Actually most likely Billy Corgan will secure the majority of shares of TNA. So no, WWE is not buying TNA.

Makes sense to me, seeing as how that would add a great deal to their library footage on people like AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, Samoa Joe, Sting, & Kurt Angle. Plenty of DVD/Network potential with that.

- So Sasha vs. Charlotte. The finish was surprising and disappointing, but I felt that it was a great, brutal, match. So glad they got this huge opportunity, and it's really cool to see how the women are continuing to evolve and change their perception in wrestling.
Rest of the show was pretty good too. How are you guys liking the brand split? I know hardcores seem to be pretty much shored up with SmackDown, but I have to admit I haven't been the biggest fan of all their decisions with it. Raw has its problems and the handicap of its length, but I honestly am still enjoying it the most with its stars and match quality.

- I watched the show tonight and i might be in the minority on this but i thought the show was top to bottom pretty bad. I felt Sasha vs Charlotte was a slow plodding mess that was badly booked from the get-go and ended on a botched finish. I wasn't excepting this to be a full car crash blood feud but man even giving fairness for the "1st time ever" i didn't like that match.
I think tonight was my 1st PPV since mania, and it might be till next Mania till i give raw another shot.

The Women's match was alright, the beginning was dumb and I legit thought that they would use Sasha getting hurt as a way to say "THEY MAIN EVENTED AND WAS (kinda) INSIDE THE CELL" as the worst cop out ever.
I'm still salty over the finish, and I hope it's a botch and gets reversed or something tonight because I'm tired of the Raw womens title being a hot potato.
The PPV wasn't that great, Kendrick winning the Cruiserweight title and Jericho getting in the Cell were the only parts I liked.

FOR WHAT REASON did Charlotte win?! This is the second time this year that they have Sasha win the title on an episode of Raw, and then lose it at a Pay-Per-View. Happened at SummerSlam, now it happened again. How is it that Smackdown can book TWO women's feuds better than Raw can book one?

- I get why they did it at Summerslam because Sasha needed time off because of an injury, but Hell in a Cell is confusing, probably to keep up her undefeated streak which is dumb because HIAC was the best way to end it.
Because A. Smackdown has a former NXT writer, and B. the womens division on Raw is hurting worse than NXT's (Paige is suspended, injured, and probably not coming back, Summer Rae is injured, Nia and Foxy have been off tv for some dumb reason, Emma has yet to return, and Tamina is injured (even though she is undrafted)).
I want to get off Mr. Raw's Wild Ride.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
- Spoiler:
- I kinda regret watching that. Owens/Rollins was good, Sasha/Charlotte was decent with a lot of wtf booking mistakes.
Smackdown really has been more enjoyable, because everyone feels built up. THEY HAVE SLATER AND RHYNO AS THE TAG CHAMPS AND MAKES COMPLETE SENSE.
AJ is the top guy in this business, Ambrose is good, his promos sometimes are really good, and this whole thing with James Ellsworth is good TV. Alexa is probably breakout star of the year and my personal favorite.
These writers have made Nikki Bella, someone who was getting X-Pac Heat into someone likeable. Talking Smack is amazing, only complaint would be the tag division and the midcard, cause i really don't like this Corbin/Swagger stuff.
Raw isn't like that, is it the time? Booking? Combination (the most likely)? I just can't stay up until 12 just to watch a raw, and from what I've heard it ain't pretty. Remember the first Raw of the NEW ERA. That was a fucking show.
Like Leckliter said, did Nia Jax die? She hasn't been on tv in almost 2! months.
Re: The Wrestling Thread
I can't deny SmackDown's got some good ideas and booking that would really improve Raw, but for whatever reason I honestly just can't get into it. Raw just keeps me hooked with more of the stars I like and the decent, longer matches.
I know I'm in the minority, but I'm okay with that, and I'm glad there's another alternative out there for the fans of WWE in particular.

I loved Hell in a Cell, I don't know if it was because I didn't touch the internet until the end of it, so my opinion was molded by myself, but I enjoyed every second of it (it may also help I'm the closest to a full-fledged casual than smarky so everything people shit on for being "marky" I end up loving, I pay more attention to the story than the match).
About the SmackDown v Raw thing. If I didn't have to wake up everyday 5:30 AM I would religiously watch Raw, however since Raw ends 1:00-1:15 AM it is unworkable. SmackDown is more easier for me to follow since it ends at midnight, SmackDown in on the good ol' filler arc with the Ambrose/Styles/Ellsworth thing, I am pretty sure since Survivor Series is coming, and TLC is still a bit more than a month away, this feud is just a autopilot thing until the SS buildup gets bigger, still, they have been actually caring about how it's going, so it does not feel like a filler story. A thing I'm seeing with WWE is that the writers try to do a good show, they have great intentions, but the people on top modify the product more than it should've been modified, then it ends in a lackluster build/conclusion.

Summer Rae has been cleared to compete for a while. Nia Jax and Alicia Fox have been filler on Superstars (although Nia Jax is on Raw as we speak).
Also, I'd like to think yesterdays results was to keep perfect/imperfect records.
Charlotte's PPV Championship match record: 12-0 (15-1 including NXT Womens Championship and Takeovers)
Sasha Banks's PPV Championship match record: 0-4 (2-7 including NXT Womens Championship and Takeovers)

Re: The Wrestling Thread
I think it's safe to say Monday Night RAW is in deep shit.
Last week, RAW got a 2.01 rating... no holiday.
This week, we knew it would take a hit with it being Halloween, but man, it's getting bad for RAW. This week, it got a 1.88 rating, the second lowest rating its had since the 90s.
If this isn't setting off alarm bells, I don't know what will.

Nikki is the captain because since the Champion can lose her title in just a week in Glasgow, putting either Becky or Bliss as team captain before that title match would make no sense.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
IT'S THE SURVIIIIIIIVOR SERIEEEEEEES! And it feels like a much more legit "Big Four" show than it has in years.
Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg in "Fantasy Warfare", because let's face it, nobody wants to remember their first match. Sounds like Goldberg got hurt beating up the security guards on Raw, so there might be even more smoke and mirrors than there were already going to be. Brock winning is the only choice that makes sense.
Owens, Reigns, Rollins, Jericho, and Strowman vs. Styles, Ambrose, Bray, Orton, and Shane. I just hope Ellsworth doesn't show his face too much (unpopular opinion, but I'm not a fan of him, and the rumor that he might get a contract.) and take away from what should be a fun match. I think this one could go either way but I'm leaning towards SmackDown.
Charlotte, Sasha, Bayley, Nia, and Alica vs. Becky, Nikki, Alexa, Naomi, and Carmella. Raw seems to be a safe pick for this one with how often they talk about the Revolution (Another unpopular opinion: That really doesn't bother me that much.) Make Becky look good and have Bayley and/or Sasha survive and I won't have many complaints.
New Day, Gallows and Anderson, Enzo and Cass, Cesaro and Sheamus, and Primo and Epico vs. Heath Slater and Rhyno, American Alpha, The Usos, Hype Bros, and Breezango. This will be a clusterfuck. Not sure about this one either, but I think either it'll finally be AA's breakout moment or NewDayWinsLol.
Brian Kendrick vs. Kalisto for the Cruiserweight Title and Division?! I think Kalisto is winning this one for that 205 Live synergy. Sucks that they never gave them a fair chance on Raw.
Miz vs. Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Title. This one's kind of interesting- If Kalisto wins some people suggested Raw should get this title in exchange, but it just feels weird to have both midcard titles on one show to me. Also, it seems to me that this is probably setting up Sami going to SmackDown. So either he wins the title and signs with them, or loses and gets fired, then jumps ship.
Oh, and it's funny that Ziggler doesn't even end up in the match he laid down the challenge for.
If you're honestly still not interested in that- TakeOver's this Saturday as well!
Nakamura vs. Joe for the title
Asuka vs. Mickie James! for the Women's Title
Revival vs. Gargano and Ciampa, Best of 3 Falls for the Tag Titles
Authors of Pain vs. TM61 in the finals of the Dusty Classic with Paul Ellering in a shark cage- It's both a throwback and a toy ad!

Hopefully Nakamura is getting called up though, and Joe's not going to feud with hin for nine months like Finn.

- Survivor Series:
- I missed most of the show, came in around the Kendrick/Kalisto match. I thought the match was really good, but the ending was trash.
The Men's 5 on 5 was fantastic. There were a lot of great spots in there, Ellsworth screwing Braun and then getting FUCKING DESTROYED for his troubles, The Shield mini-reunion, Owens bashing Styles with the list, and the ending was great too. Based Luke Harper making an appearance doesn't hurt either.
Goldberg/Lesnar...AHAHAHAHAHAHA! FUCK YOU BROCK!That was a satisfying match for me. Watching Brock get destroyed in 90 seconds or so was absolutely splendid, especially as I've grown to hate Brock Lesnar after this year. Thanks Goldberg!
And also, I didn't see much of Takeover, but it will be a fucking travesty if the Revival don't get called up soon. Legit the best tag team in NXT right now.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
- Spoiler:
- Women's Match: Not surprised RAW won, some of the eliminations were weird. Like Charlotte beating 2 with a big boot, Nia taping out to Becky.
Miz beating Zayn was really surprising, after taking it off Dolph, for a Heel/Face match, decent match.
Tag Team SS: Man, that was something, Cesaro/Sheamus and the Usos were amazing, New Day losing that early was shocking, Club beating American Alpha.
Kalisto I knew was losing after Miz's win, but that was a weird stipulation, and Baron Corbin Indy killer kinda made no sense.
The Men's SS match was really really good, Strowman killing Ellsworth, the SHIELD reunion, KO destroying the LIST, Randy sacrificing himself, BRAY WON A FUCKING PPV MATCH.
PLEASE SHANE DON'T WRESTLE ANYMORE, YOU ALMOST DIED.
And for the main event, oh.. wait what
OMG WHAT
WHAT
WHAT
OMFG GOLDBERG.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Went to NXT in Sydney last night. Sat ringside next to the aisle but was about 15 seats away from the aisle, so I didn't the wrestlers until they entered the ring.
They had a poll running before the show on which classic NXT match the crowd wanted to see highlights of, and a JINDER MAHAL match won. The first NXT Championship match between him and Seth Rollins was shown.
Curtain jerker match was Akira Tozawa vs. Andrade 'Cien' Almas. Unfortunately some loud arseholes behind me kept chanting 'Del Rio' and 'Nakamura' at the two (they later chanted "We are awesome" incase you're wondering how arsehole-ish these guys were). The two guys in the wrong put on an amazing match to start the night with.
Followed up was Iconic (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) vs. Liv Morgan and Aliyah. Iconic got great heel heat when they asked to be billed from Orlando (for those that don't know, they're both Sydney born). At the start of the match, the crowd sang the national anthem to remind Iconic on where they're from. A couple of people also started to sing the American anthem as well, with one other person chanting "O Canadaaaaa" to the delight of Aliyah (who's from Toronto). Iconic got the win, and ended up applauding and posing for the crowd.
3rd match was Wesley Blake vs. Oney Lorcan. Oney is an absolute madman. Oney picked up a pretty quick victory, but was interrupted by a 10/10 promo by Patrick Clark. Oney agreed to 2nd match and beat Clark in a minute.
4th match was THE GREATEST TEAM EVER IN THE HISTORY OF EVERYTHING THE LIVING PROOF THAT THEY ARE NOT ONE BUT TWO GODS THE REVIVAL vs DIY for the Tag Team titles. These two teams yet again but on a ***** match. I could honsetly watch a best of 1001 series between the two and never get bored. DIY retained, sadly.
After the intermission TM61 wrestled a solid match against Tino Sabotelli and Riddick Moss. Nothing to spectacularly to write home about this match, but TM61 did wake the crowd up after the break.
Co-main event was Asuka vs. Ember Moon for the title. Their first TV match (which I'm guessing will be Takeover: Houston) is going to BE LIT FAM if this match is any indicator. MOTN for me and a lot of other people said the same thing.
Main event was disappointing from the start. The original advertisement said a Fatal 4-way title match with Roode and Tye included, but unfortunately we got a 6-man tag instead, with Elias Samson, Bobby Roode, and Samoa Joe vs. Buddy Murphy, Tye Dillinger, and Shinsuke Nakamura. WWE needs to capatlise on Samson's nuclear XPac heat, the entire crowd was giving him so much heat and boos during his entire promo and singing, all the way until he was interrup-GLORIOUS NO I WON'T GIVE IN I WON'T GIVE IN UNTIL I'M VICTORIOUS. The match was pretty slow and drawn out, and it was very oblivious that Joe had an injury, as he didn't much, not even a Big Boy to my despair. Shinsuke ended the match with KINSASSSHHHAAAA to Samson.
Overall, it was still a fun night, and worth getting in trouble with work for skipping a shift.
