Car Painting Empty Car Painting

Post by BuddyNixon Sun Dec 14, 2014 6:37 pm

OK, so I have a bunch of cars that need to be painted. I have 5 in APRS, 2 in NPCC, 6 in Dash Cup, possibly 2 in FARC (pending Ceej's approval), 2 in National Dirt Trucks, 4 in PCC Cup, plus a journeyman driver who floats from series to series.

So I have over 20 cars to be painted (although bsoyuz gave my APRS some really awesome generic paint schemes for the time being)...

The problem: I have no access to NR2003 or any software that would allow me to create my own paint schemes. Even then, I have no clue how to use the mods and the associated files to properly make the car.

If I make 20 requests, I am a jackass; if I don't, I have my cars thrown out.

All ideas appreciated.

To start, Adobe gives the Photoshop CS2 by free, if you search on their site, I would give you the link, but my internet is awful at a point that Adobe's site doesn't open.

The car templates are provided by the league owners/runners, there are a lot of tutorials on photoshop basics, same for car/base creation.

You just have to go to the right places. Painting is not that hard to learn if you have motivation to do it.

^All right, thanks. I can probably figure it out fast enough. I will just have to pace myself accordingly.

I had actually assumed as such knowing that you had already run qualifying for me, but thanks anyway. I may evaluate it at the race and see how it looks (assuming my cars qualify).

OK... besides CS2, what other softwares work to make cars? I don't feel like putting my computer through 2 GB of downloads

Going to try GIMP because it would literally take me a few months to learn CS2. Looks like no cars for Ben tonight.
