You have to start in the "lower" no name series before moving up the charts.

You should start off in a league like Street Stocks or the NRC. They're a good place to start off and it'll help your driver get noticed by higher up teams.

Not necessarily. It's just recommended that you start in the lower tiers.

The lower tiers don't mean anything to me as far as creating the roster. I just pick people at my own discretion.

(Had a paragraph typed out, but it logged me out when I went to post it, so here's the tl;dr version)
Casey Lester: My entry in the LoBo Trucks is subject to change as I would really like to reunite with Gravity Racing Inc. and their development program. There are a million reasons why I didn't get accepted into TM Lights and I don't really blame them. I wasn't nearly ready to move up to that level yet, but I think that this year will definitely prepare me for getting a shot at glory in the higher series. I like the way that team's run and they'd give any driver in the world a fair shot. If nothing changes, it's totally the end of my career. As long as I'm racing somewhere, I'm happy.

Armchair Press: Outlook for FARC Trucks not good
Citing poor management during the precious season, the writers at online sports journal Armchair Press predict that the FARC LoBo Truck Tour will struggle to have teams commit to running the whole season in 2014.
"[Former series director Eric Derenberger] had no idea what he was doing," wrote AP motorsports columnist Sheldon Stanley, "so of course you have that distrust that's keeping people from saying they're going for the title....I think what we're going to see is five, maybe six cars showing up for every race."
Indeed, very few teams have announced an intention to compete for the Truck title, although Autosport Fernando's Chicken and Allie's Super Sports are amongst the teams that have committed to the full season, with Jesus Ignacio Chavez III and Stacie St. Martin, respectively.

Nitro Racing to continue FARC efforts in 2014
After having decent debut seasons, Tommy Ashby has announced he intends to keep both his truck and Elite Series teams going. Ashby intends on staying in the 82 truck and is hoping to get a full-time season with Hazel May Frattin in 2014. Frattin has performed with decent results in her races and has gotten several top 15 finishes in her races. Ashby says the sponsors have announced no intention of leaving either team.

DERENBERGER FIRES BACK AT SHELDON STANLEY
After the criticism leveled at new NPCC director Eric Derenberger over the management of the FARC Lobo Truck Tour in 2013, Derenberger fired back at the so-called columnist with a barrage of his own.
DERENBERGER: This is just typical BS the media likes to put out. The 2013 was one of the cleanest truck seasons in recent memory, and yes, The Memorial had some problems at the start, but they ironed themselves out and it turned out to be a good race. What Sheldon Stanley needs to look at is the FARC executives and how they're going about the 2014 season, because from my point of view, FARC is trying shut out the majority of the top tier teams in favor of teams that have no business running every week. I tried to get a high profile event at Long Beach as a support event for V8 Champ Car, and the FARC executives f**ked things up, so if you want someone to blame, look no further than FARC itself, because the kind of BS they're pandering is the reason why I left in the first place. I think Mr. Stanley needs to do better research before launching dumbass accusations.

John Pagen to Join Trucks Next Season
CRL driver John Pagen has announced his intentions to run the full schedule in the FARC's trucks division. With backing from Blunt Instrument and the FatFinger Brokerage firm, he intends to make what he describes as a serious run at the title. He is searching for funds for a second car, possibly driven by 2013 truck series part timer Joseph Austin.

RUMOR: Macena Motorsports changing manufacturer and engine before the season start?

" The team wants to grow bigger in America and they felt that Saar could bring more sponsorship and draw more attention over the cars " - said the story at Bandeira Branca

CONFIRMATION: Macena Motorsports to use Saar in the Elite Series. Official Statement:
"The Macena Motorsports is glad of receiving the support from Saar and we decided that would be more favorable if we used only Saars, cutting the costs from using two different manufacturers in FARC and NPCC. With this agreement, we'll be cutting our cost in 25% than if we used both Inglesby and Saar on different series, since we're using V6 engines."

(OOC: I'm assuming it's ok since it's on the confirmed part of the team chart in tmpedia, pm me if you're interested in the ride)

GRI LOOKING TO RUN LIGHTENER FOR A FULL-SEASON RUN AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP, TEAM OWNER'S STATUS STILL UP IN THE AIR
It has been confirmed that Rachel Rainsford will return to the 71 machine for Gravity Racing, Inc. for 2014, which certainly should be no surprise to anyone given how she won two races and gave GRI its highest points finish to date, a 3rd, in 2013.
The team is also looking to run Isaac Lightener full-time in the newly numbered 94 ZombieBusters.com machine. Lightener, who spent 2013 running in the FARCE Modifieds and the Ohio Valley Late Model Series, brings his family number into the fold, and says he looks forward to returning to full-time competition after running for the Tornado Alley Trophy for his family team last year.
The only real uncertainty is team owner Packer Carroll's return to the Elite Series. Sources say that it might be full-time, but it all depends on whether or not he's offered a TM Master Cup Series ride.
PACKER: At the moment, it's a part-time gig, but if I don't receive any offers from Master Cup teams, then I'll be returning to the Elite Series on a full-time basis. At the moment, it's all up in the air.

BREAKING NEWS: Frank Azure to drive limited schedule for Tom Delgado Racing
In a shocking announcement that no one saw coming, recently retired driver and FAC Motorsports owner Frank Azure was announced to be the second driver for Tom Delgado Racing's #37 car in the FARC Elite Series for the 2014 season. The deal was reportedly done in secret and states that Azure will drive the remaining races the 37 enters as team owner Tom Delgado is only running races in the Northeast. The team was originally going to be a dual championship effort, but the races scheduled to be run by Azure and Delgado did not meet the minimum 60-40 split between the two drivers. Azure was planning to retire from racing after the 2013 season after finishing ____ in the Independent's Trophy standings in the TM Master Cup Series and finishing ____ in the ASCC.
"I told myself that if it was a good enough offer, I would hold off retiring for another year. TDR is probably the best oppertunity for me to go out there and win races before I hang it up. Me and Tom are very similar when you think about it. We both had to fight tooth and nail to get where we're at and I can respect someone like that. I'm definitely looking forward to working with him this season."
Azure only has one FARC start prior to this season, which was the 2012 Mini Indy 500. He attempted the Rockford 200 in 2013 but did not qualify. Azure did not disclose whether or not he will retire after 2014.

In the FARC Crown Modifieds, the team will be formed by the canadian twins Ashley and Charlotte Elliott, both backed by b, after being asked about the sponsorship for both, Gabriel answered: "The best thing that they could bring here was sponsorship and ability, they had both, that's why I signed with them" - the sponsorship concern was about the age of the drivers, that were unknown until yesterday. Pellerin to Return to the Truck Tour
In 2013, New Brunswick native Luc Pellerin broke on to the ARLA scene in the ARLA Tornado Alley Truck Series. Although he will be moving over to Hanmore Formula Overdrive for 2014, it was announced that he would also return to the newly-named FARC LoBo Truck Tour, as the American team Focus Autosports has hired him to drive their second entry; the #4 Lycoia. The team's #4 chassis was driven in a few events in 2013 by Aubrey Wood, and this year it moves up to part-time status.
Giuseppe Fochesato stated that with his past Truck experience, Pellerin was a good open-candidate for the new entry, and that he could help the team out as its efforts expands for 2014.
The team's full-time Truck Tour driver Vincenzo Fochesato also commented, "Luc was a respectable person to race with last year in ARLA, and I'm sure he would've been more competitive if he had a more powerful truck. I'm excited to race with him as a teammate, and to see what he can do!"
Potential New Entry in the Regional Cup
Curtis Sawyers Racing, a very new team to the above-local tiers of motorsport, is looking to field an entry in the FARC DiEmAr Chassis Regional Cup. Specifically; the Central division.
CSR is already fielding a one-off entry in the Elite Series' upcoming Smash Beer 500 for young Michigan native Nick Van Gilder, who is also driving the team's National Pro Cup Championship entry. While it has been claimed that the team will be unable to field the car without extra funding, a sponsor has yet to be announced. Mary Brissot was announced as the driver of the team's #25 Saar Carolina. Brissot, who, many years ago, raced pro stock drag racing cars and late model stock cars, recently retired, and she looks to return to racing, a hobby that she was never able to grow into a career.
Said team-owner Herbert Sawyers "Our Pro Cup Championship effort will soon be underway, and everything there's going smooth so far. With the types of tracks and cars that the Regional Cup uses, we're thinking we can put what we know to good use, especially if the series comes here to Terre Haute."
Sawyers was then asked why the team had hired Brissot as the driver, to which he responded "We may have to work a little to find a sponsor, but I'm not fielding any underqualified pay driver. Mary looks like she can be smooth, and not wreck, but quick, too. A wrecker's last thing we need. She also seems understanding on how to interact with the team and make the car work the best it can. We think we can do well with her in the car."

Colloni Racing to become a 2-car team for 2014
After being able to require a good amount of funding for 2014, Modifieds team Colloni Racing are going to build a 2nd car to have alongside Dillon Stevens in the Crown Division for the 2014 Season. 18 year-old Jamie Hartley from Florida has been signed as the team's 2nd driver, driving the Number 51 car sponsored by K-Wal Stores, alongside Dillon Stevens.

New Team to enter Sports Division in Modifieds
A New Team is set to enter the Modifieds Series, running in the Sports Division to expand the field in the category. Heartout Racing Team will run a single car for 34 year-old Pay Driver Charles 'Chuck' Bender running the number 69, but because the team doesn't have enough money to require sponsorship, they are not expected to be running at the front or even in the midfield.

(OOC: noticed on TMPedia that the 451 was changed to part time without my knowledge. I was intending for that car to be a full time entry.)

Mummert Racing, the team owned by Mark Mummert, father of TM Master Cup Series driver Kraig Mummert, is reportedly wanting to remain in the FARC LoBo Truck Tour, with their 2013 driver, Jacob Walls, remaining in the race seat. The team is reportedly in talks with the national fast food Mexican restaurant chain Nacho Cymbal for sponsorship.

Accelerator Motorsports switches to solely focus on the FARC Elite Series. Stating that dedicating their funding on the top tier series can allow them to focus on development.
Logan Adams, who was slated to be in the second truck, will be heading to be Jack Dempsey's Protoge when Dempsey heads off to TM Lights. Alexander Villinov and Zeus Godson, the former Formula Overdrive drivers are currently looking for rides after their sponsors dropped out of their (almost) FARC Regional Rides.

Calhoun to run trucks full time
While it was believed that Harrison Racing would be once again running part time in the FARC LoBo Truck Tour, it was been recently confirmed that Bill Calhoun will be running the full schedule for the team in 2014.
