I loved it when Bristol tried to do this. Sadly, the scary Larry Pearson wreck/death of track manager sealed the fate of the race.

I would love Formula One to be more like this: Harder tyres which allow you to actually use them, refuelling, no DRS, no KERS, pure driving and nothing else. And a little traction control...

You sound like you work for Goodyear, hard tyres makes racing suck, just go look at about 60% of NASCAR racesMilan655 wrote:

They got rid of that because people, well, you know, kept catching on fire.refuelling,
Kurrs is fine, no Durrs is a good idea though.no DRS, no KERS,
Or no traction control at all, because then it allows the drivers to actually drive.pure driving and nothing else. And a little traction control...

I honestly think harder tyres could make F1 somewhat more interesting.
Unfortunately, petrol is flammable
KERS in junior formulae, maybe, but not in the senior sport.
I was referring to the fact TC made a return for 2001, rather than saying that it would help improve Formula One.

Isn't KERS an idea that is essentially the same as the boost system used in Formula Palmer Audi?

Re: Racing Video/Picture Thread
With winter being around, it seems rather appropriate to post these:
I've gained some respect for Daniel Ricciardo after watching his demo run. An F1 car on black ice requires a crap ton of car control to keep it from spinning. http://wtf1.co.uk/like-a-boss-how-to-drive-an-f1-car-on-black-ice/
God, I miss the sound of those V10s:

2013 will be the final season of Formula Nippon, before it is replaced by "Super Formula". I doubt there will be much difference though.

He might actually be good, he's driving for Josef Kaufmann; legendary driver-owner, managed the likes of Gerhard Berger and Nico Hulkenberg in German F3 and FBMW. They've won Eurocup FR2.0 for the past few years, with the help of Stoffel Vandoorne and Robin Frijns-Frijns beat Jules Bianchi to last years FR3.5 title.

Clint Looks like the typical white guy trying to act "street" and failing.
Danica looks like the bad intentional parody of that.
Ricky looks like his GF dragged him there and he really didn't want to do it.
Truex actually pulls of the look quite well
