I've decided to restart the IndyCar thread.

This is all the up-to-date information on the season so far. This thread will continue with results at Mid-Ohio.

I was at the Mid-Ohio race...

Race 12 of 18 - Honda 200 at Mid-Ohio presented by Westfield Insurance

1st - Scott Dixon (Finally, after five runner-up finishes, he gets his first win of the year.)
2nd - Dario Franchitti (8th podium this year.)
3rd - Ryan Hunter-Reay (Haven't seen much of this guy lately.)

Driver of the Race: Scott Dixon.

Reject of the Race: James Hinchcliffe.

Wilson out for season.

Justin Wilson, driver of the #22 Dreyer & Reinbold Racing machine, will be out for the remainder of the season with a fractured vertebrae, caused by a practice crash at Mid Ohio. Simon Pagenaud subbed for him at Mid Ohio, and Tomas Scheckter will sub for him at New Hampshire. Beyond that it is unknown. This is the second straight year a Dreyer & Reinbold driver has been injured racing, as last year Mike Conway was injured in a last lap crash in the Indy 500.

3rd time they had a driver injured. Ana Beatriz broke her wrist after St. Petersburg and Pagenaud replaced her the next race.

Wilson injured his wrist too, he just stayed in the car though.

Dang, no luck for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. I was hoping that both Justin and Ana would have decent seasons...

JUST ANNOUNCED: ABC will be the exclusive broadcast network partner for the IZOD IndyCar Series from 2013-18.

So if there gonna the EXCLUSIVE broadcast network partner, why are they only doing 5 races with Versus (soon-to-be NBC Sports) doing the other 13 and potentially more races? Not very exclusive if you ask me.

BTW, what do you think of Dan Wheldon test driving the 2012 Indycar (w/Road Course body kit) at Mid-Ohio? Looks good, IMO.

What a wreckfest today. Four cautions, three of them for wrecks off Turn 2, and one knocked down Porta Potty. And now the leader's wrecked. Not to mention, he's the points leader.

I want to know what the hell was the lapped car thinking racing like that. Hell, I want to know what the hell was Dario thinking coming down on Sato like that. Its this bone-headed kind of driving that makes this series a joke (like it wasn't enough having the likes of ESPN as a broadcast partner)

Sad that American Open Wheel racing's return to New Hampshire is marked with nothing but bad driving.

First IMSA last week with the ALMS, now Indycar this week. I am so damn frustraited now, what the hell is with everyone when it comes to rain? F****** idiots.

I thought IMSA were big morons with their officiating in the ALMS last week at Mid-Ohio, but Indycar has topped them today. If this is the kind of officiating I have to watch for the rest of the season, to hell with it. Was a bad idea to even turn on the race after the cowardly rain delay from the Cup race.

Oriol Servia is the real winner.

Giorgio Pantano will replace Wilson for Sonoma and Baltimore. For those of you who don't remember him, he unsuccessfully drove for Jordan in Formula 1 in 2004 and started two IndyCar races in 2005, takins 4th at Watkins Glen.

Based on the points system that's used in IndyCar, only Franchitti, Power, and Dixon remain in championship contention, although Dixon could be eliminated after Japan based on what happens there.
