Brinson and team plan on 2014 return, provided funding can be found
Provided sponsorship for the team comes through, road ringer Matthew Brinson plans on returning for a second season in TM Lights competition.
"It's been a very decent debut season for us" says Brinson. "We've run into some really bad luck in the second half of the year but I'm really impressed with how consistent we've been able to run. We're a small little team and even though we may not have some of the resources like the bigger guys, we still manage to get the job done. I'd like to have done a bit better on the road courses this season, granted we nearly won Road Atlanta but I'm happy nonetheless."
"Ultimately it's going to come down to sponsorship. I plan on returning if I can but right now, we've got nothing set in stone for 2014. We were put in a hole when Pharb never held up their end of the deal and MyCleanPC hasn't said anything about renewing the contract that we have right now. So as of now, we'll either need to find another primary or possibly find a second driver carrying some form of sponsorship."
The owner/driver also stated that he doesn't plan on switching to another manufacturer and intends to use a Tremwell chassis for a second season.

Liam O' Connor Insults Teammates @ PSI Already!
"I want #48 because I'm twice as good as Buffy Boreanaz (#24) and three times better than Thurston Blood (#16)," bragged TM Lights new comer, Irishman Liam O' Connor.
"I'm a true champion and I'm going to prove it to everyone-- especially my teammates. They're being served notice right now."
Blood responded, "He's a bloody wanker so say no more. Evil is still afoot. And I'm almost out of that nancy-boy hair-gel I like so much. Quickly, to the Angel-mobile, away!"

Ernest Lewis Racing applies for a two car team
ELR, has submitted a request to continue their TM Lights campaign in 2014. Since mega team DeGarmo Enterprises has the money *cough* their team got the rights to the 88, Steve Holiday Junior's former number, Mr Holiday has asked to use the 56, his famous number when he raced late models in his home-state of Oklahoma. Michael Humpfreys, former ASCC driver, who joined the program late November, is likely requesting the 09, Humpfreys's ASCC number with James Dalton.
The team will likely stay with Bolden.
(OOC : The DeGarmo thing is intended as a joke )

Team CTR Signs Victor Kane
Victor Kane, the 2013 Best-in-Class of Jinx Racing School, has been signed by Team CTR to drive the #6 Autopart International Lenard. Kane, who was identified as one of the strongest prospects to come from the institution, was recommended to the team when it was known that they were seeking younger talent for their second car. He joins endurance racer Sebastien Dubois at the new-look Team CTR for 2014. There is currently no word on whether Jinx Racing School would come on board as a sponsor for the 6 team, although speculation in this regard has been rampant.
(OOC: I'll leave it to Jinx to write Victor Kane's statement).

Richard Scott May Do Double Duty
Rumor has it that FARC Elite Series driver Richard Scott, currently preparing for his second full season in the series, is interested in possibly running a full TM Lights schedule as well. Scott has previously been linked with upstart Laser Motorsports, but is also reportedly interested in other outfits, including DeGarmo Enterprises and Great Lakes Motorsports. However, if he is not picked up, he is expected to move up to the series in 2015 instead.

"I am super excited to be signed for 2014 in the TM Lites Series. I entered the Jinx Racing School with very high hopes and ended my tenure with pretty good performance. Jinx himself signed me to run in some endurance races with him which was a huge honor for me. I have wanted to make it to the TM Master Cup Series at some point in my career and I'm happy to say that Jinx himself spotted this opportunity with Team CTR. He brokered the deal as my agent and mentor. I'm excited to be partnered with a team with so much potential. I'm hoping for a great year of success for both the team and myself to possibly bring a future championship run." -Insane Victor Kane
Jinx Rodriguez on Victor Kane for 2014
"I am proud and honored to say that Victor Kane was by far the best student I've ever had. He is without a doubt one of the best drivers in the world. He is a bit young and will need some fine tuning over the course of his career, but I feel that he could be champion soon. As promised I will continue to support his growth throughout his racing career and Jinx Racing School will provide some sponsorship money to the team as well as a sign of support. It is true that I will be driving for DeGarmo and I plan on battling with Victor throughout the season. Only time will tell as to who is better right? Anyway best of luck to everyone." -Jinx Rodriguez

Team Thunder to reunite with Dan Richards
Dan Richards and Team Thunder have had major success in the past, with Richards winning the 2012 Rockford 200 driving the infamous 07 for the Cleveland, Ohio-based outfit. Now, both parties hope to rekindle past glory and have reunited for the 2014 season. Richards signed with his former outfit after learning that he would not return to EV Racing. Sponsorship is likely to stay the same, with Bad Boy Power Drink signed on-board in a long-term deal. Phoenix Warehouse will jump on-board as an associate sponsor.

Nemoto Returns with EV Racing
Nemoto announced that it has returned to the TM Lights series with EV Racing. Despite being a powerhouse team in the past, EV Racing has, of late, gained notoriety for operating on a shoestring budget with its familiar unsponsored #133 car.
EV Racing has a three car effort confirmed, with sponsorship lined up for two of their three cars. The team will carry numbers 134, 135, and 136. No drivers have been confirmed, but EV Racing management hinted that their ambitions are more grounded than those of other teams.
"We're in. They're not. Signing with us matters a hell of a lot more." EV Racing team owner Earl Verhoeven stated.
"There's a bunch of really good drivers out there that should probably think twice about this coming season."
Team Timothy Adds Two Cars, Eagler Sponsorship?
Scattered reports that the Eagler sponsorship may be headed to Team Timothy may be bearing some fruit. Team Timothy owner Dan Timothy was recently informed that he had secured places on the TM Lights grid for three cars. Timothy, a former TM Master Cup driver, said that having three cars is "a relief".
"Helps us sell some of the space on the good ol' 68... but we got more than just the 68 car this season. It's got friends just as fast as it is." Timothy said.
"Friends that may help us fly. It's a relief, honestly."
Team Timothy has its usual car number 68 on the grid, but also has car numbers 62 and 69 allocated to it. Timothy previously competed in the TM Master Cup series with car #68, but also with a #66 car, "because I was too damn cheap to make a decal for a number that wasn't 6 or 8."
Timothy runs the only team with a Canadian license, and it's believed they have been in contact with Morgan Le Fay, but beyond that, Team Timothy has not had much contact with other drivers.

HQS bring in Barney Ward to run #20 car when Atkins is not in the car
HQS Racing have brought in Barney Ward to share the #20 car with Ben Atkins. Ward has been in Dash Cup for Atlantic Motorsports in 2013, scoring a solid top 10 result in points despite missing a few races. Ward also finished 2nd in Dash Cup's most prestigious race; the Spa GP.
Ward is driving for Moretti GP in Dash Cup in 2014, but Ward will be able to run his share of TM Lights races due to the strung out schedule the Dash Cup runs, with huge breaks between race weekends.

Zavala may have a new ride
Venezuelan Mariano Zavala revealed that he has been in talks with at least one team to contest the 2014 TM Lights season with.
Enterline Motorsports, the team he won 2 poles with in 2013, has remained silent on their plans, but it is implied that Zavala has been given the go-ahead to look elsewhere.
Zavala claims that he has been making arrangements with a team that has had, in his own words, a "sudden vacancy". Wherever he ends up, he will almost certainly bring the backing of Venezuela's state-owned oil industry.

With Holiday Jr.'s signing, he will be the fourth different driver to have run the #18.  Holiday Jr. is reported to be bring over the sponsor he carried last year, Taylor Candy, as an associate sponsor on the car as well.
More, in the statement, gave his thoughts on the deal and on Holiday Jr.:
"Steve [Holiday Jr.] has got a lot of talent. Â He showed last year that he can competite and that's what we need on this #18 team right now. Â He also gives us another company to help us with funding and that's a plus too."

Ernest Lewis Racing to focus on TMMC, Holiday cut loose.
Team owner, Ernest Lewis, spoke at a team conference today, saying that the team is going in a different focus. The team will no longer race in TM Lights, instead applying for TMMC's IT campaign. Micheal Humpfreys, will be staying with the operation.
Holiday Junior, who finished 10th in points last season, was unexpectedly cut loose. Holiday found a home with Great Lakes Motorsports.
Holiday : Really unexpected, for this change, may be cost related? I have no clue. GLM could be a great change for me, team won last year, maybe with my expertise, we can be a title contender.
*The irony here is Holiday is taking over after Vijay Pushanda left for better opportunities. They had a little incident at Road Atlanta, after the two were involved in a wreck*

Zavala to Matthews; second car added
It didn't take long for Mariano Zavala to land on his feet.
Matthews Motorsports, fresh off losing Brooke Ingwersen to the Lynxe Women's Team, found an unlikely replacement in the Venezuelan national, who will bring sponsorship from the South American country's government-owned oil company, PDVSA.
In a somewhat surprising development, the No. 61 Saar Carolina will not display the company's logos prominently, but will instead carry the logos of its U.S.-based subsidiary, Citgo.
"The Citgo name is well-known in not just New England, but the whole country," team boss Ryan Matthews said. "Nobody talks about the PDVSA sign visible from Fenway Park. That's a brand identity we wanted to leverage."
Matthews Motorsports also announced TM Lights officials granted the team a second car, to be numbered 62. The team will be soliciting driver/sponsor inquiries effective immediately.

Roda still searching for drive in 2014
Italian racer Giovanni Roda, who recently finished 6th at the TMMC finale at Decatur in the #228 entry, is still searching for a ride in 2014, after it emerged MRT would not be successful in running a second entry in TM Lights next season.
Roda formerly ran his own team Trueba in Formula A, but his staff's lack of experience in stock cars has led him to try and find an experienced team to link up with. Roda is well known for his long-running endorsement deal with Ray-Ban, whose logos have featured prominently on cars he has run over the years.
"Unfortunately we couldn't get a deal together with MRT, which is unfortunate seeing as I already knew the team very well," said Roda. "The economic conditions meant the car simply wasn't there for me to drive. So I'm listening to any offers that are forthcoming."
"I've not been handed many chances in this new career path, but I feel like those I have had, I've grabbed with both hands. I was really happy with my performance at Decatur, fighting off many of the more experienced hands in the championship. I am ready for a TM Lights campaign, of that I am sure."
If a deal in TM Lights or even TMMC is not forthcoming, it is expected Roda will instead continue racing in World GTs for Maserati and look to enter the Dash Cup or TM Lights in 2015.

Luke Ocean to drive for a EV Racing for 2014 TM Lights Season
"I am happy to announce that since my sister's team was unable to run a full-time car for me in the FARC Elite Series, I will be driving for EV Racing during the 2014 TM Lights Season. I wasn't able to do much last season, so I hope I am able to prove my worth to the team". - Luke Ocean
Luke Ocean will drive full-time in TM Lights in 2014, hence FARC part-time will work perfectly.
He has one TM Master Cup Start, where he finished outside of the points and has been competing in select races in FARC.
He will pilot the #134 car.

Spaniard Carlos Cardona looking to make TM Lights Debut for 2014
Carlos Cardona, A spanish, rising, racing driver from Valencia is looking to secure a seat for Tm Lights for 2014.
Carlos Cardona, 18, is currently leading the Spanish Formula 3 Championship and his performance has somewhat caught the attention to some of TM Light's Teams. Carlos Cardona has been in talks with Team Timothy, Roderick Motorsports, Degarmo Enterprises and EV Racing.
Carlos Cardona started karting in the Spanish Cadet Championship in 2005 when he was 9 years old. Taking his first cadet title the following year, he moved to Formula K in 2007 until 2011 where he won 3 consecutive titles (2009, 2010, 2011) before moving to the Spanish Formula 3 championship in 2012.
There was also some speculation from several Spanish Newspapers that Cardona will race in TM Lights for Roderick Motorpsorts if he was to win the Championship.
Cardona's long term Sponsor Repsol could sponsor his TM Lights Car if he does move into Tm Lights which could also be a key to bringing more Spanish Drivers into the series and a possible full-time ride for Spanish TMMC driver Andreas Laporta.
Andreas Laporta commented on Cardona's performance as being a "Rising Star in Spain"

Young Driver Ethan Everett is looking to return to TM Lights from ASCC.
Ethan Everett who won his first TM lights race on his debut has been in talks with several avaliable teams.
Everett also mentioned in a private interview that he is looking to move back up to TM Master Cup Series.
"I have now started to look at opportunities and offers to race in TM Lights. As i am still a very young man, my main target would be now to focus on returning to the TM Master Cup Series where i was one of the youngest drivers to start a race."
He also admitted that the switch from TMMC to ASCC was a mistake.
"I think moving to ASCC was a mistake, because i was 19 when i moved to ASCC and i started to feel a bit homesick racing away from TMMC. I can also agree that moving from TMMC was too soon for me, so this is why i'm planning to return to TM Lights."

Jinx Racing on 2014
"Since we can finally confirm everything for 2014, here's the official run down: I, Jinx Rodriguez, will drive for my own team, Jinx Racing for the 2014 TMMC IT Trophy in the #86 Jimmie John's Lenard and I will also drive full time in the 2014 TM Lites for Owen Degarmo in the #86 Jimmie John's car. I'm excited and looking forward to a great 2014. Hopefully we can break into the win column as a team and I personally hope to win a race or two as well." Jinx Rodriguez

Listen, the only people that should be taking action against someone posting stuff about drivers they don't own are the admins or the owner of the driver. The rest of us should really just butt out. Besides, it's really only frowned upon when the person claims it as a truth. Ruben is just posting rumours, which aren't necessarily true. I'm sure Cooper would've said something to him by now anyways if he didn't like what Ruben was saying

^ Thank you.
However, I personally believe that writing nonsense for the sake of writing nonsense (especially if it isn't meant to be humorous) is a waste of energy that could have been used for slightly better things.

This is only my 4th week here on the forum and I'm still learning how to use it. Besides, I did follow the comment Cynon put down which made me want to make rumours about other drivers. That's why I thought I meant to do this if I want to. Also bsoyuz, I'd rather you explain to me what I've asked you rather than you go up in a strop. Because people are gonna see this and they are gonna start commenting about it. And yes, I have made a character of my own on the Tm lights section. Cynon taught me how to do it. You can have a look at the article I've posted on this section. Thanks

Saar do Brasil possibly joining TM Ranks
The brazilian stock car racing team, Saar do Brasil, that already has two cars running the TM Master Cup Series Independent's Trophy could end up running TM Lights in order to increase the participation of brazilian drivers in stock car racing, and increasing the popularity of StockCar Racing in Brazil.
The team's lineup is up in the air, as well as if they're indeed going to race in TM Lights. Rumors say that if their entries get approved, they could have a 3 car team formed by brazilians only.
Drivers that could possibly take the seat are: LÃa Serroni, 2012 Road America winner César Vila Nova, João Paulo Vidal, and others.
Sponsorship is also rumored as the team usually gets a lot of support from the brazilian government, which may be increased as the cars could possibly be sponsored by Petrobras, Eletrobrás and BNDES
(OOC: If this actually gets approved, PM me about drivers.Since this is the brazilian equivalent of Team Saar USA, yeah, BR's only.)

Carlos Cardona looking to land TM Lights or Dashcup Seat
Carlos Cardona, Spanish F3 2014 world Champion is now determined to land a seat at either Dashcup or TM lights.
Cardona, who won the championship on the last race for F3 is now expecting to move up to the big stage in Stock Car Racing in hoping to continue achieving success.
Cardona's manager, Jose, said in a spanish interview that Cardona is becoming a key factor of bringing more Spanish drivers and also mentioned that Cardona potential success will bring in more investments to Spain with a possibility of bringing in more Spanish sponsors as well as expanding into a racing team.
Cardona also mentioned that an unusual move to Stock Car Racing is the only potential chance to get a drive and also said that he is (at some point) getting tired of racing Open-wheel cars.
"I understand for some people that a possibility of me moving to Stock cars is a very odd decision to make. But still, this is what i've decided planning to do."
Recently, there was rumours that Cardona will promote to a seat at TM lights with Roderick Motorsports but was later denied by Cardona's manager.

Peak Williamson Race Tech concerned
Peak Williamson Race Tech, the new outfit who have attempted to enter TM Lights - as well as FARC and the Dash Cup - have become increasingly concerned at the lack of communication from series officials as to whether or not PWRT have gained entry into any of the series. This is a major issue for PWRT as their contract with Spaniard Carlos Cardona was for a TM Lights seat and the talented young driver will walk from the deal if it is not fulfilled. PWRT have sent Cardona's info and the livery for the #27 Repsol Lenard to TM Lights management and say that they have yet to hear from them as to whether the entry has been confirmed. It is possible that PWRT could buy their way into the series by taking over an existing team, but co-owner and team principal Rex Williamson stated that they prefer to enter a completely new team if possible.

PWRT has drivers, waiting for officials
Peak Williamson Race Tech has now confirmed that it has signed two drivers up for the 2014 season even though it has not yet been confirmed whether they have an entry yet. The two rookie drivers are Carlos Cardona of Spain and Zachary Fitzwater of Australia. Both driver's deals are for TM Lights and have a clause that releases them if PWRT does not run in TM Lights for 2014.
If PWRT does get in, Cardona will drive the #26 Repsol Lenard and Fitzwater will drive the #59 Wilson Security Lenard.

Carlos Cardona desperate for TM Lights Seat
Carlos Cardona is still looking for a seat for TM Lights despite being realased from his PWTR contract.
Carlos Cardona has been told by Cardona's Manager and some of the officials that he will have to bail out searching for a seat at Tm Lights and look at other opportunities but has still mentioned that he is still on course for a seat in 2014.
However Cardona's Manager Jose commented at a private interview in Barcelona that he would consider Cardona to look at other opportunities where he can gain more experience to racing Cars.
"It suddenly gets to a point were he (Cardona) is no longer in the running for a seat for 2014. But despite his beggings in which i've heard from him, we will make sure he gets at least an opportunity somewhere he can gain some more experience into racing Cars. It is important that he gets enough experience so that this can possibly increase chances of getting a race Seat."

PWRT Academy looking for rides for their drivers
The Peak Williamson Race Tech Academy, the driver management division of newly formed FARC team Peak Williamson Race Tech, are still looking for rides for a number of talented drivers on their books. Italian-American racer Kris Pagano has already been signed by EV Racing to run in the #135 Duracell Lenard.
PWRT understand that there is still about 4 seats that remain unfilled at Team Timothy, Brinson Engineering and Wolfesport and have offered the services of Jaska Eriksen, Trey Zavala, Nickolas Salas, Liliana Machado and Gabriella Castell to said teams.

Carlos Cardona to race for Tm Lights Debut with Team Timothy
Young Spanish Driver from Valencia, Carlos Cardona will make his TM Lights debut with Team Timothy. He will partner Durane Ridman and Dillon Buchanan and he will be driving the #69 EAGLER Nemoto Car.
Carlos Cardona, 18, was being discussed with his manager Jose about what he would be doing next year (in 2014) following his earlier negotiations of securing a drive with PEAK Williamson in either Dashcup or TM Lights has failed due to insufficient funding, however he was able to secure a seat with the same team in FARC Elite Series. But following a recent discussion with Jose and the manager of Team Timothy, Cardona was been offered a contract to race for them, in which he has accepted it., despite still having a contract with FARC.
Cardona has described his move to TM Lights as like "A Miracle" and a dream come true.
Cardona's debut with TM Lights will mean that his contract with FARC will be reduced to Part-Time and that fellow Spaniard Mateo Rosa will take over as Full-time Role for the team.

Ex-Formula Overdrive competitor Alessio Fabiani in job search
Italian driver Alessio Fabiani has been left in search of a new drive following his release from the FIAM Engineering development programme and the subsequent collapse of the Formula Overdrive championship where he was set to drive for Berenelli Motorsport(?).
The Italian suffered a difficult first season in the US failing to consistently score points despite a couple of outstanding runs where he was found further towards the front of the pack than usual. Even so, he failed to match the success of 2012 in which he won the Italian F3000 championship.
Fabiani has since made an effort to get in contact with TM Lights teams however he has failed to secure any significant contract negotiations with anyone as of yet.

TM Lights is starting its 2014 season, but FARC is on 2015. So he could run both series.
That doesn't sound like the easiest or most convenient route to take, but there's no stopping you.
