During cross country practice this morning, we ran about 3 miles into town and back. Near the end of our run, our coach drove by in his 10 - 12 year-old Chrysler Concorde, and when he tried to turn left into the school's parking lot, his left-front ball joint failed!
Fortunately, as I said, this was on school grounds at low speed, and not on the highway or anything extremely dangerous. I have never seen a tire at that angle before (nor have I ever seen so much transmission fluid)!

3 miles in cross country? I started off at 4 last summer and only increased. No wonder I only did it for 2 months.SpeedDemon37 wrote:During cross country practice this morning, we ran about 3 miles into town and back. Re: Random Discussion Thread
It began pissing down about 30-40 minutes into the race. Everyone who was at the lower parts of the grandstand booked it to higher levels once it began to pour, it was a simultaneous "euoogh god, time to run" moment, i was laughing quite the lot. That rain didn't last, but it began to pour again right before the end of the race. There was this wall of fog past the mercedes-arena at the end of the race as well. Still, VLN did not disappoint. The Z4 and SLS GT3s make some of the best engine noises you will ever hear, outside of the early-spec Honda HSV-010 or the DBR9.Milan655 wrote:Wasn't it pissing down?RealRacingRoots wrote:Went to the Nürburgring and watched the VLN race. The only people with the ability to ban users have purple names. Unless one of the admins (purple names), tells you to watch your behavior, then assume you're in good standing. I haven't seen you do anything recently that warrants you being banned, so I wouldn't worry about that.Pyrozooka0 wrote:out of curiosity, is it normal to feel like you are about to be banned any minute now due to extremely stupid things you have said, or am I just insane? If you have any concerns about a specific user, either PM them and settle it with them, or if that doesn't work, that's what the admins are for.
You have some outlandish opinions and perceptions, but you're not the one getting your panties in a bunch over them.

B.Senna and F.Makowiecki end up winning GTE Pro. Great run from the both of them. It looks like after winning the Pokka Suzuka 1000km, Mako has finally stop binning cars all the time to fully utilise his massive amount of speed. Look out for this driver pair in the future, even with the Aston Vantage getting a rather decent boost from the dreaded BOP.Milan655 wrote:6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas is on now, FIA WEC: http://live.fiawec.com/

So Mercedes came out with a new commercial this week...
And to answer the question about Rush, I'm hoping to go see it this weekend. I pretty much decided I wanted to go see it the moment I found out about its announcement.
EDIT: I found a video that explains what Mercedes is promoting. It's pretty clever what they're trying to do.
