Nearly forgot to post this.
No cautions for once, and everyone was running at the end.
The battle for the lead was awesome, with the top-3 completely separated from the rest of the field. Ramsey Coqinner was constantly under attack from 2nd and 3rd place (Flint Stoneman and Andrew Tammerzan) for the entire race, until he used up his tires too much and fell off for the last lap. Stoneman blew by him in Turn 8 and never looked back.
Andy Lambert had run out of Champion's Provisionals heading into the week, and thus misses the show.
Daniel Sharp does an awesome job in the 02, putting it solidly in the show, and Pjotr Yeahi makes his debut in the 62. Scott Whullen makes his first attempt in the 36 car.
Please discuss.

Alenko makes surprising request, Owner abides
In an strange twist before the qualifying at Chicago, Alex Alenko has called team boss Camyron Jackson and asked that he get taken out of the car. This latest news is a surprise as Jackson was said to have given him 10 more races to prove himself. "I felt I just was delaying the inevitable" said Alenko. "Here I am just sitting at the back of the field in this series while all my teammates in the other series are doing far better in equipment not exactly of the same make but from the same shop. That doesn't say anything good about me as a driver and I'm just wasting space." When asked about his boss's reaction, he said he wasn't expecting the reaction he got. "I was kinda expecting to be let go any moment and thought he wasn't gonna care too much, but he seemed genuinely caught off at how quick I wented to get out. He mentioned a few time how I still have many races to try before he evaluated me being in the seat for another year, but I told him I just would rather get out rather then continually be a moving chicane." Owner Camyron Jackson shared his shocked feelings via phone. "I'm truly stunned." Said team owner Camyron Jackson. "I had the impression he was willing to stay in it and try to get better so when he called me and told me that he wanted out for the rest of the season, I was not prepared for that. I just can't ever remember a time where a driver actually tells his boss he doesn't want to race anymore because he is too slow. Nontheless, I'm honoring his request and hopefully with approval from the series officials, I can get him out." Jackson promises the team will still be together and if another driver wants to fill the seat, he'll provide the car. "We'll basically be going from full-time to part-time and will only run if a driver wants to get in." So when approved, the 47 will be only a part-time car and Alex Alenko will be out for the rest of the season but vows to be back next season.

Johnson out for European race
FAC Motorsports announced that Chuck Johnson will be taken out of the 64 car for for European races. Johnson has only qualified for one of five races since replacing the injured Frank Azzaretto. The team has recruited Finish rally driver Miko Rantanen to run the European Tour. It is currently unknown if Johnson will return to the team when they return to the states.
