This is a photo of Richard Petty and an Angry Bobby Allison Fan, Fortunately Dale Inman is about to save the day and clock the guy out.

Re: Racing Video/Picture Thread
Anybody remember hearing this starting grid music?
Well, I just heard it during the qualifying session for the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on the NBC Sports Network!

To anyone outside the US: is this any different for this season? I don't recall NBC Sports Network showing it so far:

So I guess dirt late models can do wheelies too.
Came upon this picture one day. I heard the track got shut down a while back and will be up for auction within a couple of months. THAT is how you do a salute to the fans.

Actually, it was an overzealous Petty fan wanting an autograph, and that's Maurice with the helmet, not Dale Inman. He hit the guy, thinking he was an Allison fan wanting to go after Richard. It's said that they patched things up at the concession stand.

And to think the best National Anthem performance, also done by a guitar, was done a few weeks later.

I didn't know Adrian Newey raced cars, as well. He's certainly better at designing them:

So, Brock Beard (the YouTube starting lineups guy) made a video celebrating NASCAR's 25 years at Sonoma; they put it on the big screens around the track during pre-race festivities on Sunday. This is that video:

One of the scariest BTCC wrecks I've seen to this day.
The same guy, Russell Spence if some of you don't know got jailed for 13 months in November 2011 after being in a fraud-related chain of 9 car washes.
Re: Racing Video/Picture Thread
Russell Spence, also famed for stepping on his brakes in protestation of the failure to wave a red flag:

So Matt Crafton was turning laps in at a local dirt track in his truck car.
He ran a dirt modified in the DirtCar Nat'ls at Volusia during Daytona Speedweeks earlier this year and did okay given what little experience he has on dirt. I wouldn't be surprised if Crafton does well when the NCWTS heads to Eldora in 2 1/2 weeks.

Madhouse or not, this is one of the most despicable things I've ever seen a race car driver ever do. Hoping that for once the officials at Bowman-Gray do something sensible and ban the driver of the 02 for life from the track.
