Awhile ago I told my brother that I wouldn't watch wrestling again unless Kia Stevens (Awesome Kong) was back on tv. Apparently, she has returned to TNA now, so I guess that means I need to fire up the dvr and get back into it

What else do you expect out of the WWE? It only caters to what it wants, not what the fans want. It's no surprise that the company is bleeding money like it is.
The WWE simply does not get it, and their ignorance will lead to their undoing.

#CancelTheWWENetwork is still trending in the US after 12 hours, but WWE's going even more issues to worry with.
The place where their broadcasting RAW tonight in Hartford, Connecticut is getting hit by a snowstorm, a travel ban is being placed in affect for the entire state at 9 PM and that is during the time WWE runs their show, Smackdown taping for tomorrow has been effectively cancelled as apparently talent have been told they don't have to show up.

Futhermore Smackdown will now be in Hartford, CT (don't know where it was originally) live on Thursday night. Just turned on Raw and it seems they're doing live interviews with wrestlers who are currently inside WWE HQ at Hartford. Right now is Seth Rollins discussing his Triple Threat title match with MAGGLE

Zayn, Blake and Murphy, Bayley, Balor, Corbin.
Re: The Wrestling Thread
I see them doing a screw finish for Zayn and Owens.
In New Japan news, AJ Styles picked up the IWGP Title for the 2nd time after defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi in a grueling (and bloody thanks to Tanahashi conking heads with an interfering Matt Jackson) match. It also contributed to a clean sleep by the Bullet Club in title matches as Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows took the IWGP Tag Titles back from Meiyu Tag and The Young Bucks took the Junior tag titles from reDragon.

idk why but I felt underwhelmed with Rival. Probably because I had to watch it on delay and was in and out of sleep from Neville/Balor to Zayn/Owens (I completely slept through the women's match)
Re: The Wrestling Thread
I kind of felt the same way. Felt Balor/Neville and Hideo/Breeze should've got more time. The Lucha Dragons tag match was out of control and not a good way, Corbin and Dempsey sucked. Divas 4-way and Owen/Zayn rocked though.Spannerhead29 (Nelson) wrote:idk why but I felt underwhelmed with Rival. Re: The Wrestling Thread
Meanwhile in Japan...
A Women's promotion named STARDOM had the main event title match of their most recent show devolve into a legitimate shoot fight as Yoshiko (The larger girl) beat the everlasting hell out of Act Yasukawa (The red haired and smaller girl). She suffered a cheekbone and nasal bone fracture as well as potential damage in both eyes. The attack is made more heinous by the fact that Act apparently just came off eye surgery to repair blindness in that eye and that her eye was the focus of the attack.
Condensed version of the match.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Perro Aguayo Jr who wrestles for the AAA promotion has passed away after an accident during a match, The incident occurred at a Mexican Independent promotion called "The Crash" when Rey Mysterio was attempting to set up the 619 and Aguayo caught the rope with his neck.
This follows a string of bad luck the promotion has been having of the past week, One of their biggest PPV's was rescheduled twice due to both rain and a national holiday, they had bus accident with office staff that killed one of staff members and now they've lot one of their biggest rudos (heels) in the company. Really tough week for them
RIP Perro.
