I just realized how easy it is to identify which driver is in which car thanks to the driver's name being on the windshield now

Carl Edwards officially has the worst Speedweeks in NASCAR history. 5 cars wrecked since January testing.

Holy crap, Danica didn't massively fail and take out everyone up front right as the green flag flew! Next stop, some random NASCAR forum so I can laugh at all the whining about the race being rigged and how Patrick isn't really driving the car.

Man I really think Dale Jr came so close, but Jimmie really wanted that win considering the bad luck he's had in this race since 2007.

Johnson seems happy. Completely fucked up the front of his car on the grass Completely missed the middle part of the race due to the Milan derby (football), but match ended and I caught Johnson's car crossing the line.

So, how did the drivers and Danica do?

Easily the worst superspeedway race I've ever seen. Fall Tally in 2009 when they banned bump drafting was better, and the incessant babble over Danica did not help matters. Most interesting component was the engine issues for the Gibbs cars as they led. Gen 6 needs to perform on the other tracks because if they were trying to sell the idea this speedweeks, they failed.

Important lesson learned today: NEVER anticipate a caution on the last lap. Because one might not be coming. That was the difference between Danica finishing 8th and finishing 3rd.

And I'm not mad about Danica. Jimmie Johnson winning the race sums up how boring the Sprint Cup races have been at Daytona this year. It's probably one of the worst Daytona races I've seen. In other news, great runs by Smith, McDowell, and Yeley. Good to see them in the top ten. I'm excited that Newman finished the 500 for the first time in a long time, in 5th too.

That joke still isn't funny 480 miles of racing-like substance and 20 miles of racing later, and is even less so since the #10 car ran THE ENTIRE RACE in the top 10, give or take a few laps.

(only side I take on Patrick is that those who think she is an extremely incompetent so-called driver who is incapable of a good run without NASCAR rigging it for her need to be kicked in the junk, regardless of the weight loophole, the overratedness, and the annoying media frenzy)

I think we hated the race more due to the fact that there was about 10 laps of actual racing shown.

Last bit of the race was tolerable until it turned into an NR2003 online race and everyone went single file except for like two guys who wanted to make something happen.

Honestly, I'll probably forget this race, other than Danica, because thats all the coverage wanted to show us, and J.J. Yeley finishing 10th, in a few weeks. Why am I going to forget it? Because Biffle waved the white flag of surrender.

That's happened so many times that it's going to be hard to keep track of them.

Specifically, how does he act like a douchebag? What has he done that every other driver hasn't? Also, I agree with Ben. Bayne won and it was the best race ever. I don't understand why people get so irrational when their favorite drivers do not win...then again, fan is short for fanatic. The single file racing was pretty lame though.

Granted, Johnson did use to act like a douchebag, but some people do hate him purely for his success. He hasn't done anything in the last few years to stand out as a douche though.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts.

Okay race. It was fine entertainment wise but something was missing to make it a really good race.

JIMMIEWINSLOL since for whatever reason these cars can't suck up/people wait too long to make a move. Greg Biffle choking 3 races away has to be the most pathetic thing i've seen.

Of Danica won the pole, what would you expect? If they wanna talk about her, they can. So you can't outrun that.
