I'm glad that Mikey isn't buying Robbys ride, why waste your money on somebody who actually HAS talent just so you can fail and crash out more drivers who have talent.

Oh, the rumor is very real; it made its way to Yahoo!. But then again, nothing I posted is stuff I can confirm is true. Wait and see.
Re: 2012 Daytona 500 (Qualifying , Duels and the Race)
Well I haven't seen anything on Jayski yet and I'd think they'd have something about on there already.Cynon wrote:Oh, the rumor is very real; it made its way to Yahoo!. But then again, nothing I posted is stuff I can confirm is true. Wait and see.
It's weird how it's gotten on Yahoo but not Jayski.

I like how "failures" and "mwaltrip" are next to each other on the link.

Re: 2012 Daytona 500 (Qualifying , Duels and the Race)
Michael Waltrip, after winning twice at Daytona and racing at this track so many times still doesn't even know how to exit the pit road properly. Gonna guess that there is a verb for him like there is for Kevin Lepage. This was way worse than Kevin Lepage's fail at Talladega, because Waltrip's fail was driver's fault. Lepage's crew chief mistakenly told him that it was all clear to merge up the track.

Ok, watching the DW sucking on Danica's ta ta's viedo they are showing on Fox (face it, that is what it pretty much is, DW fawning over Danica like he is), and she isn't speaking like a redneck like she was on Saturday... Jeff Gordon's moustache in 1993 says that's a ton of fail.
Looking at the weather radar, there is rain around the area (not very heavy, but still a bunch of rain showers around the area), so I think we are safe to assume we won't start for a few hours

Weather reports are now looking like this race will most likley end at night. I am wondering if it will even start. And tomarrow doesn't look much better.

Not much to worry about, I'm guessing it'll run from about 2:30 to maybe as long as 8, if the amount of fail continues.

Looks like there is another big patch of rain right now over the Gulf of Mexico heading towards Daytona...
Open up the road course, slap rain tires on the cars, and let em race!

Looking at the future radar predictions, they are calling for the rain to buzz Daytona to the north. That would be a good thing

Re: 2012 Daytona 500 (Qualifying , Duels and the Race)
News on NASCAR.com are saying that the Jet dryers out on the track but as far as I'm concerned, the rain is showing no signs of moving on.
Re: 2012 Daytona 500 (Qualifying , Duels and the Race)
I hope it gets called so I can listen in on the ISRA during the race. I have to head to work in about 2 hours -_-
Edit: screw waiting on Daytona. I'm watching bowling instead

Re: 2012 Daytona 500 (Qualifying , Duels and the Race)
I'm looking at the future radar predictions, and until about 7:30 or so, the rain could be off and on (the main batch of showers buzzing Daytona to the north), then it looks like NASCAR would be in the clear from there on out.
If they get this race off tonight, it won't be starting until real late

Radar is looking alot better. They have a hour and a half to dry the majority of it,then maybe a light sprinkle, dry it again, then go.

Plus, the heat of the day is already done, as temperature are falling, which means showers might be breaking up. At least, that's the weather pattern where I live.f1fan12 wrote:PYLrulz wrote:I'm looking at the future radar predictions, and until about 7:30 or so, the rain could be off and on (the main batch of showers buzzing Daytona to the north), then it looks like NASCAR would be in the clear from there on out.

The rain is moving very slowly, which is good, but what I am afraid of is that by the time the track is dry, the big patch of rain might end up hitting Daytona

Just one to say, what is the weather forecast for the race tomorrow?
Re: 2012 Daytona 500 (Qualifying , Duels and the Race)
That's what NASCAR gets for pushing the race a whole week back.
Re: 2012 Daytona 500 (Qualifying , Duels and the Race)
Weather doesn't look great for tomorrow either. Thunderstorms tomorrow, 80% chance of rain. Best chance to get it in could be Tuesday.

Yep, don't run it on Presidents' Day Weekend, when you have a holiday, run it on a weekend where everyone will be at work or school on Monday if it gets rained out.

Also, I really can't believe how throughout Daytona Speedweeks, the weather has been perfect and for this one big race, the rain has to spoil it.

Or stay on Presidents Day weekend, the NFL stayed locked out a few extra weeks, decides to push the Super Bowl back, then NASCAR is in for a world of shit.
If hindsight was 20/20, every decision would of been the right one.

Re: 2012 Daytona 500 (Qualifying , Duels and the Race)
I love how everyone is automatically saying it is going to rain tomorrow. Their source is a group of people who couldn't tell if it was raining outside if they were outside.
I've seen it rain when there was a 20% chance, and I've seen it still clear when it was a 60% chance. Truth is you can't say for sure until it actually happens.
If you want to know the weather at race, wait till race time and walk out on the track that's the only way you can say for sure.

Just checked radar predictions. Not looking good until maybe, 1:30PM, take about an hour and a half to two hours to dry the track, So I think the race will get going around 3:45PM to about 4. Possibly later.
