Re: 2019 FARC Silly Season Thread
Master Sport Racing possible change of hands yet again?
Alexa Lake, who is the co-owner of Master Sport Racing said in a recent interview -"Regarding FARC, and my failure as a team owner recently, I'm left wondering what I should do in regards with this team. For myself, I want to continue running MSR to my best capabilities, but I made some poor choices that left MSR in near bankruptcy."
"Though it was not all my doing, I cannot but help think what I could have done better that would have prevented an error like this. At any rate, Wes Maret, who has made a couple races in 2018 is in works with possibly becoming the full-time owner - it is my duty to rely on him if he does become the team owner. I won't be remorseful - I'd actually much rather have Maret own the team than myself. I've known him since I was a baby. He is the one who began my racing career, after all. I am going to terminate my ownership of MSR for now and give the team to Maret."
Wes Maret, the soon to be 57 year old Illinoisan has had decent runs in poor equipment in Lowe Dollar for Master Sport Racing, but in the Larry Lemon Super Series, he fought valiantly in the 2017 season to get two wins and finish third in the championship fight. Currently, his 2018 campaign isn't going to the degree of success his 2017 rookie campaign did, but Maret has been close to getting wins in the 2018 stint, but just couldn't get there yet. He has had poorer results this season, as per misluck.
Maret, in his early years ran many short tracks across Illinois and Indiana and making regular trips to surrounding states of Ohio, Michigan and even as far down as Virginia going to various short tracking events. In his 39 years of grass-root racing, he's wagered 34 wins including two from 2017 in FARC LLSS.
He stated after the revelation from Lake that -"I'ma be fully obliged and ready to take ahol' of this here team from Alexa Lake might she give it to me. My career has steadily improved ever since I was a young lad..around 16 years of age, where I finished seventh on debut. Regardless of the sit-iation, I'm lookin' forward to take the reigns of Master Sport Racin.'
Wes Maret is cited to bring his number, 54 up to FARC Lowe Dollar for the 2019 season in a full-time campaign. As of yet, he has stated that he will not be the driver, and that he intends to continue running in the super series for a bit longer, but he has his regards for drivers to make a debut in FARC for 2019. Further details are presenting soon.

Re: 2019 FARC Silly Season Thread
Malone Committing to Lowe Dollar Series?
While Mike "Knuckles" Malone's spontaneous attempt to win both the FARC Lowe Dollar and Larry Lemon Super Series championships remains a longshot, the Los Angeles' native's win at ABQ and his history of results in the lower-tier FARC tours has still raised eyebrows in the garage. Sources close to Malone are now suggesting that Malone seeks to graduate to an extended schedule exclusively in the Lowe Dollar Series in 2019, either for the minimum number of races for championship eligibility, or the complete season.
Malone has indicated in the past to reporters that funding and his commitments to his Knuckles' Sandwiches restaurant have been his primary setbacks to furthering his racing career, but that "if the right deal or money came along, I think I could find someone to handle the biz."
The other question surrounding Malone's 2019 plans is whether he plans to move his own team into the Lowe Dollar Series, or drive for another operation, such as his current seat at Lou Singer Racing. Malone reportedly is prioritizing signing with another team to reduce the financial burden on himself, but Knuckles' Sandwiches would likely sponsor any potential team he signs with for at least a part-time schedule.
Teenage Newcomers Setting Sights on Super Series
On September 20th, Baraboo, Wisconsin's Skylar Brayden received the best 14th birthday present a boy could ask for- a brand-new FARC Lowe Dollar Series stock car. The lifelong racing fan was soon off to the Apex Racing School, where he is currently being instructed in hopes of receiving his FARC license and entering the Smash Beer Oktoberfest Nationals in nearby LaCrosse.
While watching his son's progress, Skylar's father John Brayden told onlookers that "if all goes well, you're gonna see him become the next racing legend, starting next year in the Super Series".
To complement Skylar's driver development, the elder Brayden later announced that he would be fielding a second car for Oktoberfest and 2019, driven by 16-year old late model specialist Samantha Mason. Brayden described Mason's role as being primarily to support his son and the team with setups, and she will drive equal equipment to him, albeit without the sponsorship of the family's "B" Line Trucking company.
Odds and Ends: Lowe Dollar Part-Timers, Super Series, Trucks
After failing to qualify for any of their attempts with either FARC returnee Bill Tissom, or former Dash Cup driver Noemi Giordano, Laser Motorsports will depart the FARC Lowe Dollar Series for a second time. They will be returning to their sports car roots, converting their FARC cars to fit AmeriCar's AC-2 class regulations.
After making his debut in the Provo 120K, local road racer Ellis Gideon expressed interest in competing in the Lowe Dollar Series again, should the series return to Provo in 2019, and was also seen going garage door-to-garage door offering his services to larger team in need of a ringer.
While Richard Scott continues to set his sights on a larger role in the TM Master Cup Series, TM Lights, or ASCC, he has indicated that should his schedule allow, he would be interested in once again making one-off FARC appearances in the Southeast, driving the familiar #27 he fields with his father.
In FARC's developmental divisions, Super Series fixture Neil Miller is likely to return with his familiar #90 Miller Financial/Klik.us car, along with additional advertising for his new YouTube channel, "Big N's Bros N Brahs". Meanwhile, while Mike Malone is reportedly moving on to the Lowe Dollar Series, he may continue to field a car in the Super Series for another driver, should funding permit. Malone's top choice reportedly is his protege Duke Crosby, head cook at Knuckle's Sandwiches and an aspiring racer as well.
While Craig Carter Motorsports' results in the Truck Series have been unspectacular, the team confirmed on Facebook that they plan to return for another season with Art Gordon. Gordon's former NPCC teammate Eddy York has been suggested as the driver of a potential second truck by some sources.

Roy unsure of 2019 Plans
As Roy said himself, 2018 has been horrible, and he blames himself. The dirt track driver recently opened a very successful construction vehicle company. Roy INC, as it has been named, will be sponsoring Roy for as long as possible if he can find a ride as there has been no word on a contract renewal with SWH Racing.

SWH Racing back in 2019 with three cars
SWH Racing will be back in 2019 with their existing three car lineup. Danica Holifield will once again be in the #25, though this time with sponsorship from Vine Security. The #51 Paragon Mutual Leasing Lenard was driven by Tony Long in 2018, but it is unknown at this stage whether he has agreed to a contract extension. Finally the part time #777 car will continue to be driven by Rich Roy, this season with sponsorship from his new construction firm Roy INC.

KAT Motorsports' future uncertain if Johnson leaves for TM Master Cup
KAT Motorsports plans for the 2019 FARC Lowe Dollar Series season could be up in the air due to the uncertainty around their driver, 2016 champion Chuck Johnson. The 33 year old was one of the talking points among a number of TM Master Cup Series teams attending the recent race at Provo Motorsports Park as potential rookie signees for the 2019 TM Matser Cup Series season. While landing a Master Cup ride would be great for Johnson, whose career seemed over after 2014, it would put the Kathryn Azure owned team in a tough spot. Johnson joined the team in 2016 after a disastrous 2015 season resulted in them being dropped by former parent team, FAC Motorsports and as a result, Johnson took a team that was lucky to make it on the grid the previous season, to championship level. In three seasons with the team, Johnson has won three races, the last being at Road America in 2017, along with the 2016 championship. However, if Johnson leaves for greener pastures, the team has no backup plan in place when it comes to a replacement.
While Azure didn't talk much about their 2019 plans, she did express gratitude toward Johnson for his services. "We're happy that Master Cup teams are looking at Chuck, we really are. He's worked hard to get to this point and it's finally starting to pay off. We're grateful for everything Chuck has done for us. He came in when we had next to nothing and brought us to the promise land. If this is the end, I can't thank him enough and we wish him the best."
Kathryn Azure also stated that the team would like to keep Johnson around in some capacity, even if he goes to Master Cup, but said they'll cross that bridge when they come to it. The rumor before Provo was that Johnson could land a Independent's Trophy ride with Azure's husband's team, FAC Motorsports. That could still happen if Johnson doesn't land a spot for a full-time team. After 11 races, Johnson sits 2nd in points, 75 points behind points leader Mark Thompson.

Quinnipiac Motorsports to Attempt Limited 2019 FARC Schedule
HAMDEN, CT - Quinnipiac Motorsports, a local motorsports team currently operating on the New England short track and road racing circuits, is gearing up to make a foray into the Federated Auto Racing Championships (FARC). The team is currently preparing its entry for the 2018 FARC Oktoberfest Nationals in Wisconsin, where TM Master Cup series driver Joe Olenick of West Haven will drive.
Team owner Matt Carrano stated that drivers would likely be scouted from the weekly racing series at nearby tracks; Carrano specifically cited Thompson Speedway, Seekonk Speedway (in Massachusetts), and Oxford Plains Speedway (in Maine) as tracks where the team has already sent scouts. He also emphasized that they would be open to signing a veteran driver to help with team development, as it's unlikely Olenick will be able to run any 2019 races "beyond maybe another shot at the Nationals".
When asked which of FARC's three touring divisions the team would enter, Carrano reported that the team was applying for the Lowe Dollar Series and the Larry Lemon Super Series, which represent the two highest-tiered series in the FARC Championships.
Editor's Note: At the time of publication of this article, Quinnipiac Motorsports' entry to the 2018 Oktoberfest Nationals has not been confirmed by FARC officials.

In an interesting move, NAAC team TurboSports will move to FARC completely in 2019
The 2019 Silly Season has been a large event for West Virginia based NAAC team TurboSports. The team began the Silly Season by announcing intentions to run a TM Master Cup Series Independents Trophy car in 2019, but currently, the team is now planning to move wholesale from the NAAC to FARC for 2019. The team is planning to field cars in all 3 series, with Texas born NAAC race winner Austin Sanders in the Lowe Dollar Series, 19 year old A.J. Canton in the Super Series, and Team owner Alex Constantine in the Truck Series. All 3 of these cars currently do not have a number, but these cars will most likely be Lycoias and will most likely to be sponsored by St. Louis based martial arts instructor RKO Self Defense like the team has since 2014 in the NAAC.

Matthews Motorsports to make FARC return?
The last time Matthews Motorsports ran a full-time FARC season, it had come oh-so-close to repeating the championship it had won in 2014 with team owner Ryan Matthews behind the wheel. In the intervening time, however, the Matthews bunch changed focus, preferring to build its international presence in Dash Cup. Now, however, that focus is returning stateside.
The team announced it has submitted an entry into this year's Oktoberfest Nationals (which as of writing has not yet been confirmed), with the intention of returning to full-time competition in 2019. While it hasn't said whether or not it would aim for the Lowe Dollar Series team roster, indications are that, if approved, that would be where they end up.

DVR to run part time in FARC for 2019 with Thomas as the driver
Daniel Voyles announced today that Annie Thomas will run a limited schedule for Daniel Voyles Racing in the FARC Lowe Dollar Series in 2019. Thomas will run the 182 Lenard the same car she DNQ for Rockford back in 2017 and hopes to regain respect for her competitors. “I know that I didn’t make too many friends in the qualifiers but at the same thing getting a handle on these cars won’t be easy” she said. “It’s should be a good learning curve to apply into the Lenard for next season and hope a sponsor can come our way very soon.”

Re: 2019 FARC Silly Season Thread
Team Timothy Expanding to TM Master Cup, FARC
The 2019 season is expected to be a big one for the Canadian owned Team Timothy. Dan Timothy, the eponymous owner of the team, has been one of only two teams confirmed to be participating in the Independent's Trophy in 2019. Timothy, who runs one of the largest driver development teams in TM Lights, has been one of the most effective driver development outfits of this decade, and has been eager to get some of his drivers more runs in TM Master Cup series machinery.
"I think we've done a really good job getting guys ready for the higher levels. Cameron Taylor went through our program and he was a different driver when he was finished. He was a scrub, and now he's the only person at [Lenard International] that hasn't caused stupid drama this year and a solid top 5 threat. " Timothy claimed, during a visit to the Federeated Auto Racing Championships event at the River Spirit Expo Center.
"A lot of that is also on him, but do you really think Luciano [Soveral] would be this upset about Cameron doing better than he is, if we didn't give him the tools he needed to mature as a driver? Sure, he was already really mature as a man, but he's not the same driver Dan Mullen blasted for being way too lucky and not that talented. I take great pride in helping to make [Dan] Mullen eat humble pie, people need to do that more often."
Another area where Team Timothy is planning to expand is to the Federeated Auto Racing Championships, a series where Dan Timothy has insisted contains some undeveloped talent.
"We'll get a FARC team together for 2019 if we can. We might miss some of the early season races if we can't get a sponsor locked down, but we want to run a good outfit to help develop mechanics and drivers. Maybe we'll run two cars but not for every race, that'd be too much for a new team." Timothy proclaimed.
"People think Chris Johaanes is the best this series has provided in the past 20 years, and, well, he just made the ivory tower people look stupid in Argentina. In the past 35 years, 15 TM Master Cup champions have had a crew chief that also was a crew chief here or in ARLA. There's talent here."
Timothy would, in all likelihood, campaign with his familiar number 68, as he did for most of his driving career in the TM Master Cup series and TM Lights. While his intent appears to be to run with rookie drivers, he isn't opposed to a more seasoned veteran driver to help his team get off the ground.
Team Timothy's 2018 TM Lights campaign has seen highs and lows, but they are the only team to interrupt the domination of DeGarmo Enterprises this season.

Team Timothy's 2018 TM Lights campaign has seen highs and lows, but they are the only team to interrupt the domination of DeGarmo Enterprises this season.

Ashcroft Family Racing looking towards expansion for 2019
Despite a season of successive ups and downs, northeastern-based Ashcroft Family Racing is looking towards a substantial expansion for the 2019 season of FARC Lowe Dollar Racing Series. Plans for expansion include at least three cars attempting events, with a broad selection of drivers in those cars.
The team's titular #909 car will suffer a driver change, with Donnie Ashcroft moving to part-time role as his brother Patrick takes over the team's lone full-time entry. Donnie will be one of the 4 drivers in the #919 entry, as he, his father Jack, Rhode Island's Connie Brooks and Florida's Kenny George will run multiple events through the season.
The third entry will be reserved for Julia Ashcroft and Kelly Ashcroft, daughters of Thomas Ashcroft, one of the co-owners, both currently contest the AmeriCar Championship Road Racing Series and are expected to do multiple appearances in the #929 car.
A possible fourth entry for a couple of events with former FARC, Dash Cup, TM Lights and TM Master Cup race winner Gabriel Macena has been mentioned in talks, though a number hasn't come up, it is expected Macena brings over at least one of his Dash Cup team's sponsors over for those appearances. Macena is married to Julia Ashcroft, and both Macena and Thomas Ashcroft have worked together during their early outings in FARC.
Trueman Ellison's fate unknown
With the possibility he might be Master Cup bound, Trueman Ellison has been consistently bombarded about multiple internet rumours surrounding his future and the future of his team in FARC. When questioned once again about it, Ellison proceeded to grab a laptop and throw it to the ground screaming "STOP USING COMPUTER GO OUTSIDE IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!".
His close associate, Mark (no surname), said Ellison isn't willing to comment at the matters at the moment as he is analyzing multiple proposals, ranging from Master Cup to ASCC and he will give a statement when needs be.
When questioned about rumours he would be possibly driving a car entered by Ellison in 2019, should Trueman leave FARC for greener pastures, Mark simply answered "meh".

Big Mac Racing Plans Return to FARC Next Year
Big Mac Racing plans to return to FARC with a another full time or almost full time schedule with one car and a part time schedule for another. It is thought Meghan Gallagher will return to the team in some form, but Monica Rook’s future is unknown at the moment. Rook brings her own sponsor and has been inconsistently successful in the league. Her behavior on track this year has been questionable and her Twitter use has come under criticism. Depending on performance the rest of the year and other factors, It is not sure whether Rook will be re-signed. Rook has been surprisingly quiet on the issue but hopes to be in a series, her long-shot goal of TMMC, or FARC next year. Former FARC driver Makoto Yamada’s name has been brought up quietly, but Yamada’s 2018 plans remain a mystery.

Ruiz Bros set to return next season, possible 2nd car?
After a large ups and downs between the two, Xavier and Timothy Ruiz are set to return next season. Xavier will get most of his funding from Timothy as a "tryout" on a possible merger of the two, but will still be independent for next season. Reality Network will depart the team after the 2018 season. The 2019 season is basically Xavier's last chance before he'll have to sit out for a while. For Timothy, Polito's have agreed to extend their contract through the 2023 season, using their sponsorship option as Timothy is pretty much their guy. With sponsorship secured, Timothy did hint that if Xavier does find sponsorship and is sustainable, he might still form a second car. We do not know what sponsorship he has lineup but considering there are several drivers that are wanting a chance in FARC Lowe Dollar Series, Timothy might be interest on some of them. For now, Timothy and Xavier mainly focus on their cars and see to go from there.
New Team in the horizon
While the Ruiz Bros have all but set their plans, a new team is rumored to be starting up. Jack DeSuarez, a middle age Mexican-American from Ohio, is planning to open a team called Renegate Racing. While he has said that sponsorship and number is pending, he has his driver that he plans on using, Grant Evan Masterson, a 18 yr old driver (17 now, will be 18 around the start of the 2019 season) that is looking for a ride. DeSuarez said that quote "This team will be a smash hit, it will be one of, if not, THE best start up teams in history." He even claimed that by the end of year 5, they will have won their first title. This is a real bold claim that could backfire massively. A lot of people have their doubts but we can follow more of the story as the season goes on.

F&S and Dilpare merge to become FSD Group
In a press conference prior to the race at Tulsa, Marcus Freya has announced that they will merge their operations with Dilpare Inc. The team had undergone a rather lackluster season with Dan Meyato being arrested some time after 70/77, Archer Helms being a crash magnet in the Lowe Dollar Series campaign and Garret Brunswick has been midfield at best when he qualifies for a race.
Dilpare Inc., owned by former TM Master Cup series driver Armand Dilpare has enjoyed moderate success with Dilpare and Canadian driver Phyllis Theodor posting respectable runs including a win at Rockford with Theodor.
Very little was talked about regarding the team's plans for 2019 outside of Archer Helms running their flagship 74 Inglesby with Delaparts Performance backing Helms as well as a second consisting on rotation of drivers including Brunswick, Theodor and Brandon Wood.

Roy to Run Super Series
A month after the announcement he will run with SWH Racing on a partial schedule, Rich Roy has announce in an interview at his company, Roy INC., he will be running the full schedule in the Super Series. Roy has said nothing about the team or sponsor, however the sponsor is pretty obvious knowing that Roy owns Roy INC.

Roy said while running in race at Williams Grove that SWH Racing for the Super Series. This announcement puts down the rumor that Roy will field his own car. Roy INC is, obviously, his sponsor.

Re: 2019 FARC Silly Season Thread
There has been word of 3 new teams forming up in preparation for the 2019 FARC season, and expansion of an existing one.
The first team confirmed is the #07 team of Peirce Motorsports. Owned by short track racer, motor, body, and chassis builder Bob Peirce, well revered for his support of the short track modified scene, Peirce plans to run 5 races during the FARC LDS championship. The drivers for this team is Modified Stalwart John Hester, who brings Ayotto Japanese Cuisine(pretty much a Toyota anagram using an upside down Toyota logo) and Chris Valleley, who will be sponsored out of pocket by Bob Peirce's own company Peirce Performance Engineering. The team plans 5 races, with Hester getting 3 races and Valleley getting 2, with hopes of going full time in 2020.
The next team is Overdrive-Harper Motorsports owned by Bryce Harper and 27 year old Max Overdrive. The team from Huntsville Alabama will run the Lacko Brakes Sweepstakes at Talladega, and the Smash Beer Oktoberfest Nationals, running a ride out of their small shop. The team will also run the full Larry Lemon Super Series, running #999 in the Super Series and the Lowe Dollar Series, with sponsorship from German clothing brand Nein Republic, which has been rumored to be run by Neo Nazis.
Also RFR makes the announcement of a second car for the 2019 season. The car, #61 will be run with a driver yet to be determined. Offers are open to any veteran driver with sponsor backing. Ryan Forest will still run the 60, while Dom Forest will run the Super Series as he has been doing.
Finally, another new FARC team has formed, running on hopes, dreams, and a jackpot powerball lotto ticket. This new team is owned by Rodney Gambler will run 3 cars, the 78 of Rollin Dyce, 87 Johnny "Black" Jack, road racer Marcos Course, and Sam O'Nella, and 59 of Harry "Hold-Em" Harrison, Kyle Ogre, and Trent Flipp. None of the cars have sponsorship, the drivers vary from poor, to reckless, and the team uses 10 year old chassis held together with duct tape and hope, so do not expect much from them.

Long Wants to Return Full-Time in 2019
With a quiet, but consistent rookie season, Tony Long announced today that he wants to return to FARC competition for 2019.
"I have had a great time running with SWH this season" Long said. "Even though we have had some putrid luck this year, we have still been able to pull together some great performances. I am really looking forward to driving in FARC again next year and want to stay for the long-term."
Tony has finished in the top 15 twice this season, at Albuquerque and at his dirt-track debut at Tulsa.
"Tulsa was a great race weekend" Long said. "I have never competed on dirt before and I was able to qualify, hold on to transfer to the final stage, kept the car clean, and was able to get a nice finish as a reward. That was easily the most fun I have had in a car in quite a while."
"If their is a race to show what I have, it will be Talladega" Long continued. "Tracks like Talladega are where I feel my strength is and I want to put on a great show for SWH and come away with a great result for us."

Accelerator Motorsports to return!
The team announced that Zack Webster, who is currently their full time driver, was planning to pursue a full time career in the TM Master Cup in 2019. They went on to state that their long time driver Kelly Splison would be replacing Webster as their primary driver. She would retain her Sticky Hooves Glue Sponsorship and likely would gain the number 41 as a result of her moving up. The team was also happy to announce that Mary Jane Bakerman or MJ, from Colorado, would be joining the team as their second driver. She'll be sponsored by Get Baked! Cakes and Confectioneries. The team plans to have her use 96. However, there is a Illinois based trucking firm ready in the wings to sponsor the team just in case things fall flat with her family business.

Noah Dalitz Re-Signs with M&J Racing
Despite the noticeable struggles of M&J Racing during this year's FARC Lowe Dollar Series season, the sole remaining team from FARC's formation announced ahead of the race at Cicero, Illinois' Chicago Motor Speedway that 18 year-old rookie Noah Dalitz will return to the #63 car for 2019, along with a healthy lineup of sponsorship partners.
"I'm glad I'm getting to try again with M&J Racing next year." Said Dalitz, "We've had a lot going on that's prevented me from getting the most out of my equipment, but I'm sure we'll get it together and win some races."
"There's no denying we've let the competition slip ahead of us this year," said Kevin Monroe, the 2010 FARC Lowe Dollar Series champion and former driver of M&J's #63 car, "but we know Noah's giving it his all every week, and our partners are happy with him, so we're looking forward to building on what we have with him in 2019."
Along with the return of longtime M&J Racing partner Zing Energy, e-cigarette brand Lung Candy and the popular online racing simulation RaceSim will adorn Noah Dalitz's machine in select races during the 2019 season.
Heading into the Cicero race, Dalitz has qualified for every race, and sits 25th in points with two top-15 finishes. Details on M&J Racing's other FARC Lowe Dollar Series teams remain unknown at this time.
Paul Sweeney Leaving Pearson-Sweeney Motorsports
In the aftermath of Harry S. Enola's victory at Talladega Superspeedway, Paul Sweeney, two-time FARC Lowe Dollar Series champion and current co-owner of PSM alongside his former archrival Andy Pearson, announced that he would leave his position at the team and greatly reduce his involvement in FARC racing at the end of the 2018 season.
Sweeney had been a fixture on the FARC tour since 1975, when he became the first British driver to compete in a FARC race. He carried the number 8 back then, and has been the only car owner to field the 8 in the FARC Lowe Dollar Series to this day.
“I cannot properly express how thrilled I am to have been a part of this big family we call FARC for these past forty years." Sweeney wrote on the team's social media accounts, "Andy [Pearson] and I may have had our differences in the beginning, but he has been like a brother to me in our partnership, and I will greatly miss my time in his shop....Let it be known that I am not leaving the sport completely...I will still participate in FARC whenever I can during my upcoming endeavors."
Sweeney’s departure comes with the expectation of a new partnership with Paul Knight’s No Quarter Racing, the Hanmore AmeriCar team that Sweeney’s son Lucas currently drives full-time for. The idea of Paul Sweeney pursuing road racing is not surprising to those close to him, as the Sweeney family has an extensive background in European club racing from before Paul moved to the United States and took up stock car racing in the early 1970s.
Andy Pearson has yet to announce his plans for PSR after Sweeney departs.

Tony Long to Resign with SWH
Tony Long and SWH Racing have come to an agreement for Long to return to the team in 2019. This agreement was put in place before the race at Talladega but did not affect Long or the team's decision.
"Yes, Talladega was not a great weekend for us but we can't do much now" Long said. "I think everyone knows the we are struggling this season but their is room for improvement on everyone's part."
Long will return to the team and will run the full 2019 season due to extenuating circumstances that have opened his schedule. Long is running the best of 10 and is in the top 30 in points.
"We have showed some signs of life" Long said. "We were on pace for a top 10 at Karl's and have had a couple of top 15s this year even though we have struggled. I am staying committed to them and I know we will be better in 2019. I have loved the guys and gals at SWH and I am excited that we are staying together for the future."

Renegate Racing announces sponsorship, numbers planned but not revealed
After announcing his driver few weeks back, Jack DeSuarez have announced he has acquired two sponsorship, the first being the fish supermarket Seaside Market and the other being internet provider Visionet. Both will split whatever schedule they will be dealt with. They hope for the full time ride. DeSuarez is happy with the acquisition of the sponsorship, saying quote "It will make our team more valuable and will not disappoint them." There were tons of rumors that Reality Network might jump on board but those rumors were shot down after Reality Network made a public statement that they will take next season off to re-evaluate if they want to return to FARC at all. As for Seaside Market and Visionet, both are rumored to have a 4 year guarantee contract with a 1 year option to either opt out or in depending on the performance. There are said to be no buyout clause. As for the numbers, he has said he has several numbers in mind but didn't reveal it. He plans on applying the number when the time is right. All we can do is wait for the final piece. He would also mention it will be a Saar car. Grant Masterson will be set to drive the Seaside Market/Visionet Saar next season. DeSuarez would reiterate his bold 5 year claim. Time will tell if he's right or talking out of his rear.

Ivan Barnes to run more races?
Ivan Barnes III a Late Model racer at LaCrosse and son of Barnes Super Shops CEO Ivan Barnes Jr could be headed to FARC Racing more than a one off. Barnes who before the Oktoberfest race made some headlines by saying he wanted to run FARC since "It was so easy even one of Karl Hampton's family members could do it." Of course this was said tounge in cheek as Barnes has go kat expirience and two years of Late Models experience at LaCrosse where despite having the finest equipment he could only muster a 7th and 9th place in track points. The comments were directed at Karl Hampton IV as Barnes family owns Barnes Group and the Barnes Super Shops chain of big box stores, a more regionalized rival to the Hampton family's Karl's Super Stores.

House of Kards: Jacob Kard OUT Due To Sponsorship Woes
In an impromptu press conference today at the Team Thunder Racing Facility in Cleveland, Ohio it was announced that Jacob Kard will no longer be the full-time driver of the team's second car, No. 77. The following is a portion of that press conference.
"When Kard was announced as the full-time driver of the No. 77 car earlier this year, he had given us the impression that he had a full season's worth of sponsorship backing him," stated Team Principal Michael Rutana. "We took it at face value, and went through with the announcement. Unfortunately, we received word the other day that he only had a quarter of the season committed, and the other sponsors he claimed were committed to backing him were beginning to get cold feet. For us to embarrass ourselves by even having this press conference, to retract an announcement of that magnitude, is unfortunate. It pains me to say that Jacob Kard will not be a member of the Team Thunder lineup in 2019. Our plan for next season is to field two full-time drivers in FARC, and for us to fall short of that simple goal is unacceptable. Fortunately, we have already begun talks with another driver to take over the seat, and hope to update everyone on that when we reach a deal. Thank you."

PSA Reports that Skeeter Farnsworth is "On Their Radar" for 2019
Power Surge America owner Sergio Power was overheard to say the Skeeter Farnsworth phenomenon had piqued his curiosity and that he was now "on their radar as someone of interest." In what capacity is still to be determined. Current driver and 2-time ARLA/FARC champion Rip Tyler has been rumored for the PSI third driver part-time position and possibly more if Kurt Plissken departs the squad. However, PSI has met with several candidates to fill the spot vacated by Zack Webster. There is some speculation that Jim Kidd may drop down into the Larry Lemon Series to once again be teamed with Billy Bob Childers. But speculation is all that it is at this juncture.
For his part, Farnsworth says he's surprised and flattered by all the attention he's garnered because of the buzz surrounding him and his Smash Beer Oktoberfest Nationals quest. Farnworth has been running his small team, Fly Wheel Project, basically on a shoestring budget but has been able to make it into the higher profile feature events the past couple of seasons. PSA has apparently taken notice. "Well shoot! It shore is nice of 'em to take notice 'n' all, Farnsworth stated. "I'm just a poor good ol' country boy from Bug Tussle, Missouri 'n' I'm right proud they'd even be thinkin' about me joinin' their outfit. It's prolly the biggest news from those parts a goin' right now!"

Griswald signs development deal with DHRE
Even though he failed to make it to the quarterfinals, Shaun Griswald has signed a deal to drive the #66 Larry Lemon car for David Hetzel Racing Enterprises. Griswald has huge shoes to take over as he will replace the QF 1 winner Whitley, whose heading back to the UK to be closer to family and race in the BTC. Poeple have been saying it was already a pre-ordained thing that Griswald and teammate Ennisburg would sign DHRE development contracts, but if the rumors are true about Ennisburg giving up despite suffering minor damage on a lap 3 crash then it could be that the deal was revoked by DHRE.
Lowell Beaver to announce truck plans
Lowell Beaver has announced that he will again enter a two Truck team in the FARC trucks this season, but he will also be entering a third part time truck for himself as he is focusing more and more on ownership duties rather than racing. Tommy Winavich, the runner-up for super late models at LaCrosse. Winavich was one of local drivers who raced LaCrosse for the Oktoberfest and is reportedly bringing a new sponsor to the table with not only his personal sponsor Rosemary and Sage's Herb Shoppe but a new sponsor in the Harry Glove Company. Buddy MacInnes will once again drive the #50 truck while reports say that at the behest of the Harry Glove Company the truck will be renumbered 33. The #10 will likely end up running part time.

Master Sport Racing returning; possible full-time effort?
Recently, Alexa Lake, who co-owns Master Sport Racing has considered what the team will do for the next season ongoing. Jon Dilks has done alright in the few starts he has made, but Alexa Lake seems confident in hiring him to go back into the #26 car for a shared seating arrangement between himself, Nicholas Radcliff (two races), and possibly other candidates.
With this coming back, except for a one-off campaign, there won't be any #53 or part-time car from Master Sport Racing.
Alexa Lake despised how the Kanako machinery ran, and has gone in contact with Saar. Saar will be the new manufacturer for the Master Sport Racing craft. With the #26 car and the possible drivers, RS Haul, Binco and whatever Jon Dilks wants will sponsor the car per driver.
Alexa Lake goes down to Super Series?
In a surprising turn of events, Alexa Lake, who, was unsure that she would return to FARC for 2019, has stated to the press that "I'm unsure how this will all pan out, but I am going to be moving myself down to the Super Series for a season or two, alongside my good pal Wes Maret to help develop this team, and help develop my own skills before I decide to take the wheel of a car in the primary tier of FARC.
Davis Herrington will not return, and so the #54 will change to the #26 which will additionally be sponsored by Binco, and as well, Can-Sway.
Wes Maret also will have a slight change in sponsor; Strickland Propane will stay on the car, but Margie's Truck Stop will be the main sponsor. One scheme, two sponsors. They will also change to Saar.
-----
We here at Master Sport Racing very much look forward to the years ahead on this new light from the outpouring support as we almost lost all we had worked towards. Thank you to the friends and family who saved our team ~ this is for you.

Re: 2019 FARC Silly Season Thread
Meghan Gallagher to Go Full Time with Big Mac Racing; Monica Rook to depart the team?
It doesn't really need to be said that Meghan Gallagher has exceeded expectations in her few races this year. This mounts an unlikely comeback after serious injuries a few years earlier in this series and in Formula Overdrive a few years ago. Meghan Gallagher won won the second to last race of the year and finished 2nd in the one of the quarterfinals for the finale. Meghan says, "I'm feeling healthier and better than ever. I think I'm ready to even more races next year. I love this series!". Thomas Mac, the owner of Big Mac Racing, reportedly feels very positively about Meghan's performance this year. While Monica Rook finished the year strong, with a second place finish behind Gallagher, this year was definitely a step back for the multi-race winner. Not only was her performance inconsistent, but she did not better her relationship with the officials when she parked her car in the middle of the track one round. There is apparently growing friction between Rook and her crew, not a recipe for success. Rook carries sponsorship from her father's company, Rook Construction. and she will carry it to any other team or series if her contract is not renewed. Gallagher, due to her performance, is supposedly in talks to bring the Midwest Bandage Company on her car full time next year if given the opportunity at Big Mac Racing.
Big Mac Racing still holds the plan to run a full time entry (or mostly full time) and a part-time entry, just like the last couple years. Former FARC race winner, Makoto Yamada, is a rumored candidate for the part-time seat. He is competing in another series currently.

With the edition of young drivers Michaela Perry Jones, Joshua Pacer, and Grant Carsons, the team has gone through a rapid growth period in terms of performance, with Jones and Pacer both scoring victories for the team. Their allied team, Focus Autosports, has also been very competitive this season, with Riley Durbin and the 38 team scoring multiple victories and showing more speed than in previous seasons as well.
Going into 2019, DSR has expressed interest in re-signing all current drivers and sponsors, as well as retaining their alliance with Focus Autosports. Team owner Ike Durbin has also hinted at the possibility of running in select events himself in 2019, should his schedule allow it.

Jonesport Will Not Be Racing in 2019
John Jones made official earlier today a rumor that his race-winning FARC Lowe Dollar Series team Jonesport will not be competing for the 2019 edition of the FARC Lowe Dollar Series championship, although there remains a possibility of a return as early as 2020.
Jones explained that he had every intention to bring his team back to the track for 2019, but that necessary funding could not be acquired in time to prepare for the new season. In spite of regularly running up front and even scoring a victory in the fourth of the quarterfinal races at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway last year, the budget on which the team operated in 2018 was barely enough to make it through their schedule.
Fastrac Railways, which has served as the primary sponsor for Jonesport's car #88 since its first LDS outing in 2015, was unable to increase its commitment to the team over the off-season, and the team has to this point failed in its efforts to acquire additional sponsorship. Fastrac, however, will continue to affiliate themselves with longtime Jonesport driver Joshua Pacer, who may be bringing the railway's branding with him back to the DurbinSport, Ltd. team for a small number of races, a team for which he also won a race last year.
Jones stressed that his team will not be closing its doors, and that they will attempt to prepare an entry for the 2020 season.

Master Sport Racing shuts down 2019 operations
Alexa Lake, who has spent years in FARC developing Master Sport Racing has decided to disband the funding for the 2019 campaign as she has so much to focus on, and can't 110% commit herself to racing, or rather, running a team while pregnant.
Lake, who is a few weeks shy of having a child, says "I'm not going to close Master Sport Racing--That's not what I'm doing. It is more along the lines of taking a season off and rebuilding, or regrouping so when,
in the future, once I feel we are back on track...funds wise, we'll return. Looking at possibly returning PT in 2020 with the 26, but not sure."
--"I just want to focus on garnering funds and taking care of Avonlea, who should be visiting soon."
Richard Kelly Enterprises seeks PT entry
Richard Kelly, long time racing car driver in various lower leagues has finally set his eyes on a broader campaign, being, FARC Lowe Dollar. His 'Lowe Dollar' budget and sight on money sees his machinery often run towards the back of the grid, but can also be very reliable and often aggressively forward in the pack.
Kelly, who has been racing for 35 years started a team in 1995, and it has grown and strengthened since, sporting many drivers and legends as their own.
21 year old, Johnson Kelly, from Kentucky, who is also the nephew of 63 year old Richard Kelly, has been appointed to drive full time, or even part time for RKE.
#43(?) - Johnson Kelly - RS Haul + Ammunation (associate), Citra-Squeeze
If PT, he will race up to 8 races, but if FT is a go, he'll happily split his car with himself and Ricky Kelly. Ricky Kelly is the son of Richard Kelly and is 45.

Dynasty Motorsports Taking a Break
With the loss of 2018 sponsor Borg Robotics and no other major sources of funding on the horizon, Dynasty Motorsports team owner Neil White has abruptly decided to cancel all current activities for the #79 team.
"With the way things were looking, there just wasn't enough funding out there to put together a reasonable schedule. We hope to be back on the track soon... but for now, we don't have anything on the calendar for 2019," White said.
When asked about the status of his son, Silas, who was driving for the team, Neil shrugged. "He can do whatever he wants to do. But we can't race without money."
The team had a surprisingly solid debut at Elko Speedway in 2017 and went on to qualify for the prestigious Rockford 200 that year, landing them a sponsor for the 2018 season. However, they have seen little success since.

Carolina Team Confirmed for Partial 2019 Schedule
The Concord Carolina Team, a new team, has been confirmed for a partial schedule during the 2019 Farc Lowe Dollar Series season. Rookies Lukas Fabian, and Lawrence Allen will both run a few races in the 2019 season. Lukas Fabian is a proven winner in the Carolina short track scene, and has some road course experience in Germany. Lawrence Allen never won any feature races in the Carolinas, but he brings the money from his dad's pawnshop to his grandfathers team.
The only two races that the team has confirmed they will attempt is the season opener at San Antonio, and the Oktoberfest National's. While the rest of the schedule isn't confirmed, it is unlikely that the team will attempt any races west of the Mississippi river.
@DAllenBoss: "I am very excited to finally give Lukas and my grandson the chance to make a name for themselves. Those two boys have been inseparable for years now, and I hope they make each other better. Lukas is a great kid, and his ability to make the most of a bad car is unlike incredible. The kid also has a knack for road course racing. He picked it up while visitn' his family in Europe. Lawrence never got that win, but he is just as vital to the team as Lukas. We plan on showin' up and getting ready for bigger things in the future."
@SuperstarAllen: "Aww yeah, finally gettin' my chance in the big leagues. Look out FARC world, Lawrence Allen is comin' to town."
@DuetscheFabian: "Wow, I never thought I would make it here. I know that I have won on short tracks back in Carolina before, but this is a whole new level. I love @SuperstarAllen like a brother, but I don't think he knows how stiff competition is, especially for a first year team. Last time I went to Germany to visit my family, I got to run several races around the country, and I hope that road course experience helps. I am thankful to @DAllenBoss for the opportunity, and to my sponsor, Fayetteville Florescent Paints for their support to this point. Hopefully my first race is the first of many"
After several years racing on the short tracks in the Carolinas, Lukas Fabian and Lawrence Allen have teamed up to split a small handful of races in the 2019 Lowe Dollar Series. The team is likely to show up to San Antonio and the Oktoberfest Nationals, however, the rest of their planned races remain uncertain. Team Owner Dominic Allen remarked "we will only show up to a handful of races on the eastern side of the United States. I hope that Lukas and my grandson can provide the team with a base to run a more complete schedule in 2020". Not only is Lawrence Allen the grandson of Dominic Allen, but Lukas Fabian is a close friend of the Allen family.
Lukas Fabian
The 19 year old from South Carolina has developed quite the reputation on the local short track scene. Fabian has a handful of feature wins in weekly races in the Carolinas, and hopes that he can use those short track skills in the Lowe Dollar Series. However, Fabian has shown quite the road racing ability. Both of Fabian's parents were born in Germany, which gave Fabian the chance to run minor road courses races in Germany. Last year, Fabian ran a few one off races on German road courses, despite never winning, Fabian was a consistent top 10 threat. Fabian never won a championship in the minor leagues in the Carolinas, but he has come close the past two seasons.
Lawrence Allen
17 year old Lawrence Allen, grandson of team owner Dominic Allen, is also likely to run a handful of races in the 2019 season. Allen is a homegrown Carolina driver. Also, the pawnshop chain the the Lawrence's father family owns means that Lawrence is bringing most of the sponsorship dollars to his grandfather's team. However, unlike Fabian, Allen has never won a feature race in his entire minor league series career. Also, unlike Fabian, Lawrence Allen has virtually no road course experience.

Re: 2019 FARC Silly Season Thread
Timothy Ruiz to pull double duty
In recent weeks, there was rumors that Timothy Ruiz have been pegged to drive in the TM Master Cup in 2019 and it was recently confirmed. Timothy Ruiz, driver and co-owner for the Ruiz-Paul Motorsport, is going to attempt a double duty season, running full time in the #33 Hasbert Racing car while still running in the 212 Polito's Lenard. For Timothy Ruiz, this will be a challenge to run both series at the same time but it also look like he's up for it. We do not know what he might need to do if he is too busy to make it to the FARC race but he might have Xavier on standby to step in when Timothy is unavailable. We can only wait and see. For this year, Timothy is going to be very busy. We failed to get a comment from Timothy but did leave us a message "I will only say this...Whatever happens happened." That's all we got. Timothy and Xavier are fairly set for next season.

Chester Motorsports to Race Partial Schedule in 2019
FARC Lowe Dollar Series will see a pair of new faces in 2019. Chester Motorsports will compete part-time in 2019 with their driver Michael Chester behind the wheel.

As expected, Chester's Family Market will serve as the primary sponsor for Michael Chester. They will also use No. 96 in the series. Their race schedule is not yet announced, although it is expected to be mainly races that are in New Mexico. More sponsors and manufacturer are yet to be announced.

Todd Abedrabbo Motorsports makes leap into FARC for 2019
Todd Abedrabbo Motorsports, a brand new team that has become a fixture in the northeastern short track racing scene, will be making the leap into FARC competition as well as in TM competition for the upcoming 2019 season.
Todd Abedrabbo, who has won multiple track championships in the last two years and has been widely seen as one of the sport's future superstars, will contest the entire FARC Lowe Dollar Series schedule, driving the 9 Crash Dew/FatBurgerKid Saar and will contend for the series Rookie of the Year award. He will also run a limited schedule with the same team in the FARC Super Series in select races. His ultimate dream is to compete in the TM Master Cup Series by 2021 or 2022 and is exploring an Independent's Trophy bid in that series for 2019, mostly likely driving the 24 Mountain Dew/Gatorade Saar in that series, and has been widely compared to the likes of Benny Dwyer and Leonid Roderick for his driving ability. Abedrabbo is also a former high school football and lacrosse player, and is an amateur competitive eater during his time away from the track.
Abedrabbo will also bring longtime school friend and former amateur hockey player Andrew Ziegler up to FARC as well, driving the 98 John Madden's Quickpop Popcorn Popper Saar in the FARC Super Series in 2019 while running select races in the FARC Lowe Dollar Series and the TM Lights series in the 98 car (with the same sponsor). Ziegler is the defending late model track champion at the Syracuse Raceway and Abedrabbo has also been looking at bringing him to the TM Master Cup Series full time by 2021 or 2022 as well.

Judson Tate walking away from FARC Trucks after one season
Judson Tate, who won his first and only FARC race last year at Bent Twig, publicly declared Friday that his 2018 bid for the Truck title was "likely the only one [he] will ever make".
In a statement to the media, Tate thanked Matusek for helping to fund his 2018 operation. "I owe it to everyone who put their faith in me last season to make it count. I always thought it would be pretty cool to win a FARC race. Last year I did that, and I'm proud of it. I'm probably gonna take a long break before I attempt anything racing-related again though... and it definitely won't be in FARC Trucks."
Despite the humility in his comments, winning in FARC is a relatively minor feat for Tate. He is known for his ever-growing list of impressive achievements, such as climbing Mount Everest, learning to play the theremin, and riding across Australia on a kangaroo. He was also in attendance when the Chicago Cubs won the 2016 World Series.
Tate has stated that his current focus is on becoming a successful entrepreneur.

Leckliter Racing planning on running a car for 2019
Leckliter Racing is planning on still running FARC in 2019. The 10 car's seat has been vacant with team owner Daniel Leckliter going full time in the TM Master cup series.
Leckliter announced that he has signed former FARC driver Ryan Barrett to drive the 10 car for 2019. Barrett, who is now 19, was more known for getting a ride using his mother's credit card and because of his accomplishments in RaceSim's D Class Legends, now has taken a more serious approach to racing after his departure in 2015 and has some decent results in late models and his occasional road race.
Leckliter also announced that he will still drive in FARC when he isn't racing in the TM Master Cup series. Number for him is unknown but both cars will have Binford Sponsorship.

Timothy Ruiz scales back schedule, Xavier to drive the 212
As some of readers know that Timothy Ruiz had been called up to drive full time in the TM Master Cup. As a result, question did swirl about both Xavier and Timothy's position. Today, the news is surprising, Xavier will drive most of the races in the 212 while Timothy will mainly run in the TM Master Cup with a race or a few in the FARC series. When asked why, Timothy said "Scheduling conflicts with our intention and Polito's want to support the team and not just the driver." Xavier was also mention as a blessing moment and hoping to right the wrong after the Xavier v Reality Network debacle. Hopefully Xavier doesn't suck more, otherwise, the only other way to make money from Polito's is to be their delivery driver.
