Last Row Autosport Drivers submit entrys for Hanmore World Championship Race

Dan Mackay and Afzal Tahmid will run in the season finale at Texas. Dan will run the #56 and Afzal will run the #54. Both cars are reported to have been stolen from the Xenos Development team shop, after Zach Branch let owner Mike Howard into the shop. Seeing as Branch is going to Atsuro GP for 2013, he was reported as saying that he didn't care about any problems this may cause.

Hanmore Officials Announce 2012-2013 Overseas Exhibition Races

A 5-race schedule consisting of both ovals and road courses will make up the 2012-2013 Hanmore Formula Overdrive Overseas Exhibition. "We've been trying to put this deal together since summer, but unfortunately we weren't able to work out all the details, and Dash Cup beat us to the punch," said Hanmore CEO Frank Dolan.

The series will start off 3 weeks after the Texas finale with two races in Germany, at the Norisring and the EuroSpeedway Lausitz. The series will then head to Portugal for a race at the famed Estoril Circuit, which was formerly a Formula A venue. Two ovals will finish off the calendar with races at Autodromo Antonio Passero in Italy, and Twin Ring Motegi in Japan. The exhibition will wrap up in early December. The races will be ran with the new 2013 cars. It is also worth noting that not all teams or drivers will compete.

"Hopefully we'll be able to put on a good show and these tracks will be on the points-paying calendar in the coming years," concluded Dolan.

McNeil appears to be uninjured after crash; later diagnosed with broken disk in back; Will sit out Mayville plans to run Texas

Patrick McNeil was one of the many drivers involved in the big crashes during the Las Vegas event. McNeil like the others appeared to be uninjured and walked unassisted to the ambulance for the mandatory trip to the infield care center.

But while in the ambulance, McNeil complained of lower back pain and had to be lowered gently to lie down on a stretcher in the ambulance. An exam in the medical center warranted a trip to a local Las Vegas hospital. After an X-ray was taken, it was discovered McNeil had fractured two discs in his lower back.

As a result of the injury, McNeil has opted to have surgery to repair the discs. This means McNeil will sit out the FO event at Mayville. He hopes to be cleared for the season ending Hanmore World Championships in Texas.

With McNeil out for Mayville, GLM has decided not to bring in a reserve driver for the #17.

(OCC: Eichholtz, just pull the #17 for Mayville, he will be running Las Vegas though.)

Team Owner Robert Nelson is possibly looking to enter two cars for the 2013, which would be the first time Spannerhead Racing have entered a team into a series that isn't a stock car series. The team will most likely enter Xenos powered Duncan's. No word yet on drivers, numbers, or sponsors. More to follow.

ReinSpeed rumoured to enter Formula Overdrive in 2013

German racing driver Arnold Laiendeich's entry to the final race of this year's Hanmore Formula Overdrive season was denied by officials, because the team exceeded the deadline for entries. But it seems that Laiendeich is serious about entering the American racing scene, as he told our magazine. "I really think that in order to improve myself as a racing driver, I should go to North America and race there. I'm very serious about my plans, and I think I can announce my road for 2013 pretty soon."
But it seems like Laiendeich was backed by a major team, ReinSpeed in fact. ReinSpeed is one of the leading German racing teams, having racked up countless regional and national championships in Germany and Europe. Therefore it would make sense, if ReinSpeed was the backer for Laiendeich's entry. Team owner Andreas Reinhardt didn't comment on that matter, but he's made several trips to the United States over the past months, probably to gather enough resources for a possible expansion of his racing operation to the United States. Time will tell if ReinSpeed will indeed set a foot into North American racing.

Chinese Driver Signed by ReinSpeed

ReinSpeed, a new team for the 2013 Formula Overdrive season, has announced that 27-year-old Chinese driver Ye Kao will drive the team's second car next season.

Kao has extensive experience in British Formula C, winning a round at Brands Hatch in 2011 and finishing seventh in the drivers' championship in 2012. Reports say that Kao has a large sum of money from the Chinese government behind his efforts.

Alright, here I will open registrations for part-time teams. Each race will have 4 part-time teams that will compete to bring the total up to 34 grid slots per race.

I will accept entries, and then assign them to the races. I am going to try to have the American or Canadian drivers show up for the North American races, and have the foreign drivers appear at the European races. The Canadian Grand Prix at Road Gatineau will be a one-off race, but I will not be posting the one-off registrations for quite some time.

Kreamer severely injured in late-race crash

Ex-ARLA driver Peter Kreamer is being treated in the ICU after his horrific crash at the Hanmore World Championships earlier today.

With a handful of laps remaining, Kreamer ran into the back of a lapped car, and while he was trying to get the car collected, he was struck by Hamilton Porteau and sent for a spin into turn 1.

Kreamer was clipped by Greg Woodard, and then struck at almost full speed by Gordon Sting, sending his Xenos pirouetting wildly through the air.

Kreamer was reportedly conscious while being treated by the track staff, and he was later placed in a medically-induced coma at the hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
