looks like someone duct taped a dodge grill on that truck, I think that might be a different chassis than dodge...

Nope, it's an older Dodge nose. Plus the duct-tape grill.

I figured this thing deserved to be here, if not for the paint scheme alone.

Only a Bodine could pull this off.
EDIT: Or Joe Cooksey, but this was a Bodine's fault.

Where's Scott Bates when you need him? This is apparently an actual paint scheme Jeff Gordon's supposed to run this year. The person who came up with this paint scheme needs some sense knocked into him.

Well, bringing back the old rainbow scheme was definitely a nice thought...but...good Lord, could they have done it just a little bit better? Please?

Don't you think that this could be the car that Gordon could use on the All-Star race later this year?

Just a list of drivers who should be in here. Start off a few guys who actually did decent in their first year, but then for whatever reason failed the rest of the time.

So you plan on finding Sam Bass and knocking some sense of him?
BTW, Gordon's not running that. Its a fantasy Die-cast paint scheme.

I heard. Thank goodness. I like the idea of the paint scheme, it just doesn't fit on the car very well, IMO. Though, I do hope they at least use the rainbow paint scheme and the other 2 paint schemes Gordon has used throughout his career.

Those aren't too small, I don't know where you're getting that from. They still do what they're supposed to and dominate the door.
The contigs, on the other hand... there's not enough of them.
Nope.
Nuh-uh.
I don't get what the big deal about Sam Bass is, a lot of the cars I've seen that are "Sam Bass Designed" don't look all that great. Seems to me that it's something done by some guy who isn't as (color)blind as whoever the hell designs the original paintscheme.

I was thinking along those lines as well, but there wasn't usually that much yellow and red along the bottom of the car on the front and sides, at least like that. Usually a thinner stripe of yellow and red than that
Example
Not to mention I don't believe Rusty ever raced a Taurus with MGD colors, so there would be no car like that to get passed down to another team. Inspired? Probably, but I don't believe it would be an old Rusty car changed around for a different team

I remember Richardson wrecked his primary car (painted black like it should) in practice. In Happy Hour and qualifying, he drove one of Conway's backups with (I think) numbers that had the Taco Bell colors on them. This must have been what he raced in...
It looks hilarious. Wonderful stuff from FRM.

I knew they were going to be ugly when they had BK sponsorship from some local chains and not corporate sponsorship. At least Cassill is in the 500, he's a class act.
