Las Vegas Autoring Qualifying Race
The race was pretty uneventful for the first 10 laps or so as Joe Craig pulled out to a large lead over the rest of the field.
On lap 11, Greg Maddox in the 78 slapped the wall and lost a lot of speed from a transfer spot. Up the track a bit at the same time, our good friend Stringfellow Vincent decides to push the issue between the 7 of Whitney Fuller and the 64 of Frank Azzaretto, turning them in front of about 8 cars. Azzarretto spun to the bottom of the track in front of Fuller, while Vincent suffered instant karmic retribution as AJ Murphy hooked him to the outside. Vincent spun in front of the 34 of Andy Lambert, who took a bit of damage. Along comes Greg Maddox, who runs into Azzaretto, who spins in front of the 111 of Greg Woodard. The 20 of Kensington, Jr. would also be collected as well as the 53 of Tammerzan. Vincent would be called to the hauler after the race.
After the restart, Lambert was heavily damaged and refused to repair his damage, knowing that he would be granted a Past Champion's Provisional. However, on lap 22, while he was being lapped, he pulled in front of the 3rd place driver Bobby Dollar. Dollar spun out the 34, then got run over from behind by the 91 of Ryan Jefferies. All 3 would continue on.
Casey Lester blew up from 10th under caution.
With only three laps to go while leading, Ramsey Coqinner in the 82 would slow on the frontstretch. He would pull into the pits and retire with a suspension failure.
Joe Craig pretty much dominated from that point on.

Re: Las Vegas Autoring Qualifying Race
Woodard angry that he was involved in something, he failed to make it past the qualifying race.
"Here we go again," Woodard would do a little circular motion with his hand, "I get a good qualifying position to race into the main event and whammo, Retro80 racing decides it's best for them to create a situation that collects others who didn't need to be involved." Woodard continued. "Sure Maddox had a part to play, he entered the corner too fast and hit the wall. But Vincent... he really didn't need to do that."
Daniel Foray will participate, seeing he finished the last race 3 laps down, and that he was able to avoid the catastrophe known as the qualifier.

Re: Las Vegas Autoring Qualifying Race
Alenko glad to finish despite not making it.
"Its better to at least come back to the pits with a complete car then to wreck it. Right now, we're really off the pace so my focus is to finish every session and this is a good step so far. Naturally, we'll start making an effort to get into the show once we get our consistancy up"

Re: Las Vegas Autoring Qualifying Race
Casey Lester: Uh... well, I was just running under the caution laps and then I felt the camshaft let go. That's all I can say. I really hate it for our guys to not give them a decent showing, although 10th wasn't bad. We probably would've got shuffled out of a transfer spot anyway. *angrily storms to hauler, bsically throws the door shut*

Joe Craig: That was awesome. The car drove great, and I didn't get wrecked by any teammates. I'm confident we'll have a great car on race day.

Tammerzan: it's a shame really. This has been a tough year for us so far, and we had bad luck here at Las Vegas.
