Re: 2012 Race 12 (Albuquerque Twin 100s)
(Ceej put the link on Teamspeak which is why I've seen the race already)
- Spoiler:
- Todd Stater After Albequerque
Q: Todd Stater, you've just won your second career ARLA race. Can you tell us what the night was like?
A: We ran solid the whole way, the car was just...awesome. Even compared to the awesome runs we've had at short tracks in general this year. It was a second-or-third-place car. But late on I saw Quiggles go around, and that was just when I knew I was kind of going to be in command of this thing. You don't like to win them this way; I feel like I half lucked into it. I'll take it, though.
Q: Unofficially, you sit ninth in points. What does this do for your season and can you go higher by the time the season's over?
A: 9th? Like, top 10? Well, that'll do wonders for momentum if we can stay there. I haven't been there since...I think two years ago, and you remember how long that lasted. Can I go higher? Well, I'll tell you this much, I'm already looking forward to Iowa. And Orange. And Rockford.
Q: There was talk this weekend of some of your crew not being at the track during practice. Do you know if we expect some personell changes over at Green Racing because of it? For this year, next year or otherwise?
A: The way they run things, no, not at all. Forget personell changes; I'd be shocked if they all didn't get a raise for that come Monday. As for next year...all we want to change right now is maybe the car number.

- Spoiler:
- From Hospital Bed, Delgado Issues Ultimatum to Teams After Another Lost Night
"If you're coming to race so you can crash my cars, don't waste my time or yours by showing up" Were the words of a cranky, fresh out of surgery Tom Delgado from his hospital bed in New York after watching all of his drivers turn his cars into rather valuable piles of scrap metal at Albuquerque.
"I am sick and tired of having to pay all this money for repairs that my drivers cause because they're too busy being too damn irresponsible! There's a certain expectation of success when you sign with a team like MRD Motorsports, and not one of these guys with the exception of maybe (Joseph) Howard has come remotely close to those expectations! If we're going to continue to wreck and not race, I don't want ANY of my drivers to show up for the rest of the season. It'll save me a ton of money on unnecessary repair bills" Delgado said before the feed was cut out.
Once again the top 20 in drivers points is without an MRD driver, and for a team that claimed that they were going to be up there in the points challenging the M&J and Riggs drivers, this continued underachievement has to come as a huge morale killer.

- Spoiler:
- Matthews furious over Hayes incident:
To say Tiffany Matthews had a bad day at the office was an understatement.
She had a horrible one.
Caught a lap down after a slower-than-normal pit stop after the first caution on Lap 15, Matthews tried desperately to get back on the lead lap.
Unfortunately for her, she would be part of the third caution fifteen laps later as Jim Hayes dumped her, a move Matthews clearly - and angrily - disagreed with.
"It's bad enough we were in that position to start with," she said. "And then that (expletive) Hayes goes and does what he did. I'm really surprised at him...he should know better than that. I guess Hayes wouldn't know patience if it bit him in the (expletive)."
"I really shouldn't be complaining, though," she added. "We did manage to bring the car home in one piece, picking up valuable points in the process. So at least it was a sort of positive day for us."

Woodard's car was 'hard to handle' as he fell off the pace and came home in the back field
Woodard finished the first round at Albuquerque with a rather mediocre but clean finish. Woodard had been consistently off the pace, but not as bad as some drivers... including the so called evil mastermind 'Doom-O'. Woodard had this to say about that driver.
"Why the hell is he even allowed the race? He's freaking mental, and by that I mean he's too crazy even for this series." Woodard was nearly caught up in his shenanigans during the race. Woodard was just relieved to keep his car intact and get to the team trailer to get the heck out of the place.

- Spoiler:
- Eichholtz "Made" as Always
"I guess it's socially acceptable to turn people in front of the field. [Tom] Delgado made a really good pick for that 26 car. We would've avoided the wreck if Rip Tyler didn't decide to drive into the back of his own teammate when he had 3 lanes of apron to avoid the wreck. I guess all the good luck we had last year had to be made up for in someways. Let's just hope Ben can do better in race 2."

Report: Wodarczyk and DeSouza Fistfight in Garage
Several anonymous reports suggest that Gravity Racing driver Todd Wodarczyk punched Gary DeSouza in the garage before the pair were separated. Wodarczyk was later interviewed about the incident, which he did not deny.
"If he didn't just go out there and try and kill me on purpose he's just stupid." Wodarczyk said.
"I smacked a bit of sense into him because I don't appreciate people being stupid out there. I don't understand why some people like Barney Ward and Derek Dudding get so much hate when ARLA continues to let other people do even dumber things."

- Yamada Questions Team's Pit Strategy But Enjoys 6th Place
Makoto Yamada bounced back from a DNF last week with a solid 6th place finish. Oddly enough, Yamada thinks he could have finished a few positions higher in the running order. "The car was solid all day long, and I knew I could achieve a top five today. I disagreed with the pit strategy that my team wanted to try, but I did not fight direct orders. 6th place is great, so I still feel good about our run."

Re: 2012 Race 12 (Albuquerque Twin 100s)
Tucker apologetic over incident with Lightener - still angered though
In a rather uncharacteristic move by Ashley Tucker, she turned Isaac Lightener into the turn 3 wall and sent him flipping. While Tucker is still apologetic over the initial incident, she is upset over the inconsistency that seems to appear with the penalties.
"Again, I'm really sorry about what I did to Isaac. It was way out of hand... and I do accept the penalty with full responsibility, but I think Wodarczyk should be penalized too."
Todd Wodarczyk had a physical altercation with Gary DeSouza, however, he only got a warning for his actions, and this is what has Ashley Tucker fired up.
"He punched someone in the face, for goodness sake! How come he doesn't get 25 points taken off him? His actions can honestly be seen as just as dangerous as mine... and he actually set out to injure him, while I made a major mistake! ARLA seriously needs to reconsider their penalty system; it seems a bit out of line right now."
Tucker was then asked what caused her to wreck Lightener, however, she refused to answer and walked out of the press conference room.
Atkins fed up of bad luck
Ben Atkins, the British ARLA driver for Eichholtz Motorsports, says he is fed up of being caught up in other peoples problems, or other things that end the race for him that isn't of his doing. Despite Atkins finishing a very solid 12th, he says he could have won that race if it wasn't for an early accident.
"I'm just fed up of it. We've had one run so far that shows our teams real potential, and that was at Daytona of all places!" Atkins said; "I'm just fed up of having mechanical failures, like at Mosport and Buffalo Downs, and I just want my luck to get better."
Atkins also runs a TM Master Cup schedule for his own team, in an independent's trophy effort, where Atkins has had, so far, a very good finish of 11th at Wales. Atkins says there is a reason why his TM Master Cup stats are currently starting to look better than his ARLA resume.
"It's all about other drivers. In TM Master Cup, I'm surrounded by a bunch of really talented drivers who are top notch in what they do, and have earned the right to be in the cars. In ARLA, you have idiots like AJ Young, Derek Dudding and Jim Hayes, who don't know their left from rights half the time! If you put them in a TM Master Cup car, they'd be screwed."
Atkins will be in Race 1 for the Karl's 300, where he is confident he can steal a top 5 or even a win.

- Spoiler:
- Nikos Kastapolous came out of his car after getting a second place finish at Albuquerque and proceeded to give out congradulatory hugs to everyone in the 728 garage.
"Aw man, this gets better and better for us" Kas said to reporters, "I'm really proud of myself and the guys at Carcia-Aragon Motorsports, we've just kept building momentum. It is kind of a spur of the moment shame that we never caught up to the 07 car but, hey I'm not complaining."
