- CESARO IS FINALLY A CHAMP!
oh and Sheamus too.
Neville being a part of the CW division might actually be a little better now. (imo it's slowly starting to pick up, mainly because Rich Swann and Jack Gallagher)
In the most predictable fashion ever, Charlotte wins back the Raw Womens 24/7 title.
and I stopped caring after that, aside from the best friends are back!... for now.

I think it makes for a much more intriguing Smackdown main. I think that's like their 2nd biggest angle on Smackdown so it makes sense. Cena vs Orton (wyatt edition) would be a rehash on all ends if they did it.PackerMan71 wrote:navycook75 wrote:I'm not so sure on that yetPackerMan71 wrote:

- i got my sources, and they actually got everything right for the Rumble aside from the universal championship match -- don't look if you don't want to be potentially spoiled on the plans for the next 3 months:
- My current pointer towards Mania is:
Jericho/Owens
Roman/Taker
Brock/Goldberg
either Jericho/Owens or Brock/Goldberg will be for the title, but apparently, as Goldberg will get the title in the main event of Fastlane.
Smackdown has it:
Miz/Dean - IC Title
Cena/Styles IV
Bray/Orton - World Title

I disagree, I thought it was a lot more effective for him to debut looking dominant, with a clear purpose and story, than to be thrown into a match he wasn't going to win with no story.

It would suck if he misses Wrestlemania for the second year in a row, especially when the Triple H angle was finally starting to pick up.

I just found it interesting that the WWE has one of the best rosters they've ever had, chock full of indy talent, and yet their average viewing audience for RAW, their flagship show, saw its lowest average ever. The fact that they're struggling just to pull in three million viewers on a weekly basis should be setting off alarm bells, but maybe that's just me.
Also, I'm a bit surprised they took the belt off Cena so soon, but they probably did that so Cena could break Flair's record at Wrestlemania, in all likelihood.

WWE is not worried about TV Ratings because:
1. They're still among the top 10 best rated cable television shows
2. Foreign markets have great audiences (just see how insane the Chile house shows were)
3. TV isn't even their main source of revenue, that's live gate and merchandise

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Pretty sure WWE made 84 Million in profit this year, with a total of 700+ million income?
The last couple years with the network, profit was way worse, like around 34 million.

Jade, the Hardys and Galloway have been confirmed.
Most that are leaving due to Impact's new payment policy (instead of receive per show taped - example, if my salary is $5,000 and I go to two days of taping, appearing in 5 episodes, I'd earn $25,000. Now I'd only receive $10,000, because TNA is paying by taping, not episode appearance.
This is a tactic to make the company stop bleeding money.) Hardys are most likely leaving due to Anthem/Jarrett disputes, or not willing to give them as much creative control as they'd like.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
It's quiet in this thread. Maybe you didn't hear WrestleMania is tomorrow?
I'm looking forward to the show personally. Some people have said it doesn't feel as exciting this year, but it's a solid lineup and I'll take that over controversy and complaining. I'm most excited for Rollins vs. Triple H, Owens vs. Jericho, and the women's matches, intrigued by what happens with Roman vs. Taker (especially with the rumors it may be Taker's last match and it could go on last), and hoping that AJ vs. Shane and Brock vs. Goldberg will be good for what they are.

- Spoiler:
- I think Mojo Rawley won the battle royal because Rob Gronkowski was there, and they're pretty good friends, so I guess the WWE thought it'd be some good exposure to have a player from the defending Super Bowl champions in the ring with one of their top prospects. That'd be my guess.
As for Roman going over the Undertaker, I'm not sure it was a good idea, because all it's gonna do is put NUCLEAR heat on Roman for a long time to come, because he's now gonna be known as the guy who retired the Undertaker, and considering he's the most hated wrestler in the WWE right now, that could be a stigma he may never shake again.
But...
The WWE could capitalize on the nuclear heat Roman is sure to receive if they do one simple thing: turn Roman heel. If they have him come out tonight all cocky and acting like a douchebag about how he beat the Undertaker at WrestleMania, he would become the most over heel in the company, and quite possibly the entire world, and the possibilities the WWE have with that are endless. But if they keep him face, which based on recent history is more likely, then in my opinion, it's a failure, because they may have ruined Roman's chances of ever getting over as a face ever again.
But I guess we'll see what happens tonight.
