Probably either the lack of manufacturer decals, or the fact that Milka Duno is driving the car. Probably the latter.Pyrozooka0 wrote:

That car is made of fail not only for Chevy Tail lights on a Toyota body, but also for the biggest crime ever commited in racing: Hiring Milka Duno to drive it. To that I say this: Eddie Sharp, you're an idiot.
Also for future refference, lay off the "Stolen Numbers" thing. If we're to go off that notion, you might as well accuse JGR with their 20 car. Just abit silly considering Everyone reuses/barrows numbers/fonts and unless they aren't even the same font as the ones already on the roof or sides, hardly worth a "FAIL!" seal of approval.
And from the link posted by one of you guys, look what I found:
Carl Edward's Office Depot car from 2006.

Re: ARCA Hall of Shame
thepitlane.com finally updated some of their 2012 ARCA photos. Now all they need are the Kansas photos and they're good.
Belmont hasn't run since Race 5, so people are just stealing his cars now? Also notice the Basham numbers...
I'm pretty sure I uploaded a #28 car just like this. doesn't seem familiar at all. Nope. Got nothing...
Refer to the #14 post.
I think I may have uploaded this before, but Steve Minghenelli, Dr. Ed Bull's best bud, shows why I despise his cars. They look like they were put together by a 7 year old.
Richie Harriman sure is a fail team magnet. Especially Fast Track. Same goes for Tyler Speer. This car, aolng with the next one, are just hilarious.
This guy's name was Chris Davis or something. This car is even funnier than the last. Notice the Dodge car with a Chevy rear end.
Austin Rettig is pretty legit, but the front end looks old as hell and someone pointed out a flag on Alex Bowman's car and I don't know why he has a flag, too.
Again, Classic Tim Walter...
Guess the fail! Taking Pyrozooka's idea. lol jk. But there are a few obvious things to point out here.
This car made my eyes hurt. I'm not even joking. It seriously did and it hurt to look at.
This one also hurt my eyes due to the camera light reflecting off the numbers combined with the sheer ugliness of the number font already.

OK, I got it, Mike. Tape partially over numbers, wrong car bodies, stolen car numbers and pre-race damage? Doesn't deserve to be here. All of that with the original number(s) completely covered with tape? OMG perfect example. So absolutely none of the stuff I posted should be in here?

at Vinny's post. Sorry to Mike and Cooper.
Good to see Thomas Praytor driving Venturini's #55- I mean, #66.
There's a reason for this one, but I can't really place my finger on it. Notice the note on the B-pillar, but I'm assuming they took it off when (or if) they ran the car.
Is it me or does the suspension on this car seem a bit off on the left front?

They're in the garage, cars always have notes and checklists on them. But lack of decals is annoying.

Maybe this was posted in here already; a lot of the old stuff on here I think 404'd, so I can't tell.
This was Steve Blackburn's car from the 2012 ARCA Daytona race. I'm not sure if the praise for it was legitimate or sarcastic. Either way, it still finished fourth because everybody else decided to gamble on fuel, which was a plan that only lasted until Turn 4...
Also, somebody posted the ARCA Antics video in this thread, yet nobody posted it's sequel:

the Megagallery
found some more fail schemes. hope spannerhead deems it worthy . Â
Wrecked TWICE in qualifying.
If you look, you can see the car's old numbers. guess they ran out of duct tape.
some old school fail.
at least most tape jobs are legible. notice the roof is still number 2
they upgraded it the next week. here's the result.
um.............................................................. moo?
smallest hood logos ever. Primaries or contigs?
the opposite of most fail cars in terms of contigs
one from the fine folks at Carter-2
another Carter-2
the predecessor, the one we all know and love ON TRACK, and the failed attempt to clean up the previous one.
yay, a Peterson that hasn't been posted yet. notice the one word Monte Carlo nameplate and the random mismatched duct tape.
Some Norm Benning goodness.
No manufacturer? check. Anti Monkey Butt? check. Must be a Basham. note the clip art stars and white version of the duct tape and shoe polish font.
duct tape grill, sharpie headlight numbers, and obvious spare hood. all this ruins an actually decent (for ARCA) paint scheme.
More Peterson goodness. love how the flames don't continue over the duct tape.
It's the return of EFR's least favorite game, SPOT THE FAIL!!!! (hint: there is a fail.)
Even more Peterson. This one is a newish twist on an old classic.
Basham ditched the duct tape and shoe polish font for the hardly legible font with random pictures on scheme

Necromancy attempt 2: bottom of the fail barrel
Lets open up with the easiest "Spot The Fail" ever.
Blank white cars may not be fail, but cars where you literally cant see one of the contigs due to the stripes are.
Lets face it, I love beating on Carter-2. What does "save the US constitution" even mean? notice the absence of the manufacturer logo.
So. Much. Gradient. number has been quite clearly swapped as well.
Is that the front end of a basham fitted to a Peterson or is it just me?
Technically not a Carter-2.
Hylton does his best Carter-2 impression. Pretty convincing, huh?
At least most duct tape jobs are relatively clean tape wise.
Usually when we talk about duct tape jobs, we mean number changes, not the whole car. This is pre race damage as well.

I do question whether or not you understand what should and should not be in the Hall of Shame. I'd only put in three of those car in, maybe four. Some have absolutely no reason to be in it, and your descriptions of them are just trying to be cute when they're not.Pyrozooka0 wrote:

Generally to be a fail car, a car must have a detail that immediately brings your eye to it. This includes, but is not limited to:Pyrozooka0 wrote:what exactly are the criteria? and for that matter, which 3 or 4?flyingturns89 wrote:

- Duct tape numbers.
- Problems with the stickers not being where they should be, or totally missing. An example of this would be if a #25 car had a #35 on the roof, which is somewhere buried in this thread. Or maybe an incorrect manufacturer logo.
- Different colored sheet metal being combined into a badly painted car.
- Something being attached to the car that should not be there.
Most of the paint schemes you see in this thread follow at least one of these criteria. On your most recent post, half of the paint schemes don't follow them though. I'd only put in the white #0, the yellow and blue #0, the black #2, and the yellow #97. As for the other five, they really don't have any reason to be here. The #94 has a VERY small error which is just bad placement, the #04 isn't one of those cars that is all that noticeable unless it is pointed out, and the other three, it seems like you just don't like the paint schemes, which really isn't enough reason to be in here.

The "Technically still ARCA" Megagallery
Judging by your lack of complaints about the "Megagallery" (the first of my two huge posts on this page), I assume those are OK. Either way, I admit my last post was a bit lacking in the fail department. Sorry.
Let me make it up to you guys...............................
This one is a "tribute" to ARCA's lower divisions.
First off: the trucks.
Not only is this a tape job in many ways, the roof number still reads the original number of the car.
A minimalist approach: No roof number, no manufacturer logo, no reason I SHOULDNT post this.
another one with no roof number
Next, the ARCA/CRA Super Series: (might be a bit on the unfair side to beat up on a glorified regional short track series, but I couldn't resist)
Another one with a disturbing lack of regard for manufacturers or roof numbers.
the one in the background is cool looking, the one in the foreground...... not so much.
classic contig mobile. Notice it doesn't even have the right series logo and they still let it in.
Here we have 2 candidates for the worst number change job in a 3 digit creation role (one is behind the car that looks exactly like it)
Closer look at the second of the 2
Needs more contigs.
The thing about ARCA/CRA cars is that when they're good, they look as good as top level ARCA cars........
But when they're bad, they definitely deserve to be made fun of.
If you didn't see the difference, the one on the left is cool looking, the one on the right has what might be one of the worst number fonts known to man.
you gotta admit this pic is kind of funny. (FYI, the upper one is technically #41R but the R is barely visible)
As with all ARCA sanctioned or in this case cosanctioned series, number changes usually involve lots of duct tape.
the old "double blatant replacement bodywork"
At least the racing looks like it's pretty good.
Sadly, most ARCA Midwest Tour cars look presentable and even the ones that don't aren't HOS worthy, so this post is gonna be a bit shorter than my other ones.
