I know this scheme is a tribute to Boston marathon bombing victims, but that doesn't make it not look stupid.

NASCAR Sports Grille in Orlando summed up in one picture right there. Went there about a month ago, and it looked like this was the only thing that had been "updated" since 2007.

Apologies for bringing up an old thread but I had to put this here.
That tape is NOT noticeable at ALL
There is just something about the black at the headlights...
Just NO.
Love the purpose, but to damn cluttered.

They actually made it white on the car they ran in the race. They pit about 8 times and parked.

What was so bad about this? The team logo goes on the left front headlight and I thought they ran Impalas back then. So what if the space between the hood and the windshield is gray.BWardboy88 wrote:I know it's a test car, but GOOD LORD.

BAD PAINT SCHEME GALLERY
why Napa cars are usually blue. and why chrome numbers just don't work.
Retina burning brightness? check. stupid white bursts that make it even worse? check. human teeth on front end of car with no concern for how stupid it will look? Double Check
What... the.... (insert obscenity here)
And the Double Entendre 500 is underway!
"We found a sponsor!" "It's the day before the race, moron." "That's OK, I have an idea!"
Definitely ARCA worthy.
Gee, Someone isn't trying very hard........

Only 3 of those cars deserve HoS status. Paint scheme's you don't like =/= HoS.
Re: NASCAR Hall of Shame
And this is what happens with HoS threads. Morons turn it into "HURP I DONT LIEK THEREFORE SHAMEFUL". Sucks really.

Lazy schemes, however, do. And you can't get much lazier than just haphazardly placing a bunch of oranges up against a plane white base.Spannerhead29 (Nelson) wrote:Paint scheme's you don't like =/= HoS.

Re: NASCAR Hall of Shame
I can't believe nobody mentioned Ryan Newman's Gen. 6 test car from this season (of course the one on top in this image).
I know it's a test car, but eyesore much? They could have made it as generic as any other of the test cars and it would've looked better!
Also, this picture is from another one of my friends in the sim-racing community, who took this in a store.
Notice it's Brad's 2012 scheme on a 2009 COT. Apparently the car doesn't have a driver's seat either.

No, the actual Hall of Shame worthy cars are ones with incorrect chassis parts or incorrect decals etc.Pyrozooka0 wrote:isn't that what the NASCAR hall of shame is all about? bad paint schemes? If you are looking for high grade fail check out the ARCA one.

Not paint schemes that are based off sheer opinion and nothing else, cars that have a legitimate reason to be in the Hall of Shame. Also there's a reason there's seperate threads for fail NASCAR and ARCA cars.Pyrozooka0 wrote:isn't that what the NASCAR hall of shame is all about? bad paint schemes? Evidently, we all have different opinions of what "hall of shame" should mean. That shouldn't be a problem, but it is being made into a problem.
