He'll change his number to #47.
Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
Just a heads up about 2015, I would want to see a few more cars running full-time in the Sportsman Tour and a few more guys running full-time in the Launch Energy Series. Currently there's 11 spots remaining in the ALES and 9 spots remaining in the AIST.
If I don't get enough entries I'll just add a bunch of generics.

National Touring driver to start AIST team; Will run 2 entries in 2015
National Touring driver, Ryan Griffin, has teamed up with the Donald Trump of the Midwest, young entrepreneur and Kansas City native, David Myers, to form an APRS Imago Sportsman Tour team.

Myers, age 29, has signed his cousin, Allen, who is the reigning MSTS (Midwest Short Track Series) champion, to drive one of the two entries. The team is actively seeking a driver for their 2nd entry.
The team will be known as GME, Griffin-Myers Enterprises.

HQS Racing make it 3 for 3 in the Tears TryHard 500, Atkins confident Percy can become 3 division winner
Ben Atkins' team is making it's last appearance in America until the second half of the Dash Cup season in 2015, and their last planned appearance at Talladega Superspeedway, but it was a good outing for them, as they got all three cars into the main race. Both Atkins and Richler got top 5's in their B-Mains; Richler recovering well from a late race spin on the backstretch. However, Atkins was looking to someone other than him to win the race.
"Let's be honest, I'm not as good at these big oval races as Caitlin, and with all of Hannah's trophies being on the mantle piece at our house, it's no question who's the better driver." said Atkins, "If anyone's gonna win, you gotta look at the girls. I really want Hannah to become a three division winner, then she can start chasing Delgado down for the four division honour."
"At the same time, I'd like to see Caitlin get her first win for HQS in a huge race. She's deserved it, and it's been illusive for her. Had the Talladega FARC race gone her way, she might have had a chance there."
However, Hannah Percy disagreed, saying the only way it would be justified was if Atkins, the team owner, took the best result in HQS' last race.
"He's tried so hard with the team, and even after getting that top 5 result, he was so happy." said Percy, "I think if he gets even a top 10 run in the race, he'll be so happy. I'd love to see him do really well, because it would also be a huge boost in his confidence, and he needs that."
Atkins was seen talking to various APRS drivers, allegedly talking about lower tier Dash Cup rides for drivers, gaining the most interest from Lucia Moreno and Ollie Cendale-Nolan, the two Kristoph and Co drivers. Tristan Kristoph has apparently got a Super Touring ride lined up.

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
- FULL STANDINGS:
- Spoiler:
- Everybody involved in all wrecks are okay, maybe Percy could be with a possible concussion and a few broken bones, but nothing really big. Also, I would be unfair if I injured Percy, since in the same season there were some really hard hits where the driver got uninjured (Daniel Yán and Dwight Johnson at Kansas; Connie Brooks at Joliet).
guys.........this is you cue to start the offseason.
- Spoiler:
- Ashcroft jubilant after winning the 2014 APRS title
The first words of Kelly Ashcroft after climbing out of the #9 car were: "I've never been so strong, I want to thank everyone that helped us the entire year, and my entire career, we did it guys!"
This is Kelly's first title, as here older sister, Julia, is a three time champion. However, after winning the 2014 title, Ashcroft won't be ble to defend it, as she'll be moving to the NPCC Super Pro Series with Final Stage Motorsports, team owned by 1992 APRS Champion, Lesley Stage. Racing with Ashcroft will be Bianca Dawson.
Hard hits for Percy, Macena, and Beckett. No major medical worries
In the Lap 60 big one, Isabella Macena, Hannah Percy and Aaron Beckett flipped, with Percy undoubtedly taking the worst of it, but all three drivers were able to climb out from their cars, Percy and Macena with some difficulty.
Isabella slid through the track on her roof after being sent upside down by Kenta Kurosawa.
Percy was hammered by Timmy Welsch's #1 car at a 100 mph, as Welsch couldn't stop his Nemoto in time, the hit was driver's side first, but mostly in the back end of Percy's #29 Lenard, which may have contibuted to Percy not having severe injuries, another fact that may also have spared Percy from a bigger injury is that since 2012, the driver's seat is located closer to the center of the car and the speeds have been severely slowed down since Lesley Stage's career ending crash in 2004, Stage is paraplegic since.
Isabella Macena didn't had too many words to speak about the crash: "I was trying to give some space to the #400, but if people are going to be so damn idiot before the halfway point, I'm sorry, you can't finx stupidity."
Aaron Beckett was more critical of the wreck: "If you're a freaking lapped car (refers to Macena that was going a lap down at the moment of the crash) YOU MOVE TO THE OUTSIDE, is it too hard to understand. We got a unnecessary wreck from this, and we could've had 2004 again, so I don't know what Macena, or Kurosawa were thinking, but is not like this that you win a 500 mile race"
Hannah Percy and HQS Racing has yet to release a statement regarding the wreck.

Hannah Percy breaks left wrist and two fingers after scary accident
After a huge lap 60 flip, Hannah Percy clambered out of the car holding her left wrist in pain. Percy, who has had a good season in Dash Cup with multiple wins, was a one-off for her husband's team, Ben Atkins. Percy is not expected to miss any of her scheduled Dash Cup events in 2015.
Percy even watched the final 25 laps from the hospital, and seen her husband take her first points paying win in any series for 4 years.
Ben Atkins triumphant in Tears TryHard 500
For the first time in 4 year in any series, British TMMC driver wins a points paying event with APRS' biggest event, the Tears TryHard 500 at Talladega. Atkins has been close to winning on several occasions in different series, but finally sealed the deal in a one off event in the APRS series. This is Atkins' first win on an American track.
Atkins had rival Gabriel Macena pushing him to the victory, a shocking move after the year the two have had together, but Macena stuck with Atkins, and as the radio chatter tells, Atkins was nervous;
Atkins' victory lane interview was just as emphatic, Atkins jumped out of the car and looked around, soaking in the victory.
"Oh man, this is AWESOME!" said Atkins, "I can't believe it, we won a race at Talladega! The fact I even won this amazes me. HQS' last race, and we make it to victory lane. It's been too damn long. I'm still worried for Hannah though. I got told she's okay, but I can't help but feel that way. But it's been a long time since I've been truly happy with how I've performed, and hell yeah I'm happy right now!"
"I've got to thank Gabe. Everything we've been through is forgotten. He was my best friend on the race track today, and I cannot thank him enough. I want to be able to find him on every other Superspeedway race I do, because he damn well knows what he's doing now. I never thought I would have said that 6 months ago."

- 5 LAPS TO GO
BA: I swear to god if Gabe turns me I am going to be mad.
Spotter (JM): You're good. Coming to 4 to go this time by, he's staying behind you.
BA: If he stays behind me I'll be surprised. There's other people he could be helping.
JM: 4 to go. He probably trusts you, it's evidently doesn't go both ways.
White Flag
JM: White flag, 2 and a half to go, you got this. He's still pushing you.
BA: Is he going to keep it that way though?
JM: He might. He would have wrecked you by now if he was gonna do anything.
BA: Good lord... is this really happening? Where's the pack?
JM: A long way back man, two corners to go.
(Silence)
BA: YES!!!!!!!! YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!! FUCK YEAH!
JM: AWESOME JOB BUDDY I KNEW YOU HAD IT IN YOU!

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
A new team, Skeez Antifreeze Racing, emerges seemingly out of nowhere to field 2 cars in the APRS Launch Energy Series. Not much is known about this team other than that their sponsor, Skeez Antifreeze, is widely panned as a low quality antifreeze even though it is one of the top selling brands in the country. Stewart Ferguson has been on the radar for several large teams recently because of his promising career but he questionably decided to sign with Skeez Antifreeze, most likely because of a large sum of money. Devon Kenward on the other hand seems to have just been born with a silver spoon in his mouth and not many are looking forward to his delve into professional racing.

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
Sean Cao, finishing off a solid season with a second place at Talladega, being the only Yan Motorsports car even in the top 20. Despite this Yan Motorsports wins the Team Championship with a great performance from cars that at the beginning of the year had no funding.
"Really proud of this team for surviving, got another 2nd place. Shame we couldn't get the win in the finale like we did in the season opener. But you know what, this is just the beginning and I'm looking forward to 2015. We finished 8th with this 65 team with the lowest number of top 5s and top 10s in the Top 10 in points. I really think this shows what this team is made of." - Sean Cao
"Really proud to have gotten 6th in the points, despite not making the last race. But you know, we will move forward and even look back a bit and see what we were able to accomplish this season. The consistency hasn't completely been there but we got a couple of wins and as a team, we are champions so that gives me a pretty good feeling about next year." - Daniel Yan
"Getting 9th in points with a couple of wins is something to be proud of. We are the team champs, so we have a title to defend next year...in a sense. As a first year driver, I made plenty of mistakes, so I'm hoping next year I can reduce them and do even better." - Jerry Yan
"I'm happy we got 15th in points. The 61 car had 3 wins this season, the most in our team but we kept getting bit with mechanical failures and accidents mainly. I only had 17 top 10s, but also got 17 DNFs. Hopefully we got all those issues out of the way and can be a competitor next season." - Jessica Yan
"Blowing up so early is surely not the way I wanted to end this season. This season was a season of ups and downs. I'm so happy we were able to win and get into the top 20 in points. I don't know how low we might have been but I can likely promise we were well down in the points. Looking forward to 2015. I'm just hoping I can avoid flipping the car like I did this season." - Emma Yan
Yan Motorsports stats for 2014 season, which made them team champions
Mind you, this is between 5 drivers.
10 wins (All as unsponsored car, omg hax, Jessica Yan had most with 3 and Sean Cao only getting 1, everyone else having 2.)
49 top 5s (Emma Yan had most at 12, trolling)
89 top 10s (Emma Yan had most at 19, wat?!?!)
9 poles (Jerry Yan wins this between teammates with 5, Sean Cao getting 3 and Emma 1.)
63 DNFs (Yay repair bills! , Jessica Yan had the most at 17, matching the same number of top 10s she had.)
519 Laps Led (Daniel Yan led most at 183. Both Jerry and Jessica only led 52 each.)
31,230 Points altogether. (Wow.)

Burning Heat! Motorsports Looks Forward to 2015 APRS Season
Burning Heat! Blazing Hot Pepper Sauce, well-known manufacturer of small-batch, fire-roasted hot sauces known the nation over, thanks to their annual pepper sauce contest, is trying something new this year: minor-league motor racing. "Like everything else we do," said COO Randy British, "we start small, because it's easier to do it right. Our hopes are to make something great out of this new venture, maybe moving into new series depending on how it goes, but we are confident in the skills of the team we've set up. We are up against some stiff competition in the Launch Energy series, but never underestimate what a little extra care and preparation can do."
To that end, they have hired driver Victor "Big" Corey, a rising phenom on the open-wheel ladder. While some would say he was not the most obvious choice for a stock car series, Corey is nothing short of enthusiastic. "Watching stock cars on TV is what got me into racing years ago, and it's going to be a big change, but I'm excited! There's nothing quite like having a big engine running at top speed under your command, and I'm sure I can take a little bump and grind action. The Burning Heat! paint on my Corsair looks great, the car goes fast, and I'm hoping we can scratch out a win or two this year."

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
Might as well fill up the remaining three spots in the Launch Energy Series:
New APRS Team Formed in Colorado
A new 3-car team has been incorporated in the state of Colorado. Rocky Mountain Racers, based out of the town of Greeley, will compete in the APRS Launch Energy Series for 2015 and beyond, promoting local talent from Colorado as well as the surrounding states (Utah, Wyoming, Kansas, etc.). The team is owned by William Steadman III, owner of the Steadman Raceway Group, and Robert J. Hastings, a local oil magnate.
For the 2015 season, the team will run an all-rookie lineup in their trio of Lenards:
-Seventeen year old Jethro Jones joins the team in the #72, bringing his Modified experience to the team. His car will be sponsored by Furniture Row and their subsidiary Denver Mattress.
-The #82 entry, sponsored by Wyoming restaurant chain Taco John's will be driven by Lucas Gage, an 18-year-old Wyoming native who has been prominent in that state's Drag racing scene.
-And competing in the third RMR, the #92, will be young Colorado Super Stock racer Dexter Fairburn. His ride will be supported by the Dish Network.

OOC: Didn't realize that the other full time spots were reserved for your Project 4. Changed RMR's 4th entry to be part time instead.
RMR adds part-time entry
Rocky Mountain Racers, based in Greely, Colorado will add another car to their lineup. However the 4th entry will be a part time one. HotShot Energy Drink will sponsor the #62 Lenard R37 for several rookie drivers, joining the three full-time entries of Jethro Jones, Lucas Gage, and Dexter Fairburn.
The drivers for the #62 will include Brittany Henderson, Kellie Henderson, Ben Schneider and Jesse Simon.

Rookie of the Year eligibility and system to change
It was announced by APRS' CEO, Madeleine Fay, that the Hanmore Rookie of the Year eligibility and system will change drastically in the 2015 season.
"We found out during the course of 2014 that not always the highest driver in points is the best driver at all, and this forced us to take a decision of changing the Rookies system".
In 2015 the eligibility will change drastically, as part-time drivers will be included as Rookie of the Year contestants, as long as they run a minimum of 16 races.
The system used in 2015 will also be different from 2015, as the average results from each rookie will count towards their Hanmore Rookie of the Year bid.
Joint efforts between rookies will also be eligible.
The system will also apply to the APRS Imago Sportsman Tour, but the minimum of races will be 8.
Part-Time Rules
Please send me the part-time schedules until December 31.
Partial Schedule restrictions
Launch Energy Series: 14 races (Rookies minimum of 16) - Apart from Special Events, everyone is automatically entered to those.
Imago Sportsman Tour: 6 races (Rookies minimum of 8 ) - Apart from Special Events, everyone is automatically entered to those.

Each weekend has two races, but each race has a different field, you were supposed to send in 16 race weekend apart from Daytona, Talladega and Road America and the Rookie Challenge (rookies only race, will not count as part of the ROTY bid) because everyone is entered at those.
Example (Steve Gareth Jr. ROTY bid): Homestead, Road Atlanta, Columbia, Ohio, Watkins Glen, New York Autoring, New Hampshire, Road Gatineau, Chicagoland, Peoria, Grand Detour, Indianapolis, Salem, Memphis, Texas, COTA. - 16 races overall

Re: 2017 Professional Auto Racing Tour (Silly Season)
PRE-SEASON DAY 1 - UPSETS SHOW THE WAY ON A CLOUDY DAY
John Gerhart Jr. was the fastest car in Pre-Season testing Day 1 at California.
First Day of Preseason Testing at the Auto Club Speedway and the rookies start to show pretty decent speed, as John Gerhart Jr., driving the Lucas Oil #12 for Project 4 was the fastest driver between the 24 that ran in the first day, but all eyes were on Hank Junior Wheatfarmer, Mike Dennis Jr and Charlie Martin as all did several solid laps and ended in 3rd, 4th and 9th, respectively. It's a big evolution in the offseason, All-American Racers was bought out by Autosport France and became their Research and Develpment team, the surprise is that they outpaced their de facto teammates by a far margin.
Hank Junior Wheatfarmer was 3rd in the Stelling Country Draft #17, while Rebecca Pellerin was only 19th in the Pizza Delight #27.
Other notables in pre-season testing were Fernando Jurnal, bringing the TurboSports Nemoto to the second place in the time charts, Jurnal was a constant threat to win in 2014, but never got it done. The Phoenix Autosport teammates Chris Young and Ashley Richardson showed up the same pace as 2014, scoring 5th and 6th. Jack Patterson, returning from an injury in the 2014 pre-season testing, quickly got back in shape, being the 7th fastest, the 2013 champion has a strong shot to take his second title. Jody White brought home a solid 8th place with the Speed Enterprises #3. White that replaced James Kleiber in his famous #3 after his fatal crash at Watkins Glen in 1998, and quickly put the Richards brothers car in Victory Lane in a thrilling and emotional finish with Marcus Stanton at Salem, only a few weeks after Kleiber's passing.
Megumi Tachibana closed the Top 10, and to no surprise of anyone the Pete Williams Enterprises cars ended in second-to-last and last respectively, Pete Williams, the 69 year old owner driver is known for having terribly slow cars.
Two teams that had difficulties all day long were Marcus Stanton Racing, Autosport France and Steve Gareth Racing, The former one had reliability issues with Connie Brooks #26, driving for Marcus Stanton , blew up early and practice and didn't set fully competitive laps, while Autosport France and Steve Gareth cars were moderately off the pace, just like Aaron Beckett, the slowest of the Speed Enterprises cars.
PRE-SEASON DAY 2 - ROOKIES STILL FAST
Allison Smith and Julia O'Brien topped the charts in day 2
Day 2 at Fontana, 25 cars and the rookies still show up as some of the most dependable and fast drivers. Allison Smith, Jr, driving for Racing for a Good Cause and Julia O'Brien for Emmanuel Goldstein and Timmy Welsch for TurboSports were the Top 3. Keighley Russell, driving for his own team set the 4th fastest car,and reportedly may try running more races in the season, instead of only showing up at Canada.
In 5th, 6th and 10th were three of the Rocky Mountain Racers cars, Lucas Gage, Dexter Fairburn and Jesse Simon, that will share the 62 with three more drivers, their teammate Jethro Jones didn't had the same speed and ended with the 17th fastest time.
Other two drivers that didn't showed the same speed as their teammates were Anthony Wash and Bobby Auteberry, that didn't had the same success as Charlie Martin, Hank Junior Wheatfarmer and Mike Dennis Jr., as they ended their sessions in 19th and 21st respectively.
The Microtransaction Motorsports car didn't showed any speed, just like Naomi Alnako, the last of the TurboSports cars, Alnako crashed early in the testing session, while Austin Sanders was off the pace.

Burning Heat! Motorsports Debuts on APRS Superspeedway Rookie Testing Day
Vic Corey drove a stock car for the first time at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana today, as part the first test weekend in the run-up to next year's APRS Launch Energy Series. Despite finishing the day in 20th among the rookie participants, Corey, former Formula F1500 standout, remains confident about his chances for the season. "We're a new team, starting completely fresh, and it's my first time ever driving on an oval this big, but we still managed to out-drive a couple of the experienced hands. There's still a few more weeks and a few more tweaks left to make before we're doing this for real."
Team owner and crew chief Jaden Knight was more bearish about their prospects in 2015. "Forty-second out of forty-nine cars isn't going to get us very far. Not if Burning Heat! is going to be around next year. We've got some high expectations to meet, and we aren't even close."
