- Spoiler:
- Cade Taylor finishes 15th in debut
Taylor : We had a clean, decent race but man i would'of love to challenge for a top-10 but we finished where we finished & i'm cool with that
Lucstar88 : Great run by Taylor in the #88 Taylor Candy, LRD, Lycola, hopefully we could improve to a top-10 at Manhattan

(I probably should've said this earlier, but the "ch" in Fochesato is pronounced like a k.
Also, 100th post!!!
Also, 100th post!!!
- Spoiler:
- Vincenzo Fochesato: We were running in 7th or 8th early on, and I moved to the outside to pass the 27 car (Seth Wesley), fell back, and never recovered. We may not have had a good points day, but we still finished this race in one piece and on the lead lap! I was afraid that the big jam-up (Bubba) Barwell and (Joseph) Austin created would cause a huge crash. Hopefully Manhattan will be better for us!

Can I do South Boston? I'll try todo a mix of crap to make the FPS at least 10+. Maybe get the Clip Speed faster...I don't know, but I would really like to record a race, at least.

Empire Racing Press Release @ Daytona
Empire Racing Press Conference[b]
"We here at Empire Inc. are quite dissappointed with our drivers' unacceptable finishes. At first we here at Empire Inc. were ready to blame the drivers directly, but after reviewing notes and race footage, we came to the conclusion that the whole team is at fault here. Straight off the haulers the trucks weren't exactly fast. Surprisingly, our drivers managed to get some speed in qualifying with a 12th and 15th place grid positions. During the race, Our drivers showed their ability to drive. They ran up towards the front and showed true potential. Then, due to big mistakes on pit road, our drivers were unable to make up the lost time. While back at the shop, we noticed that the truck research and development pathing were actually not set properly to run these big speedways. After some delegation, Empire Inc. has decided to retain our drivers, pit crew, and in shop staff. We look forward to showing our true speed and potential later this year at the other tracks. We'll see you at the next track." - Empire Inc. Board of Directors Spokesman
John Castillo on Daytona
"I am actually quite pleased with my 12th place qualifying run and 13th place finish. We could have had a top 10 or even a top 5 finish if it weren't for the mistakes on our last pit stop. I am excited to get on the track over the rest of the season. I believe we can get great runs over the full season, maybe even a win." - #85 John "Big Foot" Castillo
JINX Rodriguez on Daytona Result
"That was unbelievably fun. I can't wait until South Boston to get my next start in this thing. My qualifying run in 15th was a surprise due to the lack of speed we showed in practice and the fact that the truck doesn't have a very good aero setup. I do think that Johnny and I had the best handling trucks out there though. Even though the trucks were a bit slow, I managed to work with Johnny well and bring them up to the front. We had a bit of confusion on pit road as I was asking for two tires but the crew wanted to give me four and then got confused. We'll work on that for next race. In all honesty, I'm excited to see what kind of run we can get on the other tracks in the season that require a little more chassis setup than just rely on truck speed. I wish Johnny and the rest of the field good luck next race and hope to see you all on the track at South Boston. Good luck next race everyone!" - #86 Jinx Rodriguez

Baker okay with 3rd place
Linandale Racing driver Jeremy Baker feels he could've had a shot at victory on the last lap of the Atlant-X 150 at Daytona, but either ways feels fine and confident about his 3rd place finish, "Even though I felt like I cost myself a shot at the win on the final lap, I feel happy with my finishing position of 3rd. Hopefully it will be a big momentum boost for me and maybe I could contend for the championship this year if we can drive a very competitive truck to the front every race."

Jacob Walls: "It wasn't a perfect weekend, but we qualified 25th, and finished two spots ahead of that, so we did pretty well. I think the pit stop strategy kinda mixed everything up, and maybe we didn't pit at the right times, so we ended up alone on the racetrack. But bringing the truck home in one piece from Daytona is always an accomplishment, so there's that."
Owner Mark Mummert: "It's gonna be a process. Luckily, I don't think there are anymore restrictor plate tracks to run on, so our pit strategy, which wasn't good, and I put that on myself, won't be so critical in the future. But we finished 23rd after starting 25th, so it's always good to finish better than where you started. Also happy that the truck will go back on the trailer the same way it came off, so our wallet won't take a big hit."

Cade Taylor's post-race comments
Cade : Well, I finished 17th out of 23 trucks, 2 laps down, so not the day we needed after Daytona, but i'm really lucky to miss the wreck between the 74 & 76, after stomping the brakes, and probably hurt the truck. That's pretty much it.
The 21 year-old TMMC IT candidate will not run the 3rd round @ Texas, 18 year-old rookie Luc Pellerin will run the 1st of 3 races.

Empire Inc. on a Quiet Day
"We had a long day. I didn't get much in the way of action since I didn't have the best handling truck out there. I think it was a good learning experience though even though we couldn't get much going with a quiet 12th place qualifying run and 13th place finish to stay 13th in points. Eventually we'll get the truck right and get something going." -John "Big Foot" Castillo
Empire Inc. Reflects
"We here at Empire are excited that we're getting decent qualifying and finishing results but we're still off of our set targets. We feel that this year will yeild a good result overall but just can't wait to start running better. We are constantly researching new improvements and with JINX Inc.'s Engines there is one less thing to worry about. We're confident in the motors and feel that once we get the setup right, we'll show the true potential of those JINX motors." -Board of Directors at Empire Inc.

After being released from the infield care center this is what Cobb had to say, "Well I'm okay that was a really big crash but, I think we'll be able to race next week. I was hoping to put on a better showing in front of my home crowd but I guess we'll just have to move on and try to get over our rookie slump."

LONE STAR 200 PRE-RACE REPORT: POSSIBLE PRE-SEASON EXHIBITION TOUR IN 2014, POSSIBLE DATE AT LONG BEACH?
During the pre-race festivities for the third round of the 2013 ARLA Tornado Alley Truck Series season, the Lone Star 200 @ Texas Motor Speedway, series director Eric Derenberger made a surprising announcement regarding the 2014 season.
DERENBERGER: We've been in discussions with several venues in California about putting together an exhibition series before the start of the 2014 season. We're also in talks about a possible companion event with V8 Champ Car at Long Beach next year. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but talks are on-going.

LONE STAR 200 PRE-RACE REPORT #2: 13TH RACE ADDED TO THE 2013 SCHEDULE: LIME ROCK PARK, WITH A SPECIAL TWIST
Continuing with his pre-race press conference before the Lone Star 200 @ Texas Motor Speedway, Eric Derenberger made another startling announcement regarding the 2013 season.
DERENBERGER: We are pleased to announce that after much discussion over the past several weeks, we will be holding the inaugural Tiffany Matthews Memorial at Lime Rock Park on April 27th, the day after Tiffany's birthday. The race will be 116 laps long, due to Mrs. Matthews driving #116 last year in the ARLA Elite Series. In addition, this will become the third crown jewel on the ATATS schedule, along with Daytona and Rockford. This means that it will be a one-off event, and teams not already on the full and part time rosters are invited to this event. We look forward to this event becoming a new tradition in the ARLA Tornado Alley Truck Series.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
(OOC: Any parties interested in signing up for this event may do so here. There's no definite due date as of right now, but it will be roughly 1 week AFTER the Grand Detour race is posted.)

Another Elite Series Driver Interested in Lime Rock
Trey Ashby, a rookie in the Arla Elite Series, has confirmed he will attempt to take part in the Tiffany Matthews Memorial Event at Lime Rock. Ashby said his reason for entering was this "Since I'm Kellan's boyfriend, I kind of want to race in the memorial event for her sister since i'm kind of part of the family right now."
Ashby would be driving alongside his dad for Nitro Racing in an all black #83 truck in honor of Tiffany if he is accepted. His dad currently drives the #82 STEEL Enterprises Truck for Nitro Racing.

Ike Durbin, Inc. to Run Lime Rock
In 2009, Ike Durbin made his major league racing debut in what was then known as the ARLA Thunder Trucks series. One year later, he bought the equipment from the team, who was shutting their truck program down, and so began Ike Durbin, Inc. Matthias McMair drove for their team in their first season, failing to qualify for several events in what was a struggle of a season. After shutting down their Thunder Truck program after 2011 to focus on their other operations, it seems that Durbin and McMair will re-enter the series for a single race, the tribute race at Lime Rock.
McMair, who had a very successful European Dash Cup campaign in a limited effort for the team last season, returned to midwest late model racing in 2013. This will mark his first start in something other than a late model in 2013-and his only planned race outside of late models.
While some details haven't been announced, team owner Ike Durbin did elaborate on some of them. "Ike Durbin, Inc. will return to the league where it all started. Of course the name is different, but the series is still the same. We will be running a tribute scheme for the Lime Rock race. We are working on it right now. If we get an okay, we are going to run our own chassis, along with engines. We were hoping to be able to run the 17 like it always was, but since that is occupied, we will likely run a letter-number mix with 17 in it, officially entered as another number. I'm very happy to have Matthias driving the truck. He was my frost driver in the truck series, and even though the trucks were among the slowest in the field, he stuck around. I'm proud to have him driving it.'
As Durbin had stated, number and chassis care currently up in the air, but he has said they will run Lime Rock.

Tiffany Matthews Memorial Race
Empire Racing announces intentions for Lime Rock
"We here at Empire will of course be there with the #85 truck as it is the full time truck. The #86 will be joining him as Rodriguez would like to pay tribute to Matthews as well as return to a track he knows very well. We here at Empire Inc. would also like to field a third one-off truck just for this race. The driver has yet to be decided as we have yet to receive a reply from the primary choice. We are requesting to acquire the #16 in honor of the Femme Fatal Racer."- Empire Inc. Board Representative

Joshua Michaels getting his gear ready
Previous Daytona one-off entry, Joshua Michaels, will try to race at Lime Rock in his still unsponsored 04 Lycoia.
Joshua says on the subject: "I wanted to have Jeeroy Lenkins Chicken Coop as a sponsor...but didn't feel like it just yet". Joshua is now driving to Limerock to do some pre-race testing.
(OOC: I'm second guessing my choice of trying to film a race...It'll be something like this:
Framerate, wise. I mean.)
(OOC2: If you want, you can send me South Boston now, so I can do that race. I'll probably do a text review, and the last 10 laps filmed.)

Team CTR Announces Three Entries for Tiffany Matthews Memorial
Team CTR, the "big brother" of ATATS team Stafford Race Engineering, announced that they will contest the Tiffany Matthews Memorial at Lime Rock Park.
They have entered three trucks, which will be sponsored by the upstart FC New Haven soccer team. #26 will be driven by TM Lights and ASCC driver Joe Olenick. #96 will be driven by WSCEC regular Sebastien Dubois. Finally, #46 will be driven by none other than Ryan Matthews, husband of the late Tiffany Matthews.
SRE has agreed to furnish engines for the CTR effort, and Team CTR principal Tom Bennett said in a press release:
"We're honored to not only be taking part in the Tiffany Matthews Memorial, but to do so with Ryan Matthews by our side. We have tremendous respect for Ryan, and we are going to do everything we can to get him, Joe and Sebastien into the show and into Victory Lane."

Second RGE Racing Announcement
The RGE Development Program has closed, so Joshua Michaels will be running in the RGE Racing team. And for Lime Rock and for Rockford, they will be supplying him with the 2011 RGEV8A Engine. They will have testing for the RGEV8A, the backup RGEV8B, and the Lycoia engine. The testing will occur over the weeks before the Lime Rock event.
Michaels said that he now arrived at Lime Rock and currently testing with the Lycoia engine. If both of the V8's fail, they will use a modified Lycoia engine, dubbed the LycoiaRGEV8C.

Team Quest announces interest in Lime Rock special
Team Quest owner Gregory Alexander announced that he plans to enter 2 cars in the Tiffany Matthews Memorial at Lime Rock. He announced that the drivers he has penciled in to run are newcomers Randy Higglesworth and Kristen O'Reilly. Alexander plans to have both run in the series next year, and which one will go full time and which one will go part time will be determined by the results of the race.
(OOC): Should I just add myself onto the entry list or do I need to wait?
Well it seems like everyone else is adding their entries in so I'll just put mine in.

Simon Sandas to compete at Lime Rock
Simon Sandas from New Zealand will enter the Lime Rock round of the ARLA Tornado Alley Truck Series for Tassie Racing. This will be the first time that Simon would be racing in America after a propsal in the Aussie V8s was rejected. He will enter with a Lycoia engine and chassis.

Atomic Autosport Considering running Matthews Memorial
Alex Areoski may be driving in the Lime Rock event, carrying number 942. The number is a tribute to Cody Keaton, with the number being a combination of Keaton's FO and TMMC numbers.
(can someone add this to the team chart, I'm not sure how)

I would prefer if it wasn't a text review. If a video is a bit tedious, try doing a screencap review instead.
