2014 Aaron's 499 @ Talladega - Sprint Cup Series
It's Talladega, folks. The biggest, baddest track in all of NASCAR. Last year's race featured one of the biggest upsets in NASCAR history as the two Davids [Ragan], [Gilliland] beats the Goliaths.
Last week at Richmond, Joey Logano captured his 2nd win of the season, which pretty much guarenteed him into the Chase.
Who will win Sunday?

Because making the donations to fund a backmarker team for a race is not a great story. NOPE. NOT AT ALL.

I'm personally okay with the sponsor, it gives a little team like Phil Parsons Racing some funds that haven't been there all season, since I saw the 98 on some race-weekends had 0 sponsorship...
It be a great story if he gets a top 10, but it's Dega, anything can happen
Re: 2014 Aaron's 499 @ Talladega - Sprint Cup Series
I think he means for meme value of it, You have to question how many people actuallywanted to get the sponsor on the car as a legitimate thing for crowdsourcing and to the support the bitcoin program Dogecoin and how many people wanted to get their "funny" meme on the car as a joke.RealRacer4 wrote:Memoriesallbutdone wrote:BWardboy88 wrote:DOGECOIN

I give the members of Reddit credit for accomplishing this. However I don't like the idea of an internet meme being a primary sponsor on a car.

The Dogecoin community seems to have truly gotten serious about making sure it has longevity and is seriously used as a Bitcoin alternative.
We'll see how that goes.

I'm one of the people who donated to the car, and I think it's more of a demographic thing. Men 18-49 will love this idea and laugh at it, and gets the idea out there. We are not facebook (we don't have some truly old users), and I just think this is a sponsor, some will get it, and some wont.

The FOX commentators need to quit defending Danica. In all honesty though, both Danica and Brad were forcing the issue. Thankfully, no harm was done.
Well, I guess some harm was done on Brad after all...

I'm sorry, but I've been losing respect from Brad for the last few weeks. I mean, don't get me wrong, the story about how he moved up to NASCAR is great. But lately, he's coming off as a driver who thinks everyone should move over for him and every little thing that happens is everyone but his fault.

To be honest, I'd rather be running 6 laps down but in the pack than 12 laps down and putt around.
Not much Kes would of done, tire went down, and if a tire goes down on a superspeedway, there isn't much you can do, especially when you're in a corner.

Team Penske just earned Reject Team of the Week. Maybe they should leave Plate racing altogether.
I feel so sorry for Michael Annett. Two good races ruined in the closing laps.

So why was Kez racing so hard six laps down? Remember the Daytona night races a few years back where David Reutimann was six laps down with 50 to go and got nearly all of them back? There ya go.
Not taking away from the fact that the incident was silly by saying that though.
