- Spoiler:
Moore "embarrassed" by error; finishes 40th in APRS debut
This wasn't the debut that Flannery Moore had in mind.
Being the standard-bearer for M2 Development after teammate Andrea-Lynn Caldwell and one-off entrant Carter Fitzgerald failed to qualify for the Launch Energy Daytona 200, Moore faced a lot of pressure coming into her first race.
She did not perform as she hoped, botching her first-ever green-flag pit stop by running into Jason Evans entering Pit Road, and eventually limping to a 40th-place run, a full four laps off the pace.
"I'm so embarrassed," Moore said. "I'm not used to making green-flag pit stops. I thought I could pull it off, but I guess I was trying too hard to be someone I'm not. I need to learn to drive within my abilities."
Moore scored seven points toward the championship, but might not get to keep them should APRS officials decide to issue a penalty for her pit road incident.

Eleven hour Atkins takes 2nd APRS victory
He came in as a spectator for the race, and left a winner.
Ex-TMMC driver Ben Atkins gave the Overton Motorsports Enterprises team something to celebrate, despite team owner and lead driver Michelle Overton getting injured, when he crossed the line in first at Daytona International Speedway, taking his 2nd APRS victory, and his 2nd on a superspeedway. Atkins had travelled to Daytona to watch the race himself, but when Overton was injured in a huge practice accident, Atkins was one of the only active drivers still at the track that was not in a ride, and he was called up at the very last minute to take over the car, and they could not have made a better choice.
"Daytona, I love you!" said an excited Atkins, "I just cannot believe that happened! I expect to come in and watch a great race, instead I win a great race! Winning at Daytona is a dream, and I know it's not exactly a TMMC or FARC win here, but it's a damn win at Daytona! The only thing better to me would be a win at Indianapolis!"
"The support I got from the team, and Michelle herself was fantastic. To put me in at the eleventh hour was unexpected for both of us, and I hope that I paid the team well with this win! This just feels awesome!"
Atkins does not currently plan on making any more APRS appearances, but with his huge win, there are rumours circulating that Atkins could call up the drivers who attempted the 2014 Tears TryHard 500, wife Hannah Percy and Gravity Racing, Inc driver Caitlin Richler for a revival of HQS Racing to have a go at the Talladega event again.

JINX Racing on 2015 Debut
"Not going to say we did terrible, but we didn't exactly run as well as we had hoped. All three cars in the top 20 for the Epps pro series with two top tens and a top 5. Unfortunately, only 1 out of our 4 cars made the Daytona 200. Danny definitely gave the car one hell of a run though. Our motors are proving themselves quite nicely. We just need a little luck this season. We'll pick up a win or two this season hopefully." Jinx Rodriguez

- Spoiler:
- Corey, Burning Heat! Motorsports survives trial by fire in debut race
Six races in eight days: A brutal schedule for any stock car team, but especially if it's the fheir first, and even more so if they're fielding rookies. But Burning Heat! Motorsports handled their APRS debut like seasoned professionals. Beginning with an uneventful mid-pack run in the Hanmore Rookie Challenge, and then a lackluster performance by Stephania Andersonne in the Epps Pro Series, the team's expectations were dampened considerably. However, Victor Corey's gritty performance in the Launch Energy Series Daytona 200 events was a thrilling climax for their efforts. Even after a poor showing in pole qualifying and barely making the cut twice in the qualifying races. then taking a hit to their back in the main event, Corey gained ten positions to finish 22nd in his first ever stock car race.
"That's the hardest I've ever fought for a paycheck," Corey said post-race. "I can't say i've ever finished a race with a line of donuts down my car, then again, nobody's run into the back of me heading down to the pits either," referring to two incidents, with Yuno Kazami and Jenny Ashcroft, respectively. "I'm not staying mad about that last hit or how I finished, I had a ton of fun, and I can't wait for the duals at USA International next week. Hopefully I can pull a Ben Atkins for that one, right?"
Jaden Knight was quiet as usual about his team's performance. "We did better than I thought we would, but we have to do better than that. Can't win championships from 30th, no matter what you're driving. I'm expecting a lot from both Vic and Steffie next week on the short ovals."

- Spoiler:
- Autosport France celebrates 2nd place, twice!!!
Autosport France, after a mediocre race in Daytona, stepped up their game in Lakeland, David LeBlanc's first ever points start, starting and finishing 2nd, even was 2 laps and maybe a turn away from winning. LeBlanc is now 3rd in ROTY.
*English version of interview*
LeBlanc : We had a great race, 86 just beat us, had a better stop, and he took it from us, but i'm still glad, it shows our power and makes us looks like title contenders, even after missing a race!
Rebecca Pellerin, came short after a great race by the whole team. She was stuck behind lapped cars, and denied her first victory in APRS. She is now 6th in the title hunt.
Pellerin : Great team effort, car was top 10 maybe top 5, but the crew helped the car all night, and got us 2nd, I'm really happy, now we just need to continue this performance, and we will this title!
Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
Pete Moeller Runs well in FL
When his teammate Keegan Mallory DNQed for Daytona after a wreck took him out of contention, Short Track Ace Pete Moeller took up the slack by qualifying 6th on his debut. The talented Southern Wisconsin driver didn't get the finish he wanted but he learned a lot about SuperSpeedway racing, then it was onto Lakeland where he was the only DHRE Driver in the field. Moeller worked his pit strategy perfectly and ended up with a top -12 finish. Moeller will be back at the Columbia round while Keegan Mallory will be in the #67 at Road Atlanta.

- Spoiler:
- Corey: First DNF "something to learn from"
Victor Corey had a night to forget at the Margatroid 150. Though towards the back of the pack, Corey was holding with it, riding the upper line to get a run for a pass. Unfortunately for him, Steven Arroyo, driving the #15 Jinx Motor Works car, had the same idea, riding slightly higher than that. Arroyo tapped Corey on the rear right corner, sending Corey into a spin, and after a quick ride into the wall, he was done for the evening.
"I've been lucky for the most part in my career, seeing as that's probably the fastest speed I've ever wrecked at. And worse still, I bet I could have saved it too..." That statement brought scoffs from the crew around him as we spoke to him in the Burning Heat! Motorsports garage post-race.
"No, really, see, in open-wheel, they always tell you, take your hands off the wheel so you won't bust your wrist when the steering arms go and all you can do is hold on while carbon fiber spews everywhere. Sure, you guys don't believe me, but I bet I could have held on and kept it from turning too badly. But now I know, right? Now I can say that I've had an experience with it, something I can learn from, and hopefully now that we're headed to a road course, I'll be able to make something better out of it."
Next week, the APRS Launch Energy Series goes to Road Atlanta for another dual race, the Atlanta 150K. Corey currently sits 41st in the championship.

- Spoiler:
- After forgettable runs in the first 2 races of the season, Skeez Antifreeze Racing got their first top 5 and double top 10 at Road Atlanta. People didn't know what to think of Devon Kenward at the beginning of the season, but just because his family owns the team doesn't mean he isn't a good driver, bringing home the first podium in Skeez Antifreeze Racing's short life so far. After finishing 2nd in the rookie shootout Stewart Ferguson has struggled a bit, but he still was able to finish in the top 10 at Road Atlanta. No one really expected either of the Skeez Antifreeze Racing drivers to do well at roadcourses, but they proved their critics wrong and are still trying to make a drive for the championship and rookie of the year. "It's still early in the season, but Stewart and I are gonna give those big name teams and drivers a run for their money this year," said Kenward after his podium at Road Atlanta.

- Jethro Jones finishes an amazing 5th
After appearing in the top 5 due to the collision in the esses at the closing stages of Georgia 150K at Road Atlanta that took out three of the cars that were running in the top 5, Rocky Mountain Racers' Jethro Jones battled with Boyd Abbott for 4th place but ultimately lost out by the finish. However the 5th place is still an amazing result for Jones who hasn't had the best start to the year. He now sits 8th in the Rookie of the Year standings just above team-mate Ben Schneider in 9th. The team's other two cars of Lucas Gage and Dexter Fairburn experienced some bad luck, both being involved in collisions.

DHRE has stellar run at Road ATL
DHRE's weekend turned out to be really good. Pete Moeller lead DHRE with a 6th Place finish in race 1. A solid finish for a driver more known for his Short Track experience. This was followed by Keegan Mallory's 12th place finish in race two. Keegan had the following to say. "Well we did spin out in qualifying and that put us behind the 8-ball, but we were able claw our way up into the top-15." Next up i Columbia in South Carolina where Moeller will run the #46 car.

- FINALLY THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO ATLANTA(Wait... Wrong Promo.)
Finally, Rebecca Pellerin celebrates her first career win.
On a pleasant Sunday afternoon here in Braselton, Georgia, Rebecca Pellerin, got her maiden win here today after a dominating performance here at Road Atlanta. Her teammate David LeBlanc finished 5th. Rebecca at the age of 16 is the first from the Pellerin family to score a win. (Mostly because Luc is the new bridesmaid of the FARC Truck Series. lol). Pellerin also took away the points lead over the 07 car of Mac Hanley. It's her 2nd career win, first coming at a Texas modified race in FARC last year.
Pellerin : Finally the win i've been looking for by over year in APRS, the FARC win counts, but it wasn't special like this one is!
LeBlanc meanwhile, after his 5th place finish, jumped to 16th in points.

- Burning Heat! Motorsports earns first podium in brutal fight at Road Atlanta
The second APRS race at Road Atlanta was an absolute brawl. Cars going off every which way, all sorts of contact, battles all across the field, and a pile-up at the bridge. It was a day you survived, not one you won.
But that didn't stop Victor Corey from getting close. He qualified well, stayed ahead of the carnage, and for much of the race's latter section, he was involved in a huge back-and-forth battle for the lead with the #61 of Flannery Moore. At a couple points, he had the lead, but couldn't quite make it stick, and eventually finished in second, his highest finish in his short APRS career.
"I thought I had her," Corey said in a post-race interview. "I just couldn't ever get a handle on those Esses. I'd done them before in F1500, but now that I've cranked up the power and weight on the car, I found I was losing my back end a whole lot, and watching the broadcast, does it ever show. But really, I've got no regrets. I can't buy champagne yet, so I sent Flannery the biggest bottle of Burning Heat! we could find. Hopefully we can have ourselves another battle for the lead soon enough, 'cause that was a ton of fun."
APRS continues next week, with the Launch Energy and Epps Pro Series coming together at Columbia Speedway.

Burning Heat! Motorsports looks to Ohio for a comeback
Last week's APRS rounds at Columbia Speedway were not kind to Burning Heat! Motorsports. After getting caught in a pileup in the backstretch, Stephania Andersonne had to settle for a top 20 finish in the Epps Pro Series, but at least she finished, unlike her Launch Energy Series compatriot, Victor Corey, was the punching bag for his Launch Energy Series heat, ending up in crash after crash before finally, mercifully retiring. It was a shocking return to earth after fighting for the lead at Road Atlanta almost the whole race.
Corey continues to chalk it up to his inexperience in oval driving. "Yeah, sure they had a few ovals in F1500, but this is just so much different. A stock car, you've gotta wrestle the wheel around, push the pedals harder, it's just more raw, less controlled. I'm happy for the two-week break we've had between races, not just because it gave us a chance to fix up the car after it got turned to hamburger, but I've put some more simulator time in and watched some tape of the pros. I'm learning something with every race, it's too bad the lesson this time was 'stay the heck away from The Racing Team guys, or you'll end up like them.' We've got a good shot at this one, same as always, as long as I don't screw it up."

- Great pit strategy puts both Autosport France cars 1-2
After some questionable pit strategy, the French team seemed like geniuses when Rebecca Pellerin and David LeBlanc drove to the front on new tires. Rebecca took it over from there, dominating the race and taking her 2nd victory in 2015! David LeBlanc, played great teammate, taking 2nd but couldn't get to Rebecca.
Pellerin : Great race for the 27 team, they had a plan to get us from the back to the front after pitting, and not screwing up, we got some timely cautions, and we had the best car out there. David had the 2nd, and he got 2nd... Hopefully he gets that #1 soon!
*Translated from french interview*
LeBlanc : 2nd is really sweet, only time you want to say that is when your great friend and teammate gets 1st. We're gonna get that win soon!
Pellerin still leads by 25 points over #264 and LeBlanc is in 5th place, leading RotY with a 6.2 average finish.

Jerry and Jessica Yan get their car crunched in their race, while Daniel and Emma Yan have a heated exchange in the garage. Sean Cao just stays quiet.
Their were reports that the Yan Clan were all going back and forth with each other, with Jerry and Jessica trying to keep the peace between Daniel and Emma, who got into each a few times during their race and likely helped lead to neither of them winning. Sean Cao, had a quiet day and didn't get into the middle of the family situation.

- Average day for Autosport France, Pellerin rips field a new one
Autosport France had a unique strategy today, LeBlanc needing the extra points got the best car possible, and Rebecca the championship leader would ride in the back. It almost backfired. LeBlanc, not a super-speedway veteran, had one of the best cars in the field, led some laps, but sadly after hitting the wall causing the big one, David recovered to finish 6th place, gaining on teammate Pellerin, and after missing Daytona is 4th in points (And may of had a 1-2 right now if so.) and is leading
Pellerin's day went bad after the big one on lap 38, while breaking the car, she got run into by the 99 of Elton Nelson. She had some keen words to say about the competition.
Rebecca : Can't run with the noobs, especially the 99, he had time to brake, and speared us into the wreck, no wonder i'm the championship leader and he's a reject for Nelson Racing. Hate super-spedways... Thank god we're going to the Glen after this terrible excuse of a race.
Rebecca Pellerin still leads the championship by 33 points over Boyd Abbott. The APRS will go to Watkins Glen in 2 weeks.
Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
You know, you can afford to slow down a tad, son. I mean, I know you have a lot of time on your hands, but six rounds in less than a month? Damn.

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
- Spoiler:
- Skeez Antifreeze racing has had an up and down 6 races being in and out of the top 10 and top 20 of both rookie of the year and overall points standings, but that's not keeping either driver down. After being involved in almost every wreck in the Horse Piss 200 Devon Kenward still managed a 13th place finish and moved into the top 10 in points. He was then marred by bad luck in the next few events though, being involved in an incident in each of them dropping him in the standings. Stewart Ferguson has been continually getting better since the beginning of the season too finishing every race, albeit not on the lead lap every time. Ferguson also leads the team in top 10's with 2 (3 if you count the rookie shootout), his most recent coming at Boston.

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
- Spoiler:
- Burning Heat! Motorsports making steady improvements, DNFs at Boston
With two rookie drivers on a first-year team, Jaden Knight wasn't expecting much when he was tapped to be the crew chief and manager for Burning Heat! Motorsports, and he's the first one to say that not much has come of it yet. Aside from a few bright flashes like Road Atlanta, most races have found their drivers bringing up the rear, if they finished at all. But things are slowly turning around as the season approaches its second quarter.
"[Victor] Corey did a heck of a job at Ohio last week. We were running up in third before the commentator's curse bit us, but we still pulled out a top 10. Watkins Glen should be a good weekend for us, we all saw how great Corey did at the last road course, and Andersonne should be no different."
However, his confidence was tampered by Corey's race at Boston Speedway, where a huge crash midway through the race brought out a red flag. Corey's #77 managed to avoid the worst of it, but was involved outside of the main pack and could not finish the race.
"I thought I was out of the woods, I had clipped a guy and was just trying to re-orient myself on the apron when someone came along and plowed into the back of me. Bam, done for the day. Watkins Glen can not come soon enough..."

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
American Professional Racing Series to merge with the North American Stock Car Tour at the end of 2015, new sanctioning body to be formed.
A couple of days after the conclusion of the Faasline Trailers 150 at the Boston International Speedway, the APRS CEO, Madeleine Fay called a press conference to announce the formation of a new sanctioning body.
This new sanctioning body will be formed by the union of the American Professional Racing Series with the North American Stock Car Tour, a series that currently runs in the southeast of the United States.
The union between the two associations will form the Professional Auto Racing Tour (PART). Three series are expect to rise from this merger:
- PART Racing Series presented by Launch Energy
- PART Sportsman Series powered by Huffman Air Filters
- PART Cathe Street Stock Tour
There's still big speculation on which is the destiny of the teams running both APRS and NASCT, but it is expected that most of them shift to the PART.

Launch Energy Series Race 7 - Hakurei @ the Glen
- Spoiler:
- Rick Park injured at crash in Race 1
Rick Park is the only driver to come out of Watkins Glen with health problems, he was diagnosed with a concussion, no further details were added but it is expected that it was from the collision with David LeBlanc.
The driver expected to replace him in the #1 car is Michael Elliott, driver of the #1 car at the superspeedways, and for the rest of the races that Rick Park will miss, Kerry Johnson will drive the car.Kerry was not injured.
Boyd Abbott suspended for 5 races
After his collision with the leader on the first round of the Hakurei @ the Glen Boyd Abbott didn't received any love from the officials, and that was evident due to his 5 race suspension and being slapped with an additional 50 point penalty. The team owner, Jack Ashcroft had anything to say, and it's expected that the 2014 Champion, Kelly Ashcroft will drive the #60 in his place, until the end of Abbott,'s suspension.
