Apparently it was a front wing failure that led to Hamilton's Crash.
Here's the Top-5 from today's testing.
1 Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) 1:27.104
2 Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) 1:27.820
3 Valtteri Bottas (Williams) 1:30.082
4 Sergio Perez (Force India) 1:33.161
5 Jean-Eric Vergne (Toro Rosso) 1:36.530

It's rained in Jerez, so Pirelli decided to make this the wet weather day, and they've laid down some more water on the circuit.

I personally think that Monaco & Spa should be the only races with double points. Monaco is obvious, but my reasoning for Spa is because it's the longest circuit on the calendar

Again, the coolest cars are in the rear (except for Caterham)

3 of the final 5 cars are Renault powered...only 76 laps completed by them, 200 less than Ferrari and 420 less than Mercedes powered cars. Supposedly down to an ERS problem on Renault cars.
Another note to make, is that the fastest time of the day (a 1:23.2 by Kevin Magnussen) is 5 seconds slower than most laps being set in last years Jerez testing sessions. The fastest time was achieved by Felipe Massa with a 1:17.9. Albeit, the cars are running new aero configs with the introduction of turbos and new ERS systems so undoubtedly there would be a large learning gradient since last year.

The only three good looking cars on the grid are the Mercedes, Ferrari (not really but whatever) and the Red Bull. Everything else:

This is essentially a whole new set of cars. Not a car that has slight changes here and there from the last year. I'm not too worried. Once they make it to Melbourne, they'll have most of the kinks ironed out, and run the cars like it's a walk in the park

By far the best thing about the new engines is the noise they make:

Re: 2014 Formula One World Championship - The teams and drivers of next season
And Renault fill the bottom 3 results once again
Red Bull concluded their test session with 7 laps today and combined amount of 21-the leas of any team.
Toro Rosso managed 2 laps more today than Red Bull. After making their way out onto track, JEV stopped not much further a long on the same lap marking the end of their Jerez testing. They managed a combined amount of 54.
Caterham managed a much better 54 laps with Kobayashi today, but that still leaves them with the 4th least amount of laps run and were the fastest of the Renault's in 9th...7 seconds off 8th placed Nico Rosberg and 11 seconds from Marussia's Jules Bianchi in 6th.
Mercedes look on top of it engine-wise, reliable and fast. Ferrari are fast but aren't immune to reliability woes-both Ferrari and Sauber have stopped on track at least once this week.

Little bit of a bump here, but Williams will bring back the iconic Martini paint scheme to F1 for 2014.

YES YES YES YES.
Williams can do some great races this year. Now I hope that Felipe Massa doesn't retires from F1 in the next two years (Normally all brazilians that race for Williams retire or died, in the case of Ayrton Senna, the other brazilian was Nelson Piquet Sr.)

As much as i love Simona, I don't know if she'll make it to the F1 grid. Doesn't Sauber still have Van Der Guardrail and Russ-Man?
