I probably won't make my decision until after the season's over, because it's gonna be tough deciding who'll take the reigns of the #71 TM Lights car.

Teller hoping to return with Xenos in 2012 season

Jason Teller is hoping to return for another year of ARLA competition with the Xenos Development team. Depending on whether or not his TM Master Cup plans come to fruition, he is hoping to race for Xenos next year if an entry to the TMMC is not possible next season.

Huge news coming from the Brinson camp

Major news for the new Brinson Enterprises team. A deal is in the works for Jamaican hotshot Jacob "The Jamaican Jahgee" Gregory to drive a second car for the organization. Gregory is currently sponsored by a large Jamaican conglomerate and the funds to be supplied would not only help Brinson Enterprises to run a full time season, but with top notch equipment to boot. A manufacturer has not been announced, but team owner Matt Brinson is rumoured to be in talks with Inglesby and Nemoto. Brinson himself has also declared his interest in driving in the series, rather than contracting another driver to do so in the second car.

With that said, Brinson Enterprises could possibly enter the 2012 ARLA Season as one of the series' dark horses. With funding coming from the Jamaican pay driver enabling the team to run a competitive two team operation, the sky is the limit for Brinson Enterprises.

Brinson signs Jahgee, Nemoto power for 2012

It was finally announced this evening that the Jamaican JSCSC stock car champion Jacob Gregory has signed a 3 yr contract with Brinson enterprises with the option to opt out for a TM Master Cup series ride available.

Gregory, a national sensation in his home country of Jamaica, has decided to make the leap to the United States with Brinson Enterprises, bringing along major backing from several large Jamaican conglomerates. The talented pay driver reviewed offers from several other ARLA teams, but decided to eventually ink a deal with BE.

"This is a monumental signing for our operation. We went into this season not even knowing if we were going to be racing past the season opener, and now we've got a hell of a talent behind top notch equipment to boot. Things could not have played out any better for us, and I'm extremely happy to have pulled this deal together. However, as a brand new team coming into the cut-throat competition of ARLA, I cannot say that we will be able to come in and completely dominate the competition. It's not going to happen. However, this definitely gives us a fighting chance against the bigger operations in the sport and that is all I can ask for."

Brinson also announced that the team would be running under the Nemoto banner for their flagship season. "It's only sensible that we field the Nemoto chassis this season. We evaluated everything there was to offer, and they were by far the best package available. I am confident in saying that we will be bringing the best of what ARLA has to offer week in and week out, and again, that's all we can ask for."

In the contract, Brinson also obliges to field entries for 3 other Jamaican developmental drivers in the lower canons. For that, it is rumoured that Brinson will establish a PCC Cup team specifically for this purpose.
