- Spoiler:
Joseph Howard Comments on Alberquerque Finish
MRD Motorsports driver Joseph Howard snagged another top 10 finish in his Nemoto, and despite the carnage that was Round 1, Howard remained positive.
"Man, it was a war zone out there." Howard said to the media after the race.
"Tires were wearing pretty bad, but we anticipated that and got a good finish tonight. It was a good challenge."
Despite improving his standing in the points standings, Howard admitted that it was not his concern at the moment.
"If we're in the hunt we're in the hunt, if not we're not. But so far we've done real good."

"Well, it kinda sucks that we fell out of the race today, but the RM guys have done a great job, this is the ONLY engine failure we've had all year, so we'll pack up and head to Dwyer." Cameron Sweetwater said, not letting a failed engine kill her spirits heading to Dwyer.

- Spoiler:
- "OK I don't know HOW I managed to keep my car going but what is this, World War II?!" Tauger said after Round 1 of the race."But SERIOUSLY, Dalitz pulled up right in front of me at the beginning and what's worst I get spun out later on by Anthony Griffith and THIS DON'T BRING OUT A CAUTION!!!???" Tauger was none too pleased about what happened tonight.

- Spoiler:
- Griffin happy with top 10 finish despite hitting wall in closing laps; More pleased with teams top 10 runs
For Ryan Griffin, his part-time year had only one highlight, a 3rd at Alberta. That was until tonight. The young rookie showed his short-track racing skills and was a contender in the closing laps until a brush with the wall in the closing laps cost him 4 places. Griffin shared his thoughts on the incident and his race overall:
"The car was great all night. I don't think I had anything for Libby [Bell], but we had a top 2 at least. I just over drove it at the end. I knew Kurt [Walker] was coming and I just drove it harder than I should. Never the less, GLM overall had a great night."
Griffin also gave a lot of praise for Kurt Walker: "There is a reason why he's been in this series as long as he is and we had a good fight going if I didn't brush the wall we probably would've got to the flag for that spot."
----
Jim More, GLM president and owner, had a reason to smile. His drivers' record finishes of 3rd and 6th making it the first time the team has finished in the top 10 with both cars in the same weekend.
"I think it just shows what this team is able to do. We made sure we went out and got us two good driver and they showed it tonight."
When asked about rumors of the teams 2011 plans, More had this to say:
"Well we have them [Ryan and Jarkko] both resigned. And we are putting a deal together to run a third car as a split owner deal, but we still have some stuff to work out with that."
Re: Race 10 (Albuquerque 300 Presented by Boyack)
- Spoiler:
- Rough night on the Short Track with Big Payoff
Amy Harrison had a rough start being pinched to the inside wall on the lap 4 caution that resulted in a massive pileup. "I know short tracks are known for having hectic events, and I should've seen this coming... Oh well, all's love and war, well, mostly war on these tracks. We'll just have to see how things play out from here on out." Afterwards, she managed to finish 11th, the last car on the lead lap gaining 9 spots in the standings to 30th. "I already know we're in no championship contention, we're just hoping to get a decent points finish.

- Spoiler:
- Bloomers confronts Dudding about wreck.
Chuck Bloomers showed a side of himself today many hadn't seen, his angry side, as he confronted Derek Dudding about a wreck involving the two of them and Bruce Wilkinson.
Bloomers told Dudding, "If you're gonna run that slow on the track, that's fine, but drive on the inside lane, and stay out of everyone's way. You cost me a good day, and you cost Bruce a good day." Dudding didn't respond.

Re: Race 10 (Albuquerque 300 Presented by Boyack)
- Spoiler:
- Team Whiper-Ildest have poor runs
For the first time since Texas, neither of the Whiper-Ildest cars managed a top 10.
In race 1,Gary DeSouza was running solidly in the top 15 but got caught up in the first wreck when Scott Dalitz pushed the car of Tauger into DeSouza, sending him into the wall.DeSouza later got caught up in another wreck when Alex Carson turned the 149,but no caution flew.
"I was like a pinball today, being pushed about side to side."
Later,in race 2,the second Team Whiper-Ildest car of Rene Recarmier qualified 5th,and was soon challenging for the lead. However, his race would end quite early as Allie Riggs merged right up into the #0,taking both cars on a ride and out of the race. The #0 car still maintains his 2nd in points,101 points back.
"Now I know how rollercoaster is!",said Recarmier,"But,serious talk.Ms Riggs, what in the world you doing? You like Dalitz, merge right up into traffic without one care in the world.I happy you roll a lot more than me,you deserve it."

- Spoiler:
- Eichholtz Greatly Pleased with Top-5
"You know, tire wear was obviously atrocious out there, but the team and myself did a great job of staying out of trouble I thought. This was definitely a huge momentum boost heading into Dwyer."
Eichholtz said he isn't worried about qualifying for the second annual endurance race. "The way things are happening now, I don't see how anyone can catch Kevin [Monroe]. But if he doesn't qualify, then the whole championship changes."
"Also, I'm lucky that nothing worse happened when that moving piece of debris Treck Tauger sent me out of the groove on worn tires. Luckily, I didn't lose fifth. After watching race two, I'm glad I didn't have the same problem that Griffin did. I understand he's trying to make a career in ARLA, but he's gotta watch out when the leaders come through."

PSI, Tyler Plans to Appeal Penalty
PSI owner William Power said that he plans to appeal the penalty that docked Rip Tyler 25 championship points.
"From where we were sitting, the lapped (I'm guessing) car of Mike Howard looked like he was forcing Rip up the track towards the wall. Rip only got into him when he refused to give up any more ground to the #610 car. The TV announcers I believe were in error, because Rip only pitted after Howard got into him to see what, if any, damage had been sustained. From our perspective, Rip was dominating the race at that point and he wasn't scheduled to pit at that time. Rip ran a good clean race save for this incident and I'm sure that once all the replays are viewed and everything's taken into account, this will have a satisfactory outcome for all involved. If not a complete outright reversal, then perhaps a reduced points penalty," Power explained
