The 1st part of the review goes from the green flag to the 4th caution...

RACE 1 : SOUTH BOSTON 150

James Lang (#9) earned the pole with a time of 14.125 with Justin Weatherford (#79) starting on his outside.


1ST CAUTION

Coming out of turn 3, Kayla Wheeler (#7) pushes up into Johnny Jones (#82) and flips on the frontstretch!








Just seconds into the season opener, Wheeler is out of the race! The field would come down under this caution, and AC Melling Jr. (#91) came out as the leader.


Shortly after the restart, Tanya Carlisle (#17) comes down pit road with some sort of problem.


Looking behind Casey Lester (#13), the Lycoias of Greg Woodard (#41), Nigel Johnson III (#72), and Reno Warren (#86) go 3-wide on the backstretch on lap 11!


Juan Carlos Aguilar (#47) has caught up to Melling Jr. and contends for the lead.


Into turn 1...


and Melling Jr. goes into the wall!


Shortly afterwards, the racing begins to quiet down with Aguilar out in front of the field.


On lap 32, Aguilar has begun to lap the back of the field starting with Casey Lester.


On lap 44, Johnny Jones has shown up as a challenger and caught up to Aguilar.


Aguilar makes the same error as Melling Jr. from earlier and hits the turn 2 wall and Johnny Jones goes to the lead.


Roger Mason (#16) would quickly follow suite and pass Aguilar for 2nd.


2ND CAUTION

Reno Warren gets out of shape in turn 1 and hits the turn 2 wall and spins it.




Here comes Tristan Yale (#99) and Steve Morgan (#5)...


Umm..what is Morgan doing?


This doesn't look good...


And Morgan nails the back of Warren!


Steve Morgan is the 2nd car to go out of the race and the 1st driver to the hauler for that avoidable accident.


On lap 60, the field is brought to the restart by Johnny Jones.


3RD CAUTION

James Lang, Ryan Crawford (#90), Charles Morrison (#00), and Justin Weatherford are 4 wide in the back!


Morrison goes up...


And Morrison is on the turn 3 wall!


What's this? James Lang is also on the turn 3 wall!


Both cars roll down the banking...





Morrison would be the next car to go out of the race, but James Lang continues on. Yay American Steel!


Once again, Johnny Jones would lead the field to the restart.


We go onboard again with Casey Lester as he heads into turn 1...



And he hits the back of Carlisle!

4TH CAUTION

Now into turn 3...


Lester finishes the job and sends Carlisle into the wall!



Carlisle gets into Nigel Johnson III and they both get onto the wall! Both cars were stuck onto the wall and would need a tow, and Casey Lester earned a trip to the hauler.


Coming to the caution, David Ellias (#05) puts Aguilar into the wall! In the meantime, Roger Mason went to the race lead.




Into turn 1, under caution, Aguilar is clearly not happy with Ellias.



I think we know where this is going...


Aguilar plants Ellias into the wall and goes around!


Both Ellias and Aguilar were promptly called to the hauler for this altercation.

Carlisle unimpressed with Lester

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT DUMBASS DOING OUT THERE?!?" screamed Carlisle, over the radio for the #17 Saar team. After Casey Lester dumped the #17 car in turn 3 in what looked to be a blatant move, Carlisle refused to talk to her crew again out of frustration until the end of the 4th caution where she had calmed down... slightly.

Tanya Carlisle had this to say: "I really don't know what I did to piss Casey off that much, or if he's just an idiot. I'm honestly thinking the latter, but we'll see what he has to say later on."

Ellias: "That was the most inconvenient cut tire ever!"

"We had a tire pop from running over some debris from lord knows what, and we just flat went straight into the #47. Sucked for us, but I am glad we had a talk and could talk it over and see it was beyond my control. I honestly think I didn't need Aguilar to push me into the wall in turn two the car would have done it itself. "

Morgan: "the 86 is at fault!"

"Why am I the one in the hauler now? The 86 clearly backed up when he shouldn't have and I , who was trapped below another car, get the blame? Do these officials still live in the 1960s or something?"*

*I don't actually believe that but, I am portraying Morgan as someone who is hot-headed and doesn't quite want to take the blame at first.

2nd part of the review...

5TH CAUTION (Missed the restart...)

Carlisle, Crawford, and Matthew Snyder (#68) are 3-wide into turn 3...


Crawford is pushed up the track because of this...


And goes into the turn 3 wall!


James Lang was also collected in this accident. Both cars would keep on going.


On the restart, Roger Mason continues to lead.


Despite the carnage in recent laps, we're still 3 wide around the track!


6TH CAUTION

Reno Warren is awful high in turn 3...


Look out Jacob Gregory!


Prawblems!


What a save by Gregory! However, things aren't looking good for Warren.




And over goes Warren!







Warren finally comes to rest on his side and climbed out of the car, but he and AC Melling Jr. were done for the day.


Once more, Roger Mason leads the field to the restart.


7TH CAUTION

Back onto the frontstretch, and there's contact between Matthew Snyder and Ryan Crawford.


Crawford pushes up in turn 1 and hooks Tanya Carlisle on the backstretch!




Matthew Snyder is carried along for the ride and gets some air when he hits the wall.


Here's a novel concept, Roger Mason leading the field to the restart.


More trouble for Ryan Crawford as he goes high...



Into the turn 2 wall and around he goes! However, this doesn't bring out a caution!



Roger Mason is now challenged out in front by Jacob Gregory!


Gregory makes a bonzai dive into turn 3 and pushes David Ellias up into Roger Mason! Ellias would go into the wall, however, Mason would be fine.




In a surprise twist, Matthew Snyder has made his way into the top 5 with a damaged car!


Almost out of nowhere, Greg Woodard blasts by Roger Mason and challenges Gregory for the lead!




And off to the races goes Woodard!


Woodard has a great run he-and what's this?


Woodard is slowing down!




Woodard must have a tire puncture or something to that effect as he dives into the pits from the lead!



In the meantime, Snyder has made his way up to 2nd and now begins to make his way to the leader!


Mason is held up heavily by Crawford and Snyder goes to the lead in the closing laps! Jacob Gregory would take 2nd from Mason as well!



However for Gregory, Mason would pass him back for the position.



But Mason would run out of time to challenge the leader, as Matthew Snyder takes the white and checkered flags and take the victory in the South Boston 150!

Shortly after his 3rd place finish at South Boston, Jacob Gregory was suspended indefinitely by NALMPT officials after Gregory tested positive for methamphetamine during a mandatory post-race drug test. With the strict regulations against drugs, the NALMPT President announced that Gregory would be disqualified from South Boston and stripped of all of his points.

Snyder prevails in Wild Race

Matt Snyder's race was interesting to say the least. Snyder's car rode the turn 3 wall as part of the 7th caution flag. Still the young driver wasn't going to give up. With damage to the car, Snyder charged his way to the front and took the first checked flag of the season.

Snyder said this in victory lane following the race:
"I hope the fans here enjoyed that one. It was as wild out there as it probably looked out there. I don't know what happened to the car after we hit the wall, but we just found speed in it somehow and made that run. This is so awesome. I'm so happy I could do a backflip."

Snyder in fact did a backflip in victory lane off his racecar at the request of a couple of fans. He landed it.

Although Snyder is tied with Roger Mason for the points lead, Snyder would be the leader because of today's win.

Does Jahgee's ban leave a vacancy is this series, one of my friends is interested in entering this series. (I am trying to convince him to register here)

Weatherford happy with Top 5

"The #79 Lycoia ran great today, we had a few hairy moments out there, but honestly, not a bad race all things considered. Started 2nd, and got a Top 5 out of the day. Just wish we could've beaten Lester for 4th." A very happy Justin Weatherford joked in his post-race interview.

He would have to enter as a part-time driver in this case. Tell me in a PM his driver's information, which races he would like to run (he can pick 3), and the car if possible.

Jones has mixed feelings about finish
Johnny Jones was able to get a 9th place finish in a chaotic race, including the post race. "I think we had a car to beat, if we hadn't gotten in that one wreck, we might have won." Jones was moved up to 9th after Jacob Gregory's disqualification and ban.

Sixth place finish for Lang despite getting caught in two substantial wrecks. Great work by the crew!

What happens when you try to run a test race at Concord:

I did run the 2nd race. But procrastination has got the best of me.

RACE 2 : BOWMAN GRAY 100

The pole went to Reno Warren with Charles Morrison on his outside.


For the next few laps, Warren and Morrison continued to race each other for the lead.


Finally, coming to complete lap 7, Reno Warren makes a breakaway.


Kayla Wheeler has already made it further than she did at South Boston!


A problem may have developed with Warren's car as he begins to drop through the field rather quickly. This is him losing 4th to Greg Woodard.


Warren hits the wall out of 4 and loses 6th to Kayla Wheeler (Casey Lester also got by on the same lap.)


Things just can't get any worse...


Or maybe they can as Warren spins. However, no caution comes out, although arguably it should have.




Warren's slow car has begun to jam up some of the frontrunners.



1ST CAUTION - LAP 20

And around goes Warren!




The race restarts at the 1/4 mark with Charles Morrison still running out front.


However, his lead wouldn't last long as Morrison goes high and Justin Weatherford takes over the lead!


Casey Lester quickly passes Weatherford and is now on the point.



2ND CAUTION - LAP 28

Tanya Carlisle battles for 3rd with Charles Morrison...


But ends up hooking Morrison and spins him into the grass!



Casey Lester leads the field to the restart on lap 34.


South Boston winner Matthew Snyder is struggling and is currently outside the top 10.


Back out front, Lester has rapidly caught up to the back of the field, starting with Tristan Yale.


More trouble for Reno Warren as for the 3RD time this race and goes around.



Because of Warren, another jamup has occurred with the frontrunners.


And in a smart decision, Warren hits the pits to check the damage.


Clearly something was amiss on pit road, because as soon as Warren exits the pits, he hits the turn 4 wall for the 4TH time tonight.



With help from Mr. Warren, Kayla Wheeler makes on a move on Justin Weatherford on the high line.


And WHAT IS THIS?!



ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! In a rather shameful act, Reno Warren drives Kayla Wheeler into the tires at pit entrance in an apparent act of frustration. Warren would be called immediately to the hauler for his actions.


After that, the race was smooth the rest of the way and Casey Lester cruised on to the win at Bowman-Gray!

"I'm getting myself down thinking about that wreck. It was pretty shameful of me to blatantly wreck him like that. I can't say sorry enough about that. I'm happy we got a 2nd place finish though, that's excellent. A massive improvement from last week."

Lester wins at Bowman-Gray, redeems himself from antics of last race

Casey Lester: The car handled great the whole race. We clawed our way forward and stayed there. I dunno what might've happened if Carlisle got to me. She probably would've dumped me in the corner in retaliation for last week. The car was well-suited with the track and I felt it push just a bit in the center of the Turns, but the handling got better and better once we began to go on that final run towards the end. Great day for this entire #13 team and we'll try and carry this momentum to the next race.

Meh, my drivers were both really anonymous.

Weatherford pleased with 6th

Justin: Eh, the 79 was good today. 6th is a pretty good way to continue our season. I think we'll be in victory lane before we know it.

Warren Apologizes, Explains Actions

After scoring the pole for Round 2 at Bowman-Grey, Reno Warren quickly dropped off the pace, with power steering problems. Warren hit the wall four times out of turn four and caused many stack ups and incidents. However, that was not the case with the incident involving Kayla Wheeler.

"I want to first apologize to Kayla for the incident. The power steering had been shot all race, and I was just trying to survive the day. I was trying to get out of [the leaders] way, and going into the turn, I cut a right front tire. Wheeler happened to be there, and it took us into the wall. I'm truly sorry for what happened, but I can't control when my car decides to cut a tire."

Penalties are known to be coming to the 86 any time soon. While Warren had had a dismol year, his teammate Matthew Snyder is currently running third in points.

Penalties for Bowman-Gray:

#86 Reno Warren - 1/2 points for the race.

Wheeler Taken on One Way Trip Into Pit Wall

A strong run at the Madhouse turned ugly for young Kayla Wheeler after a pair of run-ins with Reno Warren. While Warren insisted that he cut a tire in the straight, the excuse was not heard in Kayla Wheeler's family team.

"Funny how his power steering doesn't work around me but works fine everywhere else." Wheeler was quoted as saying.
"Just some guys don't know how to handle a tight car... and that guy needs one because he's all over the place... he was holding me up earlier in the race when he was a lap behind so I moved him out of the way.

Wheeler believes that Warren's actions were in revenge and were a result of petulance.

"He basically came back and drove me straight into the pit wall opening. It's one thing to spin someone else out again but that was pretty out of line... I hope something's done about that because little boys don't need to be driving these."

RACE 3 : AMERICAN 125

The pole would go to David Ellias in the #05 with the #5 of Steve Morgan on his outside.


It would get pretty hectic in turn 2, however everyone got through clean.



After the 1st lap, the #47 of Juan Carlos Aguilar would be the race leader.


On lap 2, Tristan Yale in the #99 would push up into the #17 of Tanya Carlisle and she would end up into the wall but kept going with little, if any damage.



After starting on the pole, David Ellias is dropping like a rock through the field.


And getting put into the wall by the #82 of Johnny Jones isn't helping that at all.



At about the same time, your points leader Casey Lester (#13) would get hooked by Carlisle but he keeps it off the wall.



Reno Warren's goal today : Earn back the respect of his fellow competitiors after all the madness he caused at Bowman-Gray.


On lap 8, the #00 of Charles Morrison would pass the #7 of Kayla Wheeler for 2nd and begin hunting down Aguilar.


It's only lap 12, and things already go from bad to worse for Ellias as he pushes up into Nigel Johnson III (#72) and sends both of them into the wall, however they would keep the cars straight.



Here's Steve Morgan passing Kayla Wheeler for the third position.


Points leader Casey Lester is running towards the back of the field early in the going.


South Boston winner Matthew Snyder is currently running inside the top 10 battling with AC Melling Jr. (#91) and James Lang (#9).


Kayla Wheeler passes back around Steve Morgan.


Only for Steve Morgan to pass Wheeler again!


By lap 21, Charles Morrison has caught up to race leader Aguilar.


On the next lap, Morrison would get the race lead.


Meanwhile a few seconds behind them, Kayla Wheeler would once again pass Steve Morgan!


Ryan Crawford in the #90 is struggling early in the going running last a few seconds behind the next car.


Yet another change for third between Steve Morgan and Kayla Wheeler!


Looking a little further back in the field, Tristan Yale passes AC Melling Jr. for 9th.


Aguilar begins to make a move to pass Morrison for the lead.


On lap 28, Aguilar would get back on the point.



The intense racing between Morgan and Wheeler has brought the #79 of Justin Weatherford into the mix of their battle.


1ST CAUTION - LAP 30

Reno Warren pushes up the track into Nigel Johnson III and carries both of them into the wall.




Poor Greg Woodard in the #41 has nowhere to go.




The field came in to pit, and Charles Morrison would lead the field to the restart on lap 35.


Hi, Justin Weatherford.


Bye, Justin Weatherford.



Kayla Wheeler makes a daring 3-wide move pass both Aguilar and Morrison to take 2nd.



Remember when we said Casey Lester was towards the back? Well now he's running 7th.


Tanya Carlisle, who was also towards the back earlier in the race, has now made her way into the top 10.


Here she is making her way around Charles Morrison, who seems to be dropping back through the field.



Kayla Wheeler battling Justin Weatherford for the lead, and assumes it on lap 39.




A look at the rest of the field on lap 44.


The leaders have quickly caught up to the slow cars of Warren and Woodard.



Thanks to the slow car of Woodard, Casey Lester passes Aguilar for third.


Aguilar would then lose third to Tanya Carlisle.


However, Aguilar would pass Carlisle back on lap 52.


2ND CAUTION - LAP 53

Greg Woodard is caught up to by the pack of Lang, Snyder, Morgan, Morrison, and Yale.



Steve Morgan would run right over Woodard and send him into the wall!



In the opposite fashion of the 1st caution, Warren would get collected by Woodard's spinning car.


Here comes Roger Mason towards the accident.



Oops...


Forgot to mention that David Ellias was behind Mason.


I also forgot to mention that Ryan Crawford was behind Ellias. Under caution, Warren and Ellias would drop out of the race.


Kayla Wheeler would continue to lead on the restart.


Like on the last restart, Weatherford would quickly pass for the race lead.


Casey Lester would also pass Wheeler for second.



Soon after, Wheeler would take 2nd from Lester.


And Wheeler would take the lead back on lap 66!



Tanya Carlisle is now battling for Casey Lester for third.


And they make contact in turn 1 as Carlisle passes by!


Nigel Johnson III blows up, mercifully ending his day.



It seems that we keep finding Lang, Morrison, and Morgan together in a pack.


Kayla Wheeler aggressively passing Crawford and Mason in order to keep Weatherford behind her.



3RD CAUTION - LAP 92

Points leader Casey Lester running solidly in 4th.


Lester all of a sudden begins slowing down!



Roger Mason coming out of pit road slightly taps Lester just enough where the NALMPT officials have to throw the caution! Lester would return to the track 2 laps down.


The race restarts with Wheeler continuing to hold on to the lead.


4TH CAUTION - LAP 104

A battle for 9th between Morrison and Morgan goes haywire when Morrison pushes Morgan up in the wall, sending both of them around!




Nowhere to go for Matthew Snyder.


The race would have to be decided by a 16-lap shootout.


James Lang with another great run towards the front.


Weatherford is trying everything he can to pass Wheeler for the lead!





But it wouldn't be enough, after 2 last place finishes to start the season, Kayla Wheeler wins the American 125!

Tanya Carlisle pleased with top 5 run, Mason not so happy with crashing

Tanya Carlisle got another top 5 finish, her 2nd in a row at USA International, while Mason crashed during the event. Tanya Carlisle wanted to express her emotions on something, still.

"That hard racing with Casey Lester is really fun! I've honestly glad we didn't take the South Boston incident any further, and now we're racing each other clean, but aggressively. I like that!"

And Mason had this to say:

"I just couldn't slow down in time to avoid that crash. And that ruined our race. I just wish we could show the speed we had at SoBo."

Derp derp derp derp derp...I thought Reno Warren was in that car, not Steven Wallace.

If his bad performance continues, he will be replaced.

"David Elias Announced, that after the Lakeland race his Spotter was fired. Elias stated that since he is both Spotter and Fabricator, he wouldn't be released by the team, just relieved of one of his duties."

NIGEL JOHNSON III SUSPENDED INDEFINITELY

When it was discovered that Nigel Johnson III illegally immigrated to the United States, he was promptly suspended by the president of the NALMPT. "We are very disappointed with the actions of some of our competitiors this season." said the NALMPT President. Unlike Jacob Gregory, Johnson III will be left with all of his points up to USA International.
