F1 2011 (Video Game) Thread

I bought it yesterday, and I have to say I was extremely impressed with how easy it was to be able to get stuck in and get on with the game. Seems like Codemasters made several gameplay improvements over the 2010 version (even though I never played 2010). Who else on here has it, and what are your thoughts on the game?

I have it on PC and So far so good. I've been having some issues with fps even though I exceed the spec recommendations. The drive ability is better is different the car feels more impacted my momentum and I tend to get a lot of wheel spin on the exit of the corners. DRS and KERS are really fun to mess with. The AI seem to be a little bit harder as well (It might be that the changed some of the options in the difficulty presets). Also again you have to have a code to play online with basically destroys the resale value. Also fuel and tire scaling has been added for the 20% and 50% races. Safety car tends to go a little too fast when under pacing. There is also an issue with black flags been throw when you spin for illegal blocking but this is normally just a warning. Also coarse cutting is more laid back. Don't get me wrong though I really like this game. Overall I say this game deserves a fair shake and a for sure buy for any F1 fan.

Pros:
Fun to play.
Improved career mod.
New car handling.
Good AI.
Looks good.

Cons:
No resale value.
Laggy FPS.
Unnecessary black flags.

I'll probably try it out, but I don't know if I'll buy it right away or not, I'm still having fun with 2010. I just hope they fixed that pit road problem. You know, where the lollipop guy would wait until EVERY CAR IN THE PITLANE left until head let you go? I lost my 4th place position at Monaco because of that glitch.

I might get it, 2010 was pretty good, so I'm thinking the same for 2011. at least it's not a CERTAIN game that had to have to be patched all to hell in order to be playable.
