Debut for New Superspeedway Package, Reserve Drivers on Standby

New York Autoring will be the site of the debut of the new Superspeedway Package. In a test session held on Thursday, Damon Jones was on top of the practice charts with a time of 31.986 seconds, roughly equating to an average speed of 253.23 MPH. PCC Cup President John Kowalski said, "We gave this package a trial run at Talladega, and we got the highest ratings we've ever seen! It's obvious that the fans want more of this, so they get what they want!" Due to the potential for danger, reserve drivers for the various teams have been told to be prepared to step into the cars for the next race at Carbondale.

Rain in the Forecast for Qualifying

Tomorrow's forecast indicates scattered thunderstorms in the vicinity of the New York Autoring. This could potentially wash out qualifying. In the case of a wash-out, the grid will be set by Owner's Points. If a car is making it's debut for the season, the car will be ordered at the back of the grid based on it's position in the Qualifier.

Child Denied Autograph by Ryan Jefferies

After the first practice at New York Autoring, a young child, approximately age 5, was denied an autograph by the Ryan Jefferies, driver of the #91 Caterpillar Impala. When interviewed afterwards, Jefferies stated that he does not deal with kids well and that the kid "was a brat anyways." The child reportedly ran back to his parents and cried before stopping by Chester Benson's hauler to get some free candy.

Bell upset with Jefferies' refusal to sign autographs, Juveno calls out Jefferies and Johnson Racing in one sentence

One of the very few times we have seen Preston Bell upset was today, when a press release he read stated that Ryan Jefferies refused to sign an autograph for a 5-year-old fan of the PCC Cup Series just before the start of the new York Autoring Qualifying Race. (I haven't seen it yet.)

Preston Bell: C'mon, Ryan. Gimme a break! These fans are out here to see a race an' you refuse to give them autographs. Ah make sure every single one of mah fans that lines up to get an autograph leaves with a smile and an autographed piece o' merchandise in their hand(s). That's what ah don't like about top-tier drahvers; they expect to act like idiots an' still get a huge paycheck. Ah thought most of the people in this series had a heart. Guess not.

Barry Juveno: First off, Preston, shut the f**k up, and second, Jefferies an' da whole Johnson team are a bunch of biased f**kin' *ssholes who prolly can't win a damn race witout sneakin' some sort of advantage past da stupid officials, so I ain't surprised they suck dis year. Trust me, though. Dey'll sneak somethin' by soon.
