Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
I have set an deadline for ratings/cars to the Tears TryHard 500 one-offs; it is June 3rd; if I don't get flats nor ratings, your cars are not running.

(Full Standings aren't working)
- Spoiler:
- Sean Cao annoyed, Daniel Yan continuing to fail as Tom Cao gets a solid result for the first time, Jerry Yan gets a top 5 and Jessica Yan gets her first win of the season, after struggling most of the year, making it career victory number 4 for her.
"It's unbelievable that some of these people are able to be competitors. Slow as hell or getting involved in multiple wrecks, doesn't matter, helped ruin our day and put ourselves in a deeper hole". - Sean Cao
"It's amazing how bad we get screwed and suck this year...freaking contact on pit road caused us to fall back early and yeah we got our lap back but who gives a shit?" - Daniel Yan
"Got 4th today, and very happy with that result. It would be amazing to see if I was just more consistent with runs like today". - Jerry Yan
"You know our finishes haven't been bad, but I was happy to show that I can be competitive. My ultimate goal is a top 10 by seasons end". - Tom Cao
*An unusually emotional Jessica Yan gets out of her car, much to the delight of her team and crew*
"This season has been tough and I mean really tough. We finished last in two rounds back to back, and other rounds we just have been at the wrong places wrong times. I am so happy to get this win! It feels amazing to be back here! I love the support everyone here gives me!" - Jessica Yan

Since I've had some issues with Windows and my hard drive, I'll have to reinstall a lot of stuff, so the next couple of APRS races will have to wait a while. I'll still receive the Tears TryHard 500 cars, which deadline is in June 6th.

Big news coming out from Yan Motorsports!
Daniel Yan to be released after this season, due to poor attitude, bad decisions, and even worse finishes. Daniel Yan, stormed out of the garage area and refused to answer any questions.
Sean Cao gets another top 10. Jerry Yan gets top 5. Jessica Yan and Tom Cao get 11th and 12th respectively.
Pretty pleased with all these results...except Daniel's

- Spoiler:
Skeez Antifreeze Updates and News
Skeez Antifreeze Racing has had an interesting season so far. They started off well, couldn't find any luck in the middle of the year, and are now beginning to fire on all cylinders. With just a few races left in the year Devon Kenward and Stewart Ferguson have begun having good runs. At Memphis Devon Kenward would be racing for a top 5 finish but would be wrecked in the waning laps to end that run. Just a week after the disappoint at Memphis both Kenward and Ferguson would get top 10 runs at Rockingham, with Ferguson getting a 5th. Alan Kenward, owner of Skeez Antifreeze Racing, would say after the Rockingham races "Our team has had a tough year of competition, but now that we're eliminated from any championship contention, we can go all out for wins (laughs). I still believe we're strong enough to be up front every week, and I'm ready for 2016."
In other news at Skeez Antifreeze Racing, the team had talks of expansion, and with the entry of Josh Miller for the team at the season finale, the Tears TryHard 500, they have basically confirmed that rumor. It is planned for Miller to run in the Ciprani Challenge Series full-time in 2016.

Team Nuka Cola makes 2016 update, McKane to be released
Team Nuka Cola has announced that they plan to field a 4 car operation in 2016, with 3 full time cars, and one part time car. Chris Valentine has been resigned by the team, but Nathan McKane will not be returning.
There are a lot of prospects for the team, one of the more notable ones being Lewis Duran, who raced in the FARC Regional Series in 2013.
Evans Motorsports to shut down at season's end
Evans Motorsports has been having funding issues in 2015, and team owner Jason Evans has announced that he will have to shut down operations at the end of the season. Whether or not Evans has any plans to continue racing in the APRS has yet to be seen.
More updates coming in the future...

Now,, there's no more full-time spots open on the Racing Series, there are 5 slots open in the Challenge Series and 6 on the SuperTrucks (which are basically the Midwest Dirt Trucks under the PART)

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
Sean Cao, angry with Julia Ashcroft and Danny Hamilton. Tom Cao gets a solid 2nd place result, with Jessica Yan getting 8th and Jerry Yan getting 10th.
"An incredible amount of hard work put into this season, only to be eliminated by a complete morons in that freaking 9 and 25 cars. Julia smacked the wall and Danny turned her right down into me which saved her championship hopes and ruined mine cause neither one of them know what to do in that freaking situation. I swear if Julia wins this championship, I'm going to be so pissed off it will take an offseason to get over it cause getting wrecked by two morons and losing your bid for a championship like this isn't the way anyone's season should finish. Just hope to make the TryHard 500 at this point." - Sean Cao
"Not only did I meet my goal, we almost won a race! Can't believe it! 2nd place is one short of winning, and you know a lot of people would be upset with that result but hey, I'm really new at this, this feels like a victory!" - Tom Cao
"Was really proud of the 11 team today, been clicking off some solid runs lately. Be nice to finish off this season at the TryHard 500." - Jessica Yan
"I understand Sean's disappointment, but he's got to take away the good from this season, and I'm sure he will and does, but I understand him being upset at the moment right now. Getting 10th today for this 01, is another solid run and just like the rest of the team, hope to make the TryHard 500. If I make it great, if not, this is my final race." - Jerry Yan
Daniel Yan extremely mad at the end of the Hanmore 500, charges Lucas Gage's garage where he fights with his team members of the 82.
While Daniel Yan wasn't interviewed directly, media microphones caught drift of just what Daniel Yan was hurling at Gage and his team.
"THAT STUPID LITTLE ***** DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO GO AROUND SLOW TRAFFIC! WE HAD SLOW TRAFFIC FROM LANIGAN BREAKING DOWN AND THE TYPICAL BACKMARKERS AND YOU! YOU STUPID LITTLE ****! YOU ****ING HOOK ME! WHAT THE **** IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?!?!?! I WOULD SO QUICKLY REVOKE YOUR LICENSE CAUSE YOU ARE A NO TALENT LITTLE ****!"
It was reported that Daniel Yan tried to hit Lucas Gage but was stopped by the team members. Yan also, threw his helmet at the team's trailer before going back to his 71 hauler.

- Pellerin poised to take first career title, coming into Talladega as the underdog.
Rebecca Pellerin after finishing 7th at Texas, noted that the road to her 1st career championship in APRS, is going to be a tough one. Especially after a win by rival Mac Hanley.
"Hanley is a great driver, and hopefully we can beat someone of his caliber for the title.
Some questioned Talladega being the last race of the season, most likely for it's uncertain results.
"I'm not that good on Super Speedways, but it's the Tryhard 500, it's tradition, but Hanley has to go through it also. Our cars may not have the power, but hopefully lady luck is on our side.
*Rebecca on future plans*
It's too early to say. I want to continue my Dash Cup career and race with some great competitors like Percy, Rogers-Ashby, and many more. I gonna run 2016 with Ernest Lewis, hopefully 2017, I have something for Dash Cup.

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
Jerry Yan, the only Yan Motorsports car to make the TryHard 500, will not give up his spot. After the TryHard 500, he will retire from racing, but keep ownership of the team.
"It's been one hell of a year. And to top it off, the TryHard 500 will be my last career race. Jessica, my amazing wife, and I will keep ownership of the team, but I am just getting a bit too old to be doing all this traveling and getting in and out of the cars like we do and at least in my opinion, it loses its luster. However, I don't regret it at all, I'm proud of this team and my family. Would be nice to finish out the career on top." - Jerry Yan

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
APRS News Now wrote:All four Rocky Mountain Racers Lenards make the Tears TryHard 500
After qualifying today for the Tears TryHard 500, the Rocky Mountain Racers team was ecstatic that all four of their drivers made it into the main event. Jethro Jones, Lucas Gage, Dexter Fairburn and Ben Schneider will compete for the 500 crown this weekend, Gage and Fairburn progressing from C-Main 2 into B-Main 2. Gage and Jones progressed into the race from B-Main 2, Fairburn missing out, however he would also get in through the Last Chance Qualifier. Ben Schneider placed 13th in B-Main 1 to start in the race as well.
TM Lights' Kris Pagano "happy" to make his first Tears TryHard 500
Kris Pagano, rookie TM Lights driver for EV Racing in the #135 Duracell Nemoto, has made it in to his first ever Tears TryHard 500 by the skin of his teeth. Pagano placed 18th in the second B-Main, which was not enough to gain a spot. However, thanks to finishing 7th in the Last Chance Qualifier, he will line up in the race alongside such big names as Julia Ashcroft, Mac Hanley, Gabriel Macena and Ben Atkins.
This is a daunting race for a rookie, but Pagano is taking it in his stride. "For sure, it will be tough, but I'm just glad I made it in the first place!", he chuckled. "Big thanks to all the team and supporters. We are a small family-owned team and to be able to race in one of the biggest races in America is just amazing. Thanks also to the Rocky Mountain guys for lending us one of their cars!"
Clapp to start the 500, places 15th in B-Main 1
Rookie FARC superstar Johnson Clapp has had a pretty stellar debut season by his own admission. "Yeah it has definitely been an interesting one. At the beginning I was just wanting some miles in the Super Series, you know, to kinda find my feet. Of course, when Casey [Lester] had that horrible accident, PWRT had to find a sub and I'm honoured that they chose me".
Clapp has had some good results in FARC, and is hoping for another good one here in the Tears TryHard 500. "I'm just glad to be here", he said. "PWRT are a great team to work with and I thank them for giving me this opportunity."

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
- HUE:
- Pellerin upset after falling out of the race, and losing the title.
Rebecca Pellerin came to Talladega with one thing on her mind, winning the APRS championship. She dreamed as a young girl about being a champion, just like his grandpa, being a role model for other girls, especially in her home-town. That dream was shattered after Rebecca saw smoke in the cockpit, with less than 20 to go.
Radio
*Rebecca* : Yeah, it's done boys, it's cooked.
*CC* : Get it back to the garage, sucks that we couldn't get it done, we'll get them next year, I promise.
*Rebecca* : I really hope so guys, thanks for a awesome season. On to 2016.
Pellerin was visibly distraught after the race, barring the situation, but went to mac Hanley and congratulated him on the title. Rebecca will return to chase her dream with the same team under new ownership, with Ernest Lewis.
Family Curse?
It's been a couple of years now that the Pellerin family can't get it done. 2013 was Luc Pellerin not getting it done in his debut at Mosport with M&J, 2014 had mom Angel Gray having a great year in trucks, but sadly reliability issues cost her wins and a title. Luc's 2014 season had lots of bad luck in Trucks, with the best truck in the field, never got a chance to finish it. Rebecca was the first one to get a major career victory in a major league of racing, at Road America, but the dream she wanted to realize the most (The APRS title) was not fulfilled.
Some say the curse started when grandpa Ronald Pellerin, the first racer in the family, won won countless races in the northeast, and some APRS events back in the 70's died in a tragic accident at Watkins Glen. Some say it's pure coincidence. No one knows for sure...
JINX Racing Plans
"Overall, I'd say that the 2015 Season was a big success barring some issues throughout the year. I feel that 2016 could lead to a championship or at least more wins and championship contention. After a strong showing in our first ever APRS season, with several pole positions and 3 wins we are heading into 2016 with confidence and a slight roster change... I do have a couple of developmental drivers in mind to potentially drive for me however, I'd like to see if anyone else doesn't have a ride that could use one for 2016..."

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
Jerry Yan. gets 11th in his final career start. Closes the book as a driver, but he will remain around as the car and team owner. Jerry Yan finishes 12th in points, pretty pleased with that. Sean Cao, despite missing a couple of races, gets 5th in points. Jessica Yan, finishes off the season 26th in points. Daniel Yan's major fall from grace is from complete going from 6th in 2014 to 51st in 2015. Emma Yan, injured falls to 57th and her replacement for those races Tom Cao, finishes 81st, in the 81.
"It has been one hell of a ride, but now I'm ready to just step back and be more behind the wall and keep on watching this team do what they do. Thank you to everyone who was my support and did their hardest for me these past two seasons." - Jerry Yan
"Happy to get 5th this season. Stinks the championship battle couldn't involve more but hey that's racing. Hope to more of a contender next season, but you never know what will be in store." - Sean Cao
"Got a win this season and overall inconsistency is what cursed us, but hey can only go up from here. Proud of that win and hope to do better in 2016." - Jessica Yan
Daniel Yan, left once he knew he was not advancing and didn't want to talk to the press about 2016 or anything.
Emma Yan wasn't there due to still healing from her broken leg, but sent a text message to Jerry after the race saying "Going to miss seeing you on the track, Dad but at least we got the shop and during dinner. "
Tom Cao was there to support Jerry Yan in his final race. He stated: "Can't believe I'm going to be taking over for Jerry next year. He has a lot of faith in me and I know I have some pretty big shoes to fill, but I know Sean, Jessica, and Emma will help me and Jerry will be there at the shop and on the pit stalls. I know I only started 4 races, but in most of them we ran well, so will be interesting what we can do in the 01 next year."

HQS Racing to open two truck team; Atkins shows trust in young rookies
HQS Racing have shown their trust in young rookies by putting the funds in to open a two truck PART Super Trucks team to start a developmental program in the ranks of PART. HQS Racing, who are now part owned by former Desert Star Motorsports owner Henry Sylvester and Dash Cup team owner Ben Atkins, have been through the ranks of FARC in the past before Ben Atkins decided to take a year off HQS Racing to focus on Dash Cup, but the team reformed with help from Sylvester to join PART as a super team.
Atkins signed Thomas Culler earlier in the week as a developmental driver, with many people thinking the 18 year old would be piloting a late model for the team, however it turned out that Atkins was interested in doing select Truck races, particularly the SuperSpeedway races, and Atkins struck a deal where him and Culler would share a truck. Atkins will race at New York and Talladega while Culler will do the rest of the season.
They are still looking for a driver for their second truck, but the most predictable choice at the moment would be Quincy Whitbread after his stellar season in the NDT.

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
All series in PART hierarchy unveiled, local series system.
After days of rumours about the future of PART in 2016, all PART-sanctioned series were finally unveiled.
In a press conference last night at the PART headquarters in New York City, the new PART CEO, Christian Wortham, together with PART's owner, Madeleine Fay announced the five sanctioned series in 2016, when APRS will merge with the Midwest Dirt Trucks and the United States Stock Car Tour.
- PART Racing Series presented by Cyra: The longest running series among all of the championships in the merger, it will stay as premier national series of PART.
- PART Cipriani Challenge Series: The developmental division of APRS becomes the second tier PART series, any driver who impress on the developmental territories will most likely go onto the Challenge Series before entering the Racing Series.
- PART SuperTrucks Series: Third tier series, the former Midwest Dirt Trucks suffers a major change, going from a dirt based championship, to a asphalt-based truck series.
- PART All-American Series: The fourth series in PART hierarchy, the street stocks tour will have the shortest calendar between all series. It's the start of a national career for all PART drivers.
- PART presents the United States Short Track Series: PART will sanction several short track championships on US under the USSTS name. Drivers that stand out enough may have the opportunity of becoming big stars in PART.
(OOC: All series but the USSTS will be run, the USSTS will be mention only. If anyone wants to be a guest commentator or even run a race [aside from the Racing Series and Challenge Series] just PM me.)

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
Updated the first post with a new set of contigs and new templates for both spec car options.
Also, there are no more full-time spots open in all series but the All-American Series (9 slots open) . No team will be able to run all four series as it's pretty much an idiotic idea and unviable (you don't see Cup Series teams running in all NASCAR series, that would kill any operation). Being a tryhard will just make things worse.

Team Nuka Cola gives extra info, Duran confirmed
Team Nuka Cola has announced that they will run the Cromwell A16 next season. Lewis Duran has been confirmed to be driving for the team, and he will run #47, the number that Chris Valentine ran last season. Valentine will run the number #51. The third full time car will be numbered #62, and the part time car will have the number #65. However, the drivers for those cars have yet to be confirmed.

Changes to the TurboSports part time schedule
Benjamin Dangerfield will cancel the picketing of Rio, handing it off to friend and fellow Canadian Max Shivilen. Alex Constantine will move his "birthday" race to Dover, his "home race".

JINX Race Development 2016 Update
"I am very happy to officially announce the filling of the seat for the #45 Part Time ride. Trey Ashby and I will fill the seat for as many races as possible for 2016. I'm really good at Road Courses as seen in the past and Trey is a short track specialist. We should be in for a good season. There still is the #15 seat to fill with minimal interest at this time. There still is time though. I'll update as soon as I know anything concrete." -Joel "JINX" Rodriguez

Spy shot confirms new number style for M2 Development, possible new sponsor?
Spies noted the 11 car was driven by Taylor Matthews, the 2013 ARLA Street Stocks East champion who has driven in NRC the last two seasons and attempted this past season's Tears TryHard 500 in addition to making a spot start for Andrea-Lynn Caldwell at Salem. It is believed Matthews, the younger sister of 2014 FARC Elite Series champion Ryan Matthews, will drive full-time in PART in 2016.
Track security quickly noticed our photographer and escorted him from the property, but not before the above photo was taken. The photog noted blue accents on the 11 car number, indicating that a long-rumored deal with Internet photography giant Instagram may be more than mere rumor.
