Backstory:
Every year, the Stock Car Racing Association gathers in Homestead, FL for the biggest race of the year, the Sunshine State 500. The entry lists usually brimming with up and coming drivers, seasoned veterans, and surprise drivers that nobody would expect. This year, SCRA President Clifford Moss advertised the event during the PCC Cup Series qualifiers at Talladega, with very mixed results. Only time will tell how this goes.
This will be run under the Default Cup mod.

Sunshine State 500 winner to receive automatic Cleveland GP bid?
The Wednesday after the PCC Cup Series race at Talladega, PCC Cup Series President John Kowalski was asked about the rise of the SCRA, and his opinions on the matter. He said, "There's a rival series out there that wants to challenge our greatness?! Well, I appreciate the challenge! Hell, might as well invite their best over for our biggest race so we can demolish them in style! The winner of their Sun Star 500 or whatever the hell it's called, he can run the Cleveland Grand Prix if he so chooses, we'll give him an automatic spot on the grid."

Unfortuately it's gonna take a LONG time to render, so it willl probably be up on YouTube tomorrow.

Ironic if a PCC Cup Driver wins the race and would have gotten in anyway if they didn't win.

- Spoiler:
- Kromier: "I'm glad I didn't die."
64 year-old Glenn Kromier of Montgomery, Alabama came to the Homestead-Miami Speedway with the hopes of winning the prestigious SCRA Sunshine State 500 and locking himself into the PCC Cup Series season finale at Cleveland. That did not happen, as Kromier was involved in the 3rd caution of the day on lap 20. He managed 16th place, 4 laps down, and the last car running on the track.
"We was runnin' good, then we was wreck after the caution by that Rainbow Intimidator. God damnit! But at least my Southern Homestyle Chicken was still able to run, ya know? I'm glad I didn't die, wait... medic, halp! Halp!" yelled Kormier as a member of his pit party collapsed next to him from an apparent heart attack. The victim, 79 year-old Gladice Hope, was transported to a local Miami hospital in stable condition.
Kromier and his team gave 50 senior citizens pit passes for the Sunshine State 500. There were concerns from SCRA officials before the race, as a number of those senior citizens had oxygen tanks with them, causing a major fire hazard, however, SCRA officials let the team race anyway.

- Woodard okay after horrifying wreck on lap 20.
Woodard would be able to get out of his car under his own power as he cursed under his breath about that 'contig covered bastard'. After he was checked out by medical personnel and released, he headed to the hauler of the driver that wrecked him. While he nearly punched that driver's lights out, it seemed that he held back. "I'm glad that he lost, karma's a b**** like that." Woodard told reporters as he headed back to his hauler. Luckily enough, most of the drivers who were involved made it out okay, however, the condition of the #7 was in doubt due to another driver colliding with them at full speed.

Timmy Koch kicked out of ride for poor performance after 2nd place finish
After a stunning and unexpected 2nd place finish, Timmy Koch has lost his ride after failing to perform according. On lap 5, Timmy Koch was expected to pull into the garage area and "park" the car, but Timmy Koch reportedly yelled "FUCK THE POLICE" over the radio and kept racing.
"We can't afford to have cars not park." said team owner Phil Nemecheck. "We may be rich as fuck now, but he never parked, so we are not having him back with the team."
Timmy Koch reportedly tore off a contig in revenge, but it never mattered since there was like 1000 other contigs on there. What a dumbass.
Ben Atkins dies in crash; expected to recover
After a heavy crash late in the running, Ben Atkins died after dolan duck was reportedly in the car, who was the title sponsor, and stabbed him after he crashed. Atkins was taken for a local hospital and pronounced dead at 5.30AM, hours later. Wouldn't count out the possibility of this possibly having a season at some point, but due to other EFR related commitments, a full season may take a while to happen, but keep your eyes open, there may be another race or two this year.Mother of Invention wrote:SO, Tanner what are the chances of this becoming a full series? EDIT: What could this be? Definitely NOT the SCRA carset...
