Race 08: Round of Russia

Woodard's attempt to charge to the front sputters out towards the end of the race...

It seems that when Greg Woodard finally sees a silver lining, it's usually a mirage. After being knocked out of the qualifiers at Karjala, Woodard was looking forward to the Round of Russia. Little did he know, he would be facing some adversity there.

Starting off, both PSI cars were knocked to the back of the Grid for failing post qualifying tech inspection, which was immediately protested. When Woodard was able to get into the top 10, forcing his way up in a more aggressive manner than his usual demeanor, Kurt Plissken, Woodard's teammate, was knocked out of contention by a collision by hometown favorite 'Kuzzie' and Chicago native, Ian Cooper. Add more issues during the race when the pit crew not only flubbed his pit stop, but sent him back to 27th. He would finish quietly, being the second to last car on the lead lap.
