Re: ARCA Hall of Shame
ARCA in the 80s, was "special"
Oh boy the list her is gonna be big. We got Old out of date 'Big Car', Numbers way to forward and to far down. Contigs out the wazoo, and contigs overlapping the #.
Numbers to far forward....
Bad attempt at turning a speedway big car, into a short track small car.
Buick Riviera's were weird looking :/

Re: ARCA Hall of Shame
These 2 number swap photos where the only 2 times this car was used, and they are both from 2 separate seasons.
Now for some ARCA/CRA cars
This car had the ugly stick applied liberally to it.
why the hell are there monsters all over the 112?
Um.......
47 seems to be a popular number. The different models from the same manufacturer is kind of funny too. (Yes, I know one of them is AK47)
28 is a popular number too.
As is 84. (OK, I'll stop with that now.)
What are these "roof numbers" you speak of?
Now back to the main series.
that drop shadow seems to be hiding something.....
what number is that?
good old fashioned duct tape number change

Re: ARCA Hall of Shame
I didn't see much of a problem with some of the CRA cars, but w/e. I notice that the teams have really gotten their acts together since 2012; I can't really pick out a car that looks bad. Even Peterson hasn't been making the same mistakes as he did with his 2012 schemes!

Not only did you leave the car in it's cup paint job, but you also put on decals that clash horribly!
not to mention that dumb number font.

Oh my, looks like someone rearranged that front end pretty badly, but it is Wayne Peterson's team after all.
Um, are those Toyota Headlights on this car that looks like it's supposed to be a Chevy?

Re: ARCA Hall of Shame
No, those are Chevy SS headlights.
If there's anything bad about that car, it's the numbers are too low on the door.
ALso I do want to point out that's an Impala nose on the #06 and the greenhouse area is from a Monte Carlo

Re: ARCA Hall of Shame
I CAN'T LET THIS THREAD DIE!
Very unusual sponsor
Very unusual headlights
How did no one notice the roof number being upside down? Were they drunk?
Dafuq?
So THAT's how all these backmarkers get sponsors...
This one speaks for itself.
That awkward moment when your number decal is too small for the car
does this one even fit ANY template?
I can't even tell what number this car used to be
The visual definition of "bare minimum"
Double number swap: From 14 to something else (probably 06) to 0.
My apologies if some of these aren't "fail" enough for you.

First off you should, secondly the reason the number was like that was due to his sponsor being a local NBC Affiliate who had this logo.

Re: ARCA Hall of Shame
As much as I love ARCA fail cars, this thread has kind of been beaten to death in that context. And to reiterate what Casey said, there was nothing wrong with half of those cars.
Let's save it for when Daytona rolls around.

Tape-over number fixes aren't too uncommon in ARCA, but some of Hixon Motorsports' number changes have looked especially interesting.

Re: ARCA Hall of Shame
Aw... Resurrecting this thread without me? Well, here comes the probably not adaquate fail.
Oddly enough, this car actually was originally numbered 00.
Believe it or not, this is not a Peterson.
This, however is. It's actually from the same race as the first one.
Another Peterson from the Kansas race, here for sake of completion.
K&N car in an ARCA race, with a late model paintjob. Seems legit.
May actually be faster than it's Baynean counterpart.
This is one of the better number swap jobs I've seen.
Nailed it.
An old favorite shows up in 2015
Meet the Carter 2 that looks like a Peterson.
Not bad.
Funnily enough, this car also appeared with a properly aligned 7
Now that is ugly.
Number swap on the botched cover of another swap.
I probably used all the good jokes for this one before.
This car is apparently sponsored by junk mail.

Re: ARCA Hall of Shame
Alright, let's do this!
As always, my apologies if some of these don't meet your standards.
Let us begin by bearing witness to a new Peterson...
Cancer sucks, but not enough to leave that on the car apparently...
They made a Dodge for the K&N body style?
Is it just me, or was this thing "painted" using tape on the front end and rear quarter panels?
A rather unusual grille sticker placement...
Noticeable evidence of 2 number swaps...
Some from the lower levels:
When all else fails, tack on another zero.
Saving money by using as much of the paintjob template as possible...
Shoddy number swap to a number that was already taken...
This one's actually kind of impressive...
