2013 Pocono IndyCar 400 - Izod IndyCar Series - Pocono Raceway

This is the first time in 24 years that IndyCars have raced on the Tricky Triangle called Pocono Raceway.

Last time out, James Hinchcliffe dominated the Iowa race, leading 226 laps to his first oval victory. He is 66 back from points leader Helio Castroneves.

How will this race play out. We'll find out Sunday.

I'll be sitting on the concourse, but depending on how well it's attended, I might try and move up to a higher up seat.

I'd say that was dominant.

And to top it all off, Hinchtown led as many laps as ALL the Honda runners at Indy, and he spent the entire race putting in a great case for ROTR in what was arguably the combination to have.

This has been my most awaited race of the year other than Indy. I am really excited to see the Indycars back at Pocono. To you guys going, it's going to be a great race to see live. I went to the 500 this year, and it should be pretty similar, which is awesome.

I just find it hard to classify something as dominant when it has only one other competitor.

Well, since this race isn't conflicting with the Indianapolis 500 like the U.S. 500 did back in 1996, we should be fine.

Just because it's a tradition at one track doesn't mean it can't be used at other tracks. Yes, Michigan was a disaster, but today's drivers are a lot smarter then they were in '96, and besides, I don't see this as being a bad thing.

Taking the out three-wide starts at Indy would be messing with tradition, adding it to other races is not. That's like saying that they shouldn't say the "most famous words in motorsports" anywhere else but Indy since that's where they were first recited.

Pocono's one of the more wider tracks known to human, you could even try 6-wide if you're crazy enough to do so. There's no problem with doing 3-wide starts at tracks other than Indianapolis for IndyCar.

I believe it does now. After Kasey Kahne tore down some shrubs on the long pond straight, and Sadler stuffed his engine into the earthen bank behind the guard rail, Pocono installed fencing and SAFER barriers around the whole track

Marco's lap was f***ing quick. Everyone in the stands knew that was a pole lap the second he crossed the line. Simona surprised me with that lap, and Will Power's lap was severely disappointing because he could easily have won pole after his first lap.

Also, the Indy Lights race was decent for a blowout. A good battle for second, at least.
