The Formula 1 Rejects World Race Series Thread
Yes, it was only a matter of time before a thread for this series got started. Basically, it's our premier open wheeler category in our alternative universe over at F1 Rejects. We're currently in the pre-season period for the 2016 season as we go through all the non-championship races (Finland has already been completed while Indy... well, Indy simply has to be seen to be believed ).
For those that are interested, the 2015 F1RWRS thread is here and using that, one can navigate their way through our crazy F1R universe

Why is this for a series that won't happen for another 3 years?

It's a series in it's own alternate timeline, which is slightly out of kilter with the rest of the known universe.

Re: The Formula 1 Rejects World Race Series Thread
I'm not sure which of the NC races will be the most ridiculous. Indy will have at most 9 finishers and barely got past half distance before being red flagged, but the French GP has the distinct possibility of my team, Equipe Gauthier, winning their first F1RWRS race in their first attempt with the notoriously bad Benoit Voeckler, and his twin sister, Adelaide Voeckler, who will be making her debut there.

Yeah, it is kind of ex post facto, but the series in question has actually been going on for some time.

Must have forgotten to mention that. My bad
In other news, it seems more and more likely by the minute that results will be backdated to Lap 125 of 199. To sum up the sheer epic failure of this race, I'll take you through the following list:
1. We started off with 60 entries
2. We dropped down to 59 entries when one team withdrew their third car
3. We had 58 starters when a driver for one of the top teams broke an ankle in the main feeder category race
4. In the first 100 laps of the race (We're using our own version of the 60/60 format in the V8 supercars), we lost 47 cars due to accidents and mechanical failures with one driver suffering minor injuries after a massive pileup, and a marshal in hospital after being run over by another driver (who is now facing a lifetime ban for his troubles)
5. Of the 11 starters for the second half of the race, only 4 made it to lap 127 due to a massive pileup the lap before.
By the end of it all, between the F1RWRS race and F2RWRS support race at Indy the day before, we calculated we'd done about $150 million worth of damage to the cars and the track. Welcome to the RWRS, ladies and gentlemen

To garner more participation and attention for the league and for F1 Rejects. If I'm not mistaken, Cynon did the same thing over at F1 Rejects with the TM Master Cup Series. There's nothing wrong with that. That, and he asked permission beforehand before posting here. Why is it such a big deal?Tigerman wrote:So why bring it here?

The waiting list for teams is over a mile long but there are several open seats available for drivers in the various feeder categories, particularly in the F2RWRS.
There's also a load of other championships on F1R as well that one can join as well, like our IndyCar championship which I believe is open to new teams, and our various semi-historical F1 seasons where there are also driver slots open.

Re: The Formula 1 Rejects World Race Series Thread
Guys, I have good news.
I'm in need of at least two drivers for the F2RWRS non-championship race at the fictional Marfield circuit in the equally fictional Glorious Nation of Tropico (It started as an F1R in-joke which reached almost memetic proportions by the end of this season) and since I run the F2RWRS and almost anything I says goes, I've decided to open those three seats to you guys over at EFR. All I need is a driver name, age, nationality and a short back-story to their careers and I'll look after the rest.

Thanks guys. Turned out there were four open slots but I'll try to use my executive powers to create a fifth spot for you guys. For those of you that are interested, I'll be running the race live with text commentary in a few days. Here's where it will be happening and race start will hopefully be somewhere between 22:00 and 23:00 GMT on Saturday, May 4

To help out those who are keen on entering, here is a flow chart showing the simple progression up the ladder. The one blue arrow shows a less realistic switch to a different series.
Quite complicated, I know. And it's not even 100% accurate.

Only stuff like F1 and NASCAR, that are actual real-life series, are mention-only. F1RWRS was a breakaway series from F1, and some drivers switched over from there. So yes, all of those series are being run.

Okay, thanks. I didn't know if it was like Formula A or Champ Car here, where it was not actually run, but put into the plot here and there.

The F1RWRS uses Grand Prix 2, F2RWRS uses Grand Prix 4, other series use F1 Challenge '99-'02, rFactor or GTR2 games-wise, while others use xkoranate and other formula models to formulate results.

Winter in the Kingfisher nearly won the damn thing, until his electrics gave up in his car. Very good stuff.
Now if Winter would like, I am willing to sign him to a Reserve seat to my team (R.T. Solvalou) in another formula series, the International Formula Rejects Challenge.

Actually, scrap that offer because Simpson Motorsport have just offered Pellerin a full-time drive in the F2RWRS for this season.

Letting you all know right now; at the end of the season will be a special event where I am accepting additional entries to battle in a additional class which could become the basis to the GT-R European Championship. There will be a a handfull out of the 15 Super GP (that's what it's called) entries that are reserved for EFR teams. If you are interested do tell me so that I can properly designate entries between users from here and at F1R. Thanks!

The first F1RWRS race of the new season is now upon us, as Martin McFry will start the Australian Grand Prix from pole. Meanwhile, in the F2RWRS, Wouter Lamberigts will start the news season from pole after a wild wet/dry qualifying session, while EFR representative Luc Pellerin will start 21st after being caught out by the weather. The F2RWRS race will be live at 12:00 UTC on Saturday, with the F1RWRS race at 10:00 UTC on Sunday. Both races will be broadcast through here with video streaming links provided a few minutes before race start.

Letting those interested know that Chris Winter will be the second driver in this car in the GT-R WC, once they buy out the AeroKings team. They will debut at CTMP, which is round five.
(The user who owns AeroKings has been inactive since April, so I will be running the team for the remainder of the season and leaving the entry open for new teams next season)
