My thoughts on both penalties:
Bathurst: 5 minutes was a bit too harsh, but the reason for the penalty is 100% understandable. The incident could've been a catastrophe if the fire marshall didn't act quickly. I reckon being held for a lap would've been the right penalty.
Winton: The WORST penalty ever handed out in motorsport. No questions about it. Even Lowndes didn't think there should've been a penalty, & he was the one that got put off track. Crompton's outburst about it though was bloody hilarious

Chanoch Nissany's son is now racing Formula 3. He's a much better driver than his old man. That's not saying much... But Roy won a German F3 race at the Red Bull Ring, so he knows how to drive. Who knows...maybe we'll see him in Indy Lights or something. His family has the cash, although Chanoch seemed to fall off the face of the earth after his exploits with Minardi.

Imagine this: Roy Nissany vs. Louis Déletraz. Coming to a racetrack near you.

Found this picture of Gene Coleman, a Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame driver that I've watched win races at the Norway Speedway (my dad also watched him race when he was a kid) and his dirt modified from 1969. At least I think it's a modified; I haven't seen a lot of photos like this one.
