2015 FARC Silly Season Empty 2015 FARC Silly Season

Post by Ceej Sun Aug 03, 2014 8:31 pm

Team chart and additonal information

Got news that will certainly change by the time the season actually ends?

New body package in the works

FARC executives have confirmed what most fans who don't live under rocks have already known thanks to leaked photos on social media; a new body style is on its way.

Cromwell Raceworks have been working with the top teams of FARC to test the new Speedway Touring 15 body over the summer, a cheap cost-effective package that will be mandated in the Elite Series and the rechristened Super Series in 2015. The ST15 will be available with both the 105" wheelbase of the Elite Series and the 100" wheelbase of the Super Series, and is designed to be fitted onto chassis built to the current regulations of both series.

Cromwell and FARC have yet to confirm which manufacturers are partnering with Cromwell to provide identity packages for the ST15.

Macena Motorsports rebranding at the end of the season, EAR to be formed.

A news that didn't got anyone by surprise is that the Macena Motorsports operation will rebrand at the end of 2014 due to funding issues that were plaguing the team since the start of 2014. The surprise is that the team will transform itself into the Euro-American Racing (EAR). This change will wrealk havoc into the team's current lineup, which will downsize considerably their participation in minor leagues.

Starting by the minor leagues, the only operations to be preserved are the Modifieds and NRC ones, but both will scale back to only 1 car each. Casey Black will head to the American Formula C, and Oliver Black Sr. will return to the role of V8CC car owner.

With this move the focus of the team will be the Super Series and Elite Series, which are said to become 4-car armadas in each series, mostly with the help of sponsorship coming from the pay-drivers, and two of the new owners of the team, the former Formula A team owner, the switz Ian Paquet, and the brazilian stock car racing executive and former owner of Lenard-VTK, Alberto Gomes, both will dump inject money in the new operation.

In the Elite Series, only one car is confirmed, which will be the car from Gabriel Macena, another of the new owners of the team. The other three rumored cars have a long list of drivers in contention for the seats, which feature: Stephanie McGlynn, Fernando Matos, Kyle Gaffigan, João Paulo Vidal, James Hewitt, Stasya Filipov, Hannah Percy, Allie Riggs, Cletus McGuffie, AJ Young, Aaron Singer, Jacob Eichholtz, Tanner Clason, Taylor Matthews and a few other drivers not featured in this list.

In the Super Series the program could have the lineup already confirmed, featuring Isabella Macena, Aoi Mizushima, and the Elliott twins, Ashley and Charlotte. In the modifieds the seat will be taken by Kiefer Glanville, that ran the first part of the 2014 East Regional Cup very strongly. At the current moment the only thing confirmed at the moment are the numbers desired by the team: #1 ,#7 ,#017 ,#071.

Team may look like, if move is approved

ELITE

#1? - ?? - ??
#7? - Gabriel Macena - Meiling Autoworks + another sponsor.
#017? - ?? - ??
#071? - ?? - ??

SUPER

#1? - Isabella Macena - Lorelei
#7? - Aoi Mizushima - Kirisame
#017? - Ashley Elliott - Scarlet's Gentlemen Club
#071? - Charlotte Elliott - Scarlet's Gentlemen Club

After Cassandra Collins Talks Break Down, TDR Likely to Maintain Status-Quo

After the stunning revelation today on Twitter that negotiations between Tom Delgado Racing & Cassandra Collins have broken down due to unknown causes, Tom Delgado Racing are left to consider other options for the 2015 season. The current plan they are considering involves at least two full time cars, maybe a third if Frank Azure decides to come back. Otherwise, the team is expected to maintain its current status-quo. The only thing for sure is that Tom Delgado will continue to race a partial schedule, and Defender Muffler Systems will continue to sponsor him.

"We are saddened not to have secured the services of Cassandra Collins in 2015, but we still hope to do business with Cassandra & her family down the road. They have been extremely respectful throughout the entire negotiating process and we wish Cassandra & her family well in all that they want to do going forward" A representative of TDR said.

Italics indicate not confirmed

Projected 2015 Chart
#17 - Joseph Howard (2013 Champion) - ???
#37 - Tom Delgado (select races) - Defender Muffler Systems
#77 - Jim Hayes - ???
#87 - Frank Azure - ???

Alex Aeroski is planning to run full time in the elite series in 2015 with the same number, team, and sponsor from his aborted 2014 attempt, unless a better option becomes available.

OOC: what mod is being used as the new bodystyle?

(OOC: Cup90. In other words, the TM Lights mod.)

Matthews looking to expand?
It's been two seasons since Matthews Motorsports fielded two cars in what is now the FARC Elite Series.

With any luck, 2015 will change that.

The team has expressed an interest in expanding back to a two-car operation, which it last did in 2012. Leading candidates for the second car - should it be approved - would be either Carter Fitzgerald or Taylor Matthews. Both drivers have FES experience and both bring sponsorship dollars.

Lucstar Motorsports likely staying the same in 2015.

Lucstar Motorsports, a single-car team in FARC, who also has entries in FARC's lower entries, is likely staying put in 2015, a source close to the team said on Monday. Cade Taylor, after winning a NY Autoring Heat race, is staying on board the 125. Taylor Candy, also re-upping with the team. LSM is not looking to expand, citing budget issues.

LSM Spokesman : We would like to run a part-time time car next year, along with Taylor, but since were are helping developing talent in the lower series (Gray, Pellerin, Vallee) we simply can not. It depends if the rumours of the Truck Tour closing it's doors is true, if so, that may lead us to expand or look elsewhere to develop our talent. Rebecca will likely stay in the Regional East series for at least one year.

2015 Lineup? (Potential Razz)
FARC Elite Series
125 - Cade Taylor.
PT? 888 - TBD

Regional Cup East
27 - Rebecca Pellerin

Trucks/Super Touring Series?
88 - Angel Gray
888 - TBD/Pascal Vallee

Luc Pellerin looking for ride in 2015

After a lackluster FO career. Luc Pellerin is trying to make a comeback in FARC next year.
Luc a former FARC Elite Series driver, and current Truck competitor and likely out out Formula Overdrive after this year.

Pellerin : FO was such a bust, i honestly don't know what to due in 2015, maybe going back to FARC is my only choice. I'm too young for TM Lights/TMMC, zero interest in ASCC or Dash Cup. FARC is likely my destination. Hopefully a gracious team will sign me and 2015 could be something special!

Accelerator Motorsports to retain Zack Webster as full time driver, Jack Dempsey and Kelly Splison set to return for part time roles?

Yes, it seems that the team wants to retain Zack Webster, who has been having the worst luck in his full time season in the FARC Elite Series. If they can't get him to resign, the team either plans to have Dempsey run another full time season or even have Splison, who has been running part time since 2011, run full time.

Lycoia developing the Infiltrator for use in the Elite Series or Super Series?

Lycoia has been working on a variant of the Infiltrator chassis to use in the Elite Series or Super Series. Their intention is to give teams a possible low cost alternative to the Lenard R37. While they wouldn't be directly competing with their parent company, they would be merely allowing teams who want Lenard/Lycoia power under their hood the ability to afford it. This most likely comes at the cost of a detuned engine but a higher reliability or consistency out of the car itself.

Webster's Not Leaving Anytime Soon...

Shortly after Accelerator Motorsports announced their 2015 plans for the FARC Elite Series, it didn't take driver Zack Webster long to announce his 2015 intentions.

"I'm really starting to pick up speed and get more and more comfortable with this team, and it's beginning to show with the results these past few races. We just ran into a lot of bad luck at the beginning of the season. Some of it was my own doing--some of it we couldn't do anything about. It just wouldn't be smart at all to leave a team that I'm finally starting to see some success with. I was so happy to hear that I got an offer to race for a team associated with a driver like Greg Woodard, and I don't plan on leaving this team anytime soon."

Post by Ben Atkins Thu Aug 14, 2014 12:56 pm

Atkins plans no changes for the Elite Series; wants two cars for Super Series?

Ben Atkins, owner of HQS Racing, has said that he expects nothing to change on the Elite Series side of things for 2015, and that he has been ensured that both Caitlin Richler and Tammy Barnton are willing to stay at the team after both have had their fair share of good runs in the 2014 season. With Barnton being in the top 5 in points and currently in championship contention, Atkins says that it will be hard to keep the Smash Beer 500 winner at the team, but Atkins says that the equipment will be better than ever next year with the team already having worked with TM Lights cars in 2014.

His plans get interesting for the Super Series, however.

Atkins has said he also aims to get two full time Super Series cars on the grid, and that drivers in contention for the cars include current HQS relief driver Aubrey Wood, Lucy Barnton and both Bradley and Sarah Carlisle; but it was one name in particular that Atkins dropped that turned some heads.

"I've been around the Dash Cup paddock a lot, obviously, and there are a lot of drivers that have talent. But there is one driver who, week in week out, impresses me, and makes me wonder to myself 'How do they pull that off?' and so that is why I plan on offering Cassandra Collins a contract to do some sort of FARC racing on a full time basis in 2015."

Collins, who at age 17, has won 4 Dash Cup races for Team Kwik Fit, is currently believed to be signing for Atlantic Motorsports, but she has been holding off on signing the contract to replace Hannah Percy; Atkins' fiancée, and discussions with Atkins over a move to the US may be the reason why she has done so.

Atkins also said he has "greatly considered" offering Barney Ward a chance at redemption in FARC after he had a dreadful stint in 2012. Since then, Ward has been exceptional in the Dash Cup series, picking up his first win at the high banked oval Toddring this year.

Elites:
#83: Tammy Barnton - Bitter Pills Lenard
#84: Caitlin Richler - ??? Lenard
#93: Ben Atkins - ??? Lenard (PT)

Super:
#83?: Cassandra Collins? - ??? Lenard

Barney Ward's and Luc Pellerin names heard in EAR, AJ Young also considered

Rumors say that during a reunion between the owners of the Euro-American Racing, forming in 2015, Barney Ward that won his first Dash Cup race in Toddring might be in the team's sightings, Luc Pellerin is also on the team's radar, and another driver that is tabbed to take a seat in the team is AJ Young, the team may believe in his money talent, which might be the first option for the seat.

The team may also cut relations with Saar and use Lenard engines in the new season. None of the current informations were confirmed.

A few other drivers that might be promoted to the Elite Series squadra are Stephanie McGlynn, Kyle Gaffigan and Fernando Matos.
Stephanie McGlynn might return to stock car racing with the help of EAR, Kyle Gaffigan might leave Stahlman Racing at the end of the year and Fernando Matos is already a driver from the Macena Motorsports stable and posted strong results in the NRC, in the first season racing for the team. Is not known if he will be retained by the team or will be leaving the team.

Elite Series:

#5? - ??? - ??? Lenard
#6? - ??? - ??? Lenard
#071? - Gabriel Macena - Meiling Autoworks/7-1 Sports/tirADE Lenard
#10? - ??? - ??? Lenard

#5B - Charlotte Elliott - Scarlet's Gentleman's Club Lenard
#6 - Kiefer Glanville - Indiana Lenard Dealerships Lenard

William Duncan is a driver who attempted the Texas 500 earlier this year, but he didn't make the show. However, Duncan has stated interest in putting his team on the grid. He has more funding than many people may have expected, as he is planning on running full time operations in the Elite Series, Super Series, and the Regional Cup. He has backing from a select few sponsors, and will be running Saars.

BlackDiamond Entering FARC Elite Series for 2015

TM Master Cup series team BlackDiamond Racing confirmed their intention to enter the FARC Elite Series starting in 2015. BlackDiamond Racing owner Jerry Rossiter said that he was looking at creating a much deeper opportunity for drivers to make their way to the TM Master Cup series.

"FARC looks like it might be a better development pool than it has been before." Rossiter said.
"I'd like to be there, sure, but the timing has to be right, and I think in 2015, we'll be there. We have a sponsor that wants in, so we'll probably be there with two cars. No sense running just one."

BlackDiamond Racing has, for the better part of 20 years operated a very successful junior series team, primarily in TM Lights and in the TM Junior series, winning the TM Lights title with Mike Whitmore. They currently run in the TM Master Cup series with Zelda Ashby and Gaspar de Sousa.

Insiders reported that one of their cars would carry #03, for reasons unknown. French-Canadian driver Clair Auxier was rumored to drive for them, but Auxier's management vehemently denied the claim.

(OOC: I don't have any planned drivers for these cars. Get back to me on those.)

Game Company to start FARC Team

It has been rumored that mobile phone game creator Microtransaction Studios has been putting together a team for the FARC Elite Series in 2015. Microtransation Studios has been well known for their terribly shady business practices including rip off DLC, Day One DLC, and Microtransactions, sometimes all in the same game. If they are known for anything it is their sports games including having the FARC lisence up until 2009 when it was bought out by Barracodea Software. Not much is known about this except that the team will be Microtransaction Motorsports and English driver Clint Lend has been brought up in meetings, but other than that it is a complete mystery.

Luc Pellerin, Mauro Vilar and Giséle Vignon are confirmed for 2015, Ross Carter and Stephanie McGlynn could take last seat.

It was announced right after the Vicker Collision & Glass 150 at Quincy that three new drivers will join the Euro-American Racing stable: Luc Pellerin, that made selected Elite Series starts in 2013 and in 2014 ran a partial schedule in the Truck Tour. Giséle Vignon may get a full-time seat in Dash Cup due to her surprising results in her 2014 partial schedule, and will run the road course events, while another driver to be announced is running the ovals. Mauro Vilar will be in the team's third car, the one-time winner in the ELMC.

But there's one driver seat remaining in the team, which might be taken by former Formula Overdrive driver Ross Carter, that also might race in the Super Series for the same team. The information was not confirmed by either Carter or EAR.

Big Mac Racing Announces 2015 FARC Elite Series Plans

Thomas Mac, owner of Big Mac Racing, has announced tentative plans for the 2015 season. Makoto Yamada's season started well but started to fall apart as it went along. However, Yamada has secured a his deal with Kohta Electric, and the team intends to re-sign him for next season. Monica Rook, with sponsorship from her father's business, has re-signed with the team. Mac and the elder Rook would love to see the #25 full time in 2015 if the league allows it. Overall, no changes are expected.

UPDATE
Big Mac Racing to Re-Examine Driver Lineup
After months of struggling after his maiden victory, Big Mac Racing is apparently unsure that Makoto Yamada will retain his full time spot as a driver in the FARC Elite Series. Monica Rook, a first year driver, has outrun Yamada for the last few months and sits 12th in points currently despite not running all of the races. Thomas Mac says, "Monica has looked great in her few starts this season. She could definitely be competitive on a weekly basis if she had the Full Time slot. However, we will wait farther into the season to make a decision."

#22 - Makoto Yamada - Kohta Electric - (almost re-signed) [FT? PT?]
#25 - Monica Rook - Rook Construction - (re-signed) [possibly FT? PT?]

Microtransaction Motorsports Confirms The Two Drivers

A couple days ago there was a rumor that mobile phone developer Microtransaction Studios will be starting a FARC Elite Series team. Today it was confirmed and that English touring car driver Clint Lend will drive the #22 car. There has been no confirmation on what manufacturer it is. There will be a #23 car for the team but there is no word about who will be driving the car. Both cars will be full time and both will be sponsored by Microtransaction Studios.

#22 - Clint Lend - Microtransaction Studios

#23 - Trent Williams - Microtransaction Studios

UPDATE: American Formula A driver Trent Williams will drive the #23 car for the team. The team also confirmed the Lycoia Infiltrator will supply chassis for the team

2015 FARC Silly Season Empty Re: 2015 FARC Silly Season

Focus Autosports Announces Preliminary 2015 Plans

The Grand Rapids, Michigan-based FARC LoBo Truck Tour team Focus Autosports has begun to release potential FARC lineups for the 2015 season.

In addition to the FLTT with drivers Vincenzo Fochesato and Luc Pellerin, the team has been competing in the FARC Modifieds this year with team co-owner Giuseppe Fochesato as the driver, and Vincenzo has been racing in the FARC Elite Series, as well.

Joe Pittigrove, the other co-owner of FAS, spoke to the press today about the upcoming season.

Joe Pittigrove: "We feel that our resources have been used well this season, and we are very pleased with our results in the series that we're competing in. At this point, we would like to continue to field 4 cars in FARC, or we may reduce to 3, but the only thing that is certain for the time being is that we'd like our Modifieds program to maintain a status quo; Giuseppe [Fochesato] is very pleased as the driver and the owner. We're hoping to return to the Truck Tour and the Elite Series, too, but at this time we are unsure of details concerning drivers and sponsors, and what races that they will be competing in."

Pittigrove also stated that the team is hoping to expand its lone Elite Series efforts to run the full schedule, and that work is underway to obtain the sponsorship required to do so.

While it was only acknowledged in the conference that the drivers for the team's potential FES and FLTT entries are not yet know, it is already known that 3 of the team's 5 current drivers will not be returning, at least not to any full-time seats. Luc Pellerin, who raced the #4 in the Truck Tour part-time this season, will be moving to the Elite Series full-time with another team. Aubrey Wood, the team's NPCC driver, will be moving up to the new FARC Super Series to drive for HQS Racing. And perhaps most intriguingly, Vincenzo Fochesato will not be returning to the team, either, as it has been reported that he will be racing for FIAM Engineering in the Dash Cup next season. Vincenzo, son of FAS-founder Giuseppe, is the only driver that has raced for the team since its inception in 2007, and it was expected by many that he would be moving up to the Elite Series with them next season.

The only FAS driver whose plans for 2015 have not yet been determined is NRC racer Riley Durbin. It is currently uncertain whether he will return to the team, either returning to the NRC or moving over to another series, or not.

It was stated that there are currently no plans to enter any cars in the FARC Super Series of the FARC Regional Cup.

Luc Pellerin to race FARC Elite Series full-time, part-time effort in Trucks & Super Series included.

The former FO driver, signed with Euro-American Racing, for 2015, with several sponsors joining him, in the 10 car. The 19 year old sophomore has also hinted at a part-time effort in the Duckroll Super Series, with the same team, and some events in the FARC Truck Tour, with Focus Autosports. Pellerin said that the Truck Races he does attend, are either companion events, or on a off-week for the Elite Series. The New-Brunswick native is willing to bring Focus Autosports their first win in FARC.

Focus Autosports Joining Super Series?: Truck Tour and Modifieds Operations Likely to Return

Focus Autosports has announced some plans regarding the upcoming FARC season, all of which are official pending approval from FARC officials.

- The team would like to continue to field 2 entries in the FARC LoBo Truck Tour (soon to be renamed the FARC Truck Series), the series that the team has competed in since first joining ARLA in 2013. Luc Pellerin will be returning to his part-time seat that he occupied last year in addition to his Elite Series duties for EAR. The New-Brunswick native and the #4 truck have scored FAS's best FLTT finishes to date, but the driver of the other truck, at the time of the press release, is currently unknown. While no potential drivers were mentioned, it was stated that it may not be running the full schedule, either. This means that, despite the general success of FAS in the Truck Tour over the past 2 seasons, the team may surprisingly not be contesting for the championship.

- Team co-owner Giuseppe Fochesato will be returning to the Master Spark Modifieds for his second season in the series.

- Despite what has been alluded to in earlier press reports, the team will not be returning to the FARC Elite Series Powered By Smash Beer in 2015. Following a part-time bid in 2014, the team has decided to take its new-and-expanded full-time efforts to the FARC Duckroll Super Series for its inaugural season. The team will be bringing in to-be 18-year-old Indiana native Riley Durbin from the National Racing Championship, where he has shown lots of speed in his debut season in the series this year. As the press report was regarding FARC, the team did not announce any official NRC plans for 2015, but it was hinted that they would like their operation in that series to return once again.

Sponsorship has not been confirmed for any of the potential entries, although it appears likely that apparel company Bloody X will provide associate sponsorship to the team's Super Series entry, considering its associations with Riley Durbin's older cousin Ike. It is also expected that Giuseppe Fochesato and Joe Pittigrove will continue to fund the Modified Series entry out of pocket.

Preliminary 2015 Lineup:

HQS bring in Barney Ward for the 2015 Elite Series

HQS Racing have brought in Brit Barney Ward to drive the #84 car in the FARC Elite Series in 2015. Ward has been impressive in the Dash Cup series, scoring his first win at the Toddring in 2014, and consistently being very high in the points despite not having the best car in the field.

Ward had a brief tenure in 2012 in the ARLA Elite Series, however he was barred from making any more starts after a miserable first three races, but HQS team owner Ben Atkins is sure that Ward has come "leaps and bounds" from that stage in his career, and is confident that Ward can perform well for HQS.

Preliminary HQS Team Chart

Elites:
#83: Tammy Barnton - Bitter Pills Lenard
#84: Barney Ward - ??? Lenard
#93: Ben Atkins - ??? Lenard (PT)

Super:
#83: Caitlin Richler -InstaSelfie Lenard
#93: Aubrey Wood - ??? Lenard

EAR signs Ross Carter ,Giséle Vignon and Kelly Ashcroft

Euro-American Racing signed Ross Carter and Giséle Vignon to share the #12 car in the 2015 FARC Elite Series season. These two will drive the #12 and #13 in Super Series respectively

Carter is a former Formula Overdrive racer from Ireland and Vignon is a Dash Cup regular in 2015, both will share the #13 car in the 2015 Elite Series season, Carter running on the ovals and Vignon running in the road courses.

A few drivers rumored to take a spin in the #12 are Stasya Filipov and Hannah Percy, both are Dash Cup drivers like Vignon.

In the Super Series, the team will have a possible 4-car armada, with Luc Pellerin and Gabriel Macena running selected races in their Elite Series cars, Ross Carter racing the fukll season with the #12 and Giséle Vignon sharing the #13 car with Kelly Ashcroft, that ran in the APRS until the conclusion of 2014.

Ashcroft is sister-in-law of Gabriel Macena, one of the EAR owners and possible driver of the #11 car in the Elite and Super Series.

GRAVITY RACING, INC. TO POSSIBLY RUN THREE FULL-TIME ELITE SERIES TEAMS IN 2015, WITH TWO TEAMS IN THE SUPER SERIES

With the FARC Regional Cup being rechristened the FARC Duckroll Super Series and using the same car as the Elite Series, Gravity Racing, Inc. revealed their potential plans for the 2015 season.

ELITE SERIES
The only confirmed driver on the Elite Series side is Isaac Lightener, who will continue to drive the #94 ZombieBusters.com Isanni through the 2015 season. Rachel Rainsford hasn't been confirmed to be returning to the #71 next year, but is highly likely after yet another top 10 points run in 2014, and is largely dependent on whether or not she is offered a full-time TM Master Cup Series ride.

GRI plans to move the #70 Lobo/All-Stick Isanni up to full-time competition in 2015, but is currently in search of a driver.

SUPER SERIES
With John Quackenbush's recent success in the National Pro Cup Championship, he will be moved up and will be attempting to run the full season in both the Super Series and the NPCC's new Super Pro Series, with Quackenbush calling his attempt "the Super-Super Season".

GRI's developmental driver Hunter Blaize will be piloting the #71 Proto-Call Isanni in select events in 2015, while a soon-to-be named driver will run in the events that Blaize does not contest.

Elite Series:
#70: ??? - Lobo/All-Stick Isanni
#71: Rachel Rainsford? - Lynxe Isanni
#94: Isaac Lightener - ZombieBusters.com Isanni

Super Series:
#28: John Quackenbush - ??? (Duckroll, maybe?) Isanni
#71: Hunter Blaize, ??? - Proto-Call Isanni

Ike Durbin, Inc. Lineup Currently Unknown for 2015

As it has come to be associated with Ike Durbin and his racing team, Ike Durbin, Inc. has kept relatively quiet about their plans for 2015. Both Ryan Griffin and Tanner Clason were signed to one-year deals, another norm for the team, and it is currently unknown if either driver will return to the team in any capacity. Speculation has arisen that Clason and Grandmaster Dragon could leave the team and re-start Clason Enterprises, while other rumors have claimed Clason could leave FARC entirely. Jake Warren, the team's general manager, denied these rumors, but also denied that Clason was set on returning. Clason currently sits sixteenth in points in his rookie season.

The future of Ryan Griffin, the team's lead driver who scored IDI's maiden victory at Karl's Superstore of Riverside, is also up in the air, as there have also been talks that he could leave the team, taking sponsor HP Engineparts. These same speculations arose around this time last season, and Griffin returned after some solid runs late in the year.

With the new addition of the FARC Super Series, Ike Durbin, Inc. did insinuate that they could move one of their Elite Series teams to the Super Series. However details are unknown at this point.

While the Elite Series has been the main focal point of the team, IDI does have a part-time Truck Tour team, with young Geo Arias and HoodCorp. as the driver and sponsor. Apparently Arias has made remarks that he could go off-road racing for the 2015 season, leaving the truck seat vacant. Roy Warren, Allison Miller, Allison Wilson, and Casey Lester have been rumored to this ride, while other reports indicate the trucks operation could be suspended for the second time.[MOTOZONE.rac](09-02-14)

Full Throttle and Santos to Super Series Full-Time in 2015

Henry Santos and Full Throttle Motorsports have made the occasional surprise appearance in the FARC Elite Series since 2011, making one start at the Dwyer Speedpark in 2011, in which the team and driver combo finished twelfth in their debut race. In 2014, however, they have attempted more races than ever before in an attempt to build their operation to make a bid for the 2015 championship. However, as the team has confirmed, Santos will run for the Super Series title rather than the Elite Series championship.

Sylab Technologies, the corporation who has sponsored the team through the 2013 and 2014 seasons, will return for 2015 for at least half of the schedule.[MOTOZONE.rac](09-10-14)

THE RACING TEAM TO EXPAND TO THREE CARS?!

Please have mercy on our souls and let this be a bad joke.

Wesley Family Racing Closing Elite Series Teams
According to an anonymous source, Wesley Family Racing, which currently runs one full-time and two part-time teams in the FARC Elite Series, will not field any cars in the series next year. Team owner Carter Wesley had reportedly invested a large amount of money in building the new 2014-spec Elite Series cars, and was "infuriated" by the announcement of the Cromwell ST15, refusing to build a new fleet of cars for the 2015 season.

Wesley is apparently not entirely finished with FARC yet. Supposedly, the team's Truck Tour operation will become the flagship of the organization; Elite Series driver Richard Scott is currently second in points, and Jacob Wesley scored a win at Langhorne. However, it is not yet clear if Scott, Carter's nephew, will remain with the team, or even in FARC; he is reportedly looking to move to the TM Lights series. The team's other Elite Series drivers, Aaron Singer and Neil Miller, are also not confirmed to return, and may bring their sponsorship money to another team. The anonymous source claimed that Singer's father Lou may buy some of the team's equipment and machinery to form his own team.

There has been no news on the status of the team's Regional Cup operation.

Griffin would like to remain in FARC in some capacity

As the FARC Elite Series reaches its latter part of the year, the 2015 rumor and silly season has kicked into high gear. And the fans aren't the only ones keeping an eye on the changes coming in '15.

IDI's Ryan Griffin, who scored his maiden FARC Elite Series win in the feature at the Karl Superstore Showdown in Riverside, was asked by a local sports news reporter at an HP Engineparts function in Monroe, Michigan, about what his plans were for 2015.

His response was this:

"I would love to remain in the Elite Series, but I think in general I'd just like to be in FARC. I got my start in the Truck Series here and I'd like to remain in FARC. Ideally I would love to be back with Ike [Durbin] and his race team and this #86 next year, but I also know that there is a possibility I may not be here next year if IDI goes in a different direction. Right now, though, our force is on finishing this year. We've got a win already and we'd like to get another."

Euro-American Racing rebranding put on doubt, new name?

After a extensive propaganda of Macena Motorsports transforming itself into the Euro-American Racing operation, the team owners will keep the same, but the team will rebrand to something else than Euro-American Racing, due to the european Ian Paquet leaving the team, before the start of the season. The team has come to several possible choices, but VTK Racing, due to one of the team owners, the brazilian Alberto Gomes having connections with the multinational mining corporation, looks promising.

Ross Carter, former Formula Overdrive driver, will start selected Elite Series races in 2015, and Stasya Filipov together with Giséle Vignon decided to not race FARC in 2015, due to Dash Cup commitments, at the current moment is not know if FARC race winner Hannah Percy will do any runs in the team's third car, sharing it with Carter.

FULL-TIME - ELITE SERIES

#10 - Luc Pellerin - VTK Mining/Kagyiama Insurance/Horse Piss
#11 - Gabriel Macena - Launch Energy/VTK Mining/Meiling Tea

PART-TIME - ELITE SERIES

#12 - Ross Carter - Saynt (EXPECT JEREMY METHFIELD)

FULL-TIME - SUPER SERIES

#12 - Ross Carter - Saynt/VTK Mining

PART-TIME - SUPER SERIES

Luke Ocean looking to break away from Flying High Motorsports? Lora Ocean's ride in doubt as well, but for an entirely different reason.

"To say I'm not looking for a full-time ride would be a lie. I just don't think Flying High is going to make me a full-time driver, so if that's the case, I may leave but I don't know yet." - Luke Ocean

Lora Ocean refused to comment, but Alice Hawk, the team owner did.

"Granted, Lora has done an incredible job for the team, winning a sprint race and even getting two other top 5 finishes. But she has made 13 starts this season and she has either blown the engine or wrecked the car 7 out of the 13 times. I get it, sometimes, you cant control people crashing in front of you or you can't control engine failures, but I personally feel we have had cars good enough then the results fail to show for it. As for Luke? I like Luke, I think he's a solid driver who deserves a full-time ride, he has two top 10s this season and only 3 DNFs in his 10 starts, but I can't even promise this team will be open." - Alice Hawk

HQS bring in Fresh Only Bakery to sponsor Atkins and Ward, Ricky and Lewis' to provide sponsorship as well

HQS Racing have brought in more strong backing for their bid to get back on the FARC Elite Series grid by securing sponsorship from the Fresh Only Bakery to sponsor Ben Atkins and Barney Ward in their efforts in the series. While Atkins will be part time, he will run a paint scheme similar to Barney Ward's. Ricky and Lewis' are also provided sponsorship for at least one driver, and it is rumoured to be Aubrey Wood in the Super Series, but they could also pick up sponsorship for Tammy Barnton for several races, even though Bitter Pills have resigned with her after her good performance in 2014.

There are rumours that Atkins could share his Elite Series car with Caitlin Richler so Richler gets a start or two in the Elite Series, after she has been performing well in the #84 car this season as well. Atkins admitted that he wanted to keep Richler in the Elite Series, but he deemed Ward to be a better fit for the car in the 2015 season.

It is unknown if Joe Tree and Lawn Care will stay as a primary sponsor for the team, after they sponsored Caitlin Richler in the 2014 season, but Atkins has said that they will be sponsoring the team as a secondary sponsor for many of the cars.

Tammy Barnton could leave HQS to pursuit career in NPCC

Current HQS Racing driver Tammy Barnton could be leaving the team to try to find a ride in the NPCC Super Pro Series to progress in her racing career, several media outlets are reporting. Barnton, who won the Smash Beer 500, has been performing well in the HQS Racing #83 Lenard, but it is rumoured she wants out of the team to try and make a break into international racing. With NPCC leaving the USA in their Super Pro Series, and with Barnton having links with the series prior to 2014, she could make the move, allegedly with Desert Star Autosports.

If Barnton does depart from the team, HQS may bring Caitlin Richler back up to the Elite Series ranks where Richler has also been performing well in her short tenure in the #84, replacing Ramsey Coquinner. This would leave a vacant spot open in their planned Super Series campaign, which could leave the team looking for a new driver.

(OOC: This move is probably going to happen. If anyone has a driver for the 2nd Super Series car, feel free to PM me.)

Red Wing Racing to suspend operations at season's end?

After an abysmal FARC LoBo Truck Tour season riddled with engine failures and reliability issues, Red Wing Racing's short time in FARC may be coming to a close as they only have two engines left in their shop that will adequately fit FARC regulations. All of the other ones have blown out or malfunctioned beyond repair during the season.

"I've been trying, but we can't keep having our arsenal fail us." Team owner Alex Middleton addressed the media Thursday night. "We can't really afford to blow another motor since those can be sold at a value that'll help the team a bit. We have chassis that could give us some dough if teams take them, but they wouln't take the engines along with them. The reason is busted wide open and everyone knows. If we can just end the season with a solid couple of races and bring the trucks home in one piece, then we might be able to run for two or three races next year, but if it doesn't hold, we're screwed. [I] Can't put it to you any more straightforward than that."

The only time that Patrick Johannson's name has been mentioned at all in the 2014 FARC season has been either when the 17 has gone a lap down or had a terminal problem. The Bostonian, entering his home race, may be fed up with the lack of results.

"I know that I, and this team also, are better than this." Johannson addressed the media shortly following his team owner. "I don't wanna let my bros back home down with a 23rd-place finish again. I've been workin' as hard as ever trying to help fix this reliability issue we got goin' on. I pray to God that we'll get somethin' right and prove what we're really capable of."

Whilst Middleton hinted uncertainty regarding the team's 2015 plans, they appear to be focusing on their current races, taking careful steps each day in order to salvage the remains of the team's broken hopes of the 2014 LTT season.

TM Lights team looking at a FARC Super Series entry in 2015; driver search underway

Great Lakes Motorsports, which currently fields two entries in the TM Lights Series, released a statement today saying that the team is eyeing a return to FARC though in the newly christened Super Series.

GLM, which ran in the FARC truck series in 2011 and ran in the Elite Series from 2011-2012, would have backing from current TM Lights sponsor, High Voltage Guitars. The entry would be a full time entry. As of the time of the release, a driver is TBD.

Lucstar Motorsports applies for 2015 entries.

LSM is looking to maintain the status quo from 2014. Cade Taylor, winner at NY Autoring, is returning in 2015, with the same crew like last year. The team will not be entering the super series, and they will potentially field 2 full-time trucks. Angel Gray is returning after a good 2014 season. Pascal Vallee is leaving for Dash Cup. So the team is looking for a second driver. Rebecca Pellerin will return in the FARC DiEmAr Chassis Regional Cup : East.

-Elite Series-
125 - Cade Taylor

-Trucks-
88 - Angel Gray
43(888 in 2014) - TBD

Accelerator Motorsports seeks Ben Atkins for 2nd possible full time slot. Atkins told he has the choice of sponsor and number.

Seems that Zack Webster may have a full time teammate in TMMC driver, Ben Atkins. The team sounded off interest in Atkins after he expressed that he wanted to return to the FARC Elite Series. The team contacted Atkins about a possible deal where he would have a 2nd full time seat along side Zack Webster. Kelly Splison was told by the team that she would either remain a part time driver or move into the Super Series, driving alongside the returning Barry Spengler.

Desert Star Motorsports to take over HQS; Atkins looking to take Accelerator Motorsports offer?

In a shocking move, Henry Sylvester has announced that Desert Star Motorsports have taken over HQS Racing in the wake of Ben Atkins potentially making a move to Accelerator Motorsports. Sylvester has previously entered a car into the FARC Elite Series only once, with Lucy Barnton at this years Smash Beer 500, where Barnton was incredibly fast, only for Ryan Matthews to buy out the effort when Barnton made the show.

Sylvester's successful armada have won championships in the lower levels of FARC, with Tammy Barnton winning the Trucks championship in 2013, before making a move to the Elite Series, ironically, to HQS Racing. The team also won the National Dirt Trucks Championship title in 2014 with their current FARC LoBo Truck Tour driver Bradley Carlisle.

Sylvester announced that some of the sponsorship deals that Atkins brought to the team before it was bought out will still be around, but some of the sponsors, such as Lewis and Ricky's and Bitter Pills have moved from the team with Atkins. The Fresh Only Bakery and Joe Tree and Lawn Care are expected to stick with the team, as well as long time sponsor to the team Lucky 777 Cola coming on board. The driver line ups for the Elite Series and Super Series are not expected to change at this current point in time.

Many of the current drivers for HQS Racing have worked with Desert Star Motorsports in the past; Caitlin Richler ran NRC for the team in 2014, and Tammy Barnton, as mentioned before, won a Trucks championship with the team, but Barnton will be departing from the team to make way for Barney Ward.

Current DSM Team Chart

Elites:
#83: Caitlin Richler - Fresh Only Bakery Lenard
#93: Barney Ward - Lucky 777 Cola Lenard

Super:
#83: TBA - TBA Lenard
#93: Aubrey Wood - Joe Tree and Lawn Care Lenard

Singer, Miller Seats Not Safe
With Wesley Family Racing's 2015 FARC plans hanging in the balance, reports are emerging that two of the team's drivers may be looking for other opportunities to compete in FARC in 2015. Aaron Singer and Neil Miller are reportedly looking at any available opportunity to run either the Elite Series or Super Series, and will bring their respective sponsors along.

(OOC: PM me if you're interested)

Wesley Family Racing May Sell Trucks to Kevin Norton
After initial reports surfaced that Wesley Family Racing may not compete in the Elite Series in 2015, it was expected that they would focus their efforts on the Truck Tour instead. Now, however, it appears that the team's Truck operations instead may be sold to Central Regional Cup team Kevin Norton Racing. It is believed that the team will look to run at least one truck full-time, the current #27, and current KNR driver Stanley Parsons would get the seat. If the team runs the #33 truck as well, the team may run either one of the current WFR drivers, or may bring in a newcomer.

Malone Moves to Super Series, Looking for Elite Series Opportunities; Other Teams Follow
Mike "Knuckles" Malone, a two-time winner in the FARC Regional Cup West, has announced that he will move his team to the new Super Series in 2015. The Californian will continue to run the full schedule, with sponsorship from his personal business, Knuckles' Sandwiches. Additionally, Malone has stated he is looking to run additional Elite Series races, either with his own team, or with another outfit. Malone made starts in the Elite Series events at Albuquerque and Riverside in 2014.

Also confirmed to be moving to the Super Series in 2015 are Motocross champion Kerry Rodriguez, and Mexican Paco Martinez.

WilsonTech Maintains Status Quo
Veteran FARC Modifieds team WilsonTech will continue to race in the series in 2015, with their longtime lineup of Jeff Wilkens and Joe Hatcher. Wilkens may make a limited amount of Elite Series starts once again, and the team's 2014 sponsors will return.

Prescott Eyes Move to Super Series
59-year old Robert Prescott of Arizona has announced on one of his several personal blogs that he hopes to move his Formula USA Racing Team operation to the FARC Super Series for 2015. Prescott began racing in the FARC Modifieds in 2014 in an attempt to attract investors, hoping to both form and drive for an American-based Formula A team, and to fund his "clean energy development" company. He has not been competitive all season.

Young signs with PSM

AJ Young will officially move to a third Pearson-Sweeney Motorsports entry for the 2015 FARC season, according to the latest news posting on PSM's website.

Pearson-Sweeney Motorsports wrote:Pearson-Sweeney Motorsports is proud to welcome AJ Young to our racing family. Young will pilot the #15 EY Lenard R37 in the FARC Elite Series Powered by Smash Beer in 2015, joining teammates Jason Bates and Lucas Sweeney.

Said Young, "I am very humbled to begin working with my fellow racing legends Andy Pearson and Paul Sweeney. I can't wait to start adding to their success".

AJ Young has been a news maker ever since he started his racing career in 2001. He has displayed his unique racing style in FARC cars and trucks, sprint cars, and modifieds all over the country.

M&J Racing, the team that Young has driven for during the past two seasons, declined to comment on Young's departure.

VTK Racing close to sign Aaron Singer?

Reportedly, VTK Racing scouts are trying to sign Aaron Singer, with his seat in Wesley Family Racing not safe at all, VTK might sign him for several reasons, like his "talent".

Another news note is that the team announced its intentions to use sequential numbers in 2015. They are reportedly looking for the numbers: 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

Question: Do we wait for confirmation before we put our teams on the TMPedia chart, or can we go ahead and put them in if we've made our plans known?
