Delgado Heartbroken to Lose Out on Championship

In a position where he could have potentially won the 2013 ASCC Championship at Daytona, one of his favorite tracks, Tom Delgado once again comes up completely empty. The 39-year old 4-division race winner ended his career on a low as the lack of reliability on the #37 Miller Lite Lenard struck again on the final lap.

"I did everything humanly possible to win this damn thing. It just wasn't meant to be, and I'm absolutely devastated" Delgado said as he climbed out of his car for the final time. "I came to ASCC seeking a championship, and to come this close and not win it in the end is a bitter pill to swallow. Hopefully there are better days ahead for Ocean Motorsports, because I've had a lot of fun with these guys. They gave me everything they had today and all season. I'm indebted to the Munson family for giving me another chance and this time I'm leaving on what I hope are very good terms" Delgado added.
