In case anyone wants it for their Lime Rock entries, this is the Tiffany Matthews memorial decal the Matthews Motorsports cars are running this season.

I meant a screencap review :s. I thought text was screencap....yeahh lolPackerMan71 wrote:Joshua Michaels wrote:(OOC: Packer, can you race SB and send it to me with the track + cars? and will it be alright if I do a text review?)
I would prefer if it wasn't a text review. If a video is a bit tedious, try doing a screencap review instead.

News From Empire Racing
"We have decided that it would be more fitting if Ryan Matthews were to drive his late wife's #16. We of course still have it reserved for this race but are more than willing to let the team that Ryan will drive for have it to put him in that number. As for the Third Empire Truck entry, We'll switch it to being the #84 to make it fit with the other two. More news and updates once decided." - Empire Racing Board Press Release

Tiffany Matthews Memorial: Focus Autosports Announces One-Off Entrant
Adding to the many teams that will be entering one-off trucks in the upcoming Tiffany Matthews Memorial, Focus Autosports, the team that currently fields the #37 Lycoia of Vincenzo Fochesato, will be entering a second truck in the race. 20-year-old Irish/American Aubrey Wood will attempt her first ARLA race in the recently-announced over-capacity event.
Wood, an Irish-born resident of Flint, Michigan, has a very short racing history of Formula 500 and 4-cylinders stock cars. According to Vincenzo Fochesato, he recognized her name from Formula 500 races at Michigan's Waterford Hills Road Raceway. When attending a race at the Owosso Speedway to watch his father race modifieds, he saw her name on the entry list for that night's 4-cylinder race, and after watching her "drive the wheels off her car" to win that race, he made her an offer to drive the team's late model in local short track events.
Although Wood's first race weekend for the team has yet to come, Fochesato is already giving her a shot at ARLA, perhaps a questionable decision based on her lack of full-size stock car experience.

Luc Pellerin's debut goes decent
The TM Canada racer & part-time Formula Overdrive competitor finished 18th, 2 laps.
Pellerin : We'll i wish we could be faster like Spires, Gott, etc... but nice clean debut for me. Hopefully the LRD crew has a great run with Cade & M.Brinson at Limerock

- Fochesato Lines Up in Wrong Lane for the Restart
On the restart of the lap 81 caution in the Lone Star 200 presented by Strickland Propane, Vincenzo Fochesato, driver of the #37 Lycoia, lined up behind race leader Zach Gott on the outside line, even though he had been put a lap down just before the caution.
"I thought that we were on the tail end of the lead lap, and thought that Megan (Driver) was the leader, and that the 71 was another lapped car." said the rookie, "But there's absolutely no excuse for me doing something like that. I feel like a complete imbecile! I owe an apology to Megan Driver and anyone else whose race I may have affected."
When asked about the loss of communication, Vincenzo's spotter/team-owner/father, Giuseppe, said that he had left his post during the yellow to get a hot dog from the concessions, and due to an obnoxiously long waiting line, was unable to make it back before the race resumed.
Vincenzo's crew chief was unaware of his mistake until after the restart.
The #37 truck was scored as finishing the race one lap down in 12th place, but penalties are expected.

TMPedia page for Texas is up.
-------------------------------------------------
Texas Penalties (even though they aren't really penalties, per se... ):
#37 - VINCENZO FOCHESATO - FOCUS AUTOSPORTS
Penalty: Warning
Reason: Improper Restart
#25 - STEVEN FISCHER - MIDWEST PRIDE RACING
Penalty: Warning
Reason: Contact with Truck #17 under caution
#17 - PATRICK JOHANNSON - RED WING RACING
Penalty: Warning

OFFICIALS WARN DRIVERS 37, 17, & 25, CHANGE THE TITLE OF THE LIME ROCK EVENT IN LIGHT OF CRITICISM
In what would be the most competitive event of the 2013 ATATS season so far, the officials would hand warnings to Vincenzo Fochesato, Patrick Johannson, and Steven Fischer for various infractions during the race.
Fochesato had lined up in the outside lane during the race's one and only restart while a lap down. Since it was determined that it was a simple miscommunication between Fochesato and his spotter, and since this was a first time offense, Fochesato was let off with a warning.
Coming to the caution, Steven Fischer ran into the back of Patrick Johannson causing Johannson to brush the wall, then came down the track and into Fischer. Both were called to race control for this incident. Upon further review, it appeared that Johannson had slowed up for the lapped truck of Tommy Ashby, and Steven Fischer was simply not expecting the 17 to slow so suddenly. Because of this, both drivers were let off with just a warning.
In addition, series director Eric Derenberger made an announcement after race regarding the Tiffany Matthews Memorial at Lime Rock Park.
ERIC DERENBERGER: Due to some of the negative reaction we have received about not honoring the other drivers who lost their lives at Texas last year, and with some input from the fans, especially those at Lime Rock, we have decided to rename the event from the Tiffany Matthews Memorial to the Hanmore Tiffany Matthews Memorial. The fans wanted Tiffany's name to remain in the title, and at the same time, Keaton, Lautenschlager, Sting, and Kreamer will be honored as well with Hanmore in the title.

Another little note here: If you have entries for Lime Rock, I would like to start receiving them sooner rather than later. I will be sending the Grand Detour race to Metro 6r4 in the not-so-distant future, and once that race is posted, you will have exactly ONE WEEK TO GET YOUR ENTRIES IN. IF I DON'T HAVE A TRUCK OR RATINGS, YOUR ENTRY WILL BE REMOVED. NO EXCEPTIONS. LIKE DAYTONA, IF YOU'VE SENT IN ONE OR THE OTHER, I WILL GIVE YOU ONE EXTRA DAY TO GET YOUR STUFF IN.
That is all.
That is all.

Breaking News! RGE Racing & LRD Merge
News broke today that RGE Racing & Lucstar's Racing Development are merging. This will not effect LRD's main team Lucstar Motorsports.
The team will still race in the ATATS with Cade Taylor, Luc Pellerin & M.Brinson splitting the #88. In the one-offs, it will supply for the #888 (Depending on who's in the 88) & the 404 with Joshua Micheals & possibly develop in Dash Cup in 2014.
The team will be named RGE Motorsports Development.

Hanmore sends C&D to ATATS director
Hanmore Industries, presenting sponsor of Hanmore Formula Overdrive, has sent a cease & desist notice to ARLA Tornado Alley Truck Series director Eric Derenberger, ordering ATATS officials to remove the Hanmore name from the title of the upcoming Tiffany Matthews Memorial.
Hanmore representatives claimed that the use of the company's name in the race's title was unauthorized, and that the company wants nothing to do with the race whatsoever.

FABRICATORS 100 PRE-RACE REPORT: ATATS SERIES DIRECTOR DROPS PIPEBOMB ON HANMORE
The controversy surrounding the Tiffany Matthews Memorial at Lime Rock Park was turned up a notch when Hanmore issued a cease-and-desist order on the ARLA Tornado Alley Truck Series, ordering them to remove their name from the title of the race, stating that their name was used without authorization. There are rumors that Hanmore may have also had a hand in the axing of the Hanmore Memorial GP, which was scheduled to be the season finale for Dash Cup at the same venue. Instead, Dash Cup will return to the New York Autoring for their 2013 finale.
When series director Eric Derenberger learned of this, he was furious, to say the least. After happy hour practice had concluded for the FABricators 100, in which Focus Autosports driver Vincenzo Fochesato won his first career pole, Derenberger made his feelings known about Hanmore's C&D in a press conference 15 minutes after the trucks pulled off the track.
ERIC DERENBERGER: I've been very frustrated with the amount of controversy and negativity surrounding the Tiffany Matthews Memorial race at Lime Rock Park in 8 days time. We've made a couple of changes to the event itself. First off, we have complied with Hanmore's decision and have removed their name from the title of the event, which I will get to momentarily, because I REALLY want to talk about that. Secondly, after talking with drivers, teams, and owners over the past few days, we have decided to shrink the length of the race a little bit so it will be a lot less costly for the teams. Instead of 116 laps, the race will be 116 miles, which will shrink the race 116 to 76 laps, which should make things a lot more managable for all the teams that will be showing up for this event.
Now, as far as the C&D from Hanmore is concerned, in my eyes, it was probably the most classless and tasteless action they could've ever taken. We realized that in naming this event the Tiffany Matthews Memorial, we had, in effect, left out the other four drivers, Keaton, Kreamer, Sting, and Lautenschlager, who had also lost their lives in that Texas race, so in order to ensure that their memory would be honored in this race as well as Tiffany's, we decided, with some suggestion from the fans and Lime Rock Park promoters, to rename the event the Hanmore Tiffany Matthews Memorial, similar to Dash Cup's Hanmore Memorial GP that would've been held at the same track at the end of the season, but it is my understanding that they have removed the event from their schedule, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Hanmore had their smelly fingers on that decision, too.
My main problem with this decision is that Hanmore was basically snubbing the five drivers who had lost their lives in the premier event of Formula Overdrive that THEY SPONSORED, and this C&D that they issued ultimately proves what a joke of a company Hanmore is. I don't even know what business they're in, and after this crap, I don't want to know. As far as I'm concerned, that company is run by a bunch of toolbags, and this C&D exemplifies that. It's classless, egotistical, and downright shameful, and the fact that they're still sponsoring Formula Overdrive is an even bigger joke. Yes, FO really needs the money, and they're starting to come into their own, but if Hanmore was the title sponsor of ARLA, I would not even be here right now. I apologize to the families of the drivers who lost their lives at Texas, but there isn't anything I can do about this. Hanmore, as far as I'm concerned, you can all go straight to hell, and that's all I'm gonna say on the subject.
As far as Jen Walker's comment on Twitter, Derenberger had this to say...
DERENBERGER: Let me put it to you this way. That tweet is coming from a person who thought a zero-point DNF rule was a good idea, and we all saw how that turned out. This is the same person who thinks that green-white-checkered finishes and flying starts should be a part of Elite Series races. You what we call those? Gimmicks. And the issue I have with racing gimmicks is that they tend to be more trouble than they're worth. The DNF rule last year is indicative of that, and before this season began, the rule was axed. That's all that needs to be said. Thank you all for your time, and I hope you enjoy the FABricators 100 tomorrow and the Tiffany Matthews Memorial next week. And if anyone has any ideas to a new name for the race, so that the other four drivers are not left out, I'm all ears.

Grand Detour is almost done. If I send the video file to someone, would they mind doing the commentary. Sorry it took a while, I went on holiday for a bit.

Update on me:
Got a new computer, but FRAPS still won't do a lot.
Should I do a text review, or record with my 3DSXL? (I will mute the audio for the 3DS and commentate over it)
Plus I got SOBO2007 as well, and ASA Speed Trucks (I'm using it for my other series as well)

I'm not. Fraps/Crapicam won't do the work. ZD Soft won't either.

It's the only thing I have that can record my screen. I have already done two races with it. (5 in total, 3 of them are still in editing)navycook75 wrote:but using a 3ds? that's like using a jackahammer to paint a wall.Joshua Michaels wrote:navycook75 wrote:please tell me you are joking.Joshua Michaels wrote:Update on me:

- Spoiler:
- Bell pleased with 8th place
Scott Bell was happy after getting yet another top 10 in the FABricators 100 at Grand Detour.
"i'm happy that we we're able to get another top 10. I think we could do even better in our later starts."
Re: 2013 ARLA Tornado Alley Truck Series (Rockford 100 Posted!)
(OOC: Foh-keh-sah-toh. It's okay, it's really hard to pronounce! )
- Spoiler:
- Fochesato Scores Top-5 at Quincy
Italian/American Vincenzo Fochesato had a career-best day at the Grand Detour Raceway in his first visit to the Quincy, Illinois short track.
After starting on pole position, Fochesato would remain in the top-5 for the whole race, coming home in 4th at the end of the day. This was also the first top-5 finish in ARLA for the family-owned Grand Rapids, Michigan-based team, Focus Autosports.
"First and foremost, I hope everyone's okay. There were some nasty wrecks out there today." said the rookie, "But otherwise, I had a blast! This is a really fun racetrack! I still haven't figured out how to pass here yet, so I was pretty psyched when we got the pole. There have been a few drivers who have really stood out from the rest this year like (Samantha) Spires, (Zach) Gott, (Barry) Spengler, (Megan) Driver, and (Jeremy) Baker, and I knew it was only a matter of time before they would get to the front."
Sure enough, Fochesato was passed for the lead by Spengler's Saar Nebraska shortly after the second restart.
"I knew he was faster than me, but he made a really good pass that I wasn't expecting, and I got trapped on the outside for a couple of laps. We kind of got a free spot when (Billy) Heffernan spun, but either way, a 4th place finish is fantastic!"
The finish moves Fochesato's #37 Lycoia Rebel up to 8th place in the points standings, heading into the over-capacity Memorial 2013 @ Lime Rock.
"This was only our 4th race in the series, and if we can figure out how to get just a little more speed, I know we'll be in victory lane soon!"

Empire Racing on Grand Detour Result
"Finally. This team finally has broken into the top ten as we should have been running every week. We've had a rough season so far until now. Congrats to Miss Driver on the win with a great drive. We also want to apologize for the big wreck caused by John. We are still committed to having John Castillo finish the season out for us and hopefully help us improve and get ready for 2014. We're excited for Lime Rock as we have our 3rd truck showing up and Rodriguez anxious to get road racing. See you all in CT." -Empire Board of Directors
"I'm really sorry to the #15 hindsight being 20/20, I feel like I could've waited a bit more and make the clean pass. I let my emotions get the best of me and caused the big one. I hope everyone is okay." -John "Big Foot" Castillo
