Well who would've thought it?! I guess Dale Jr will get lucky if the race was to end now and for Jeff Gordon too, he's been needing a win all season.

Win number 86, it may of been a rain win, but with his luck this year this win is something he deserved. good job giving it to him Jimmie!

Gordon fans are obviously going to be happy when he wins, even in such consequences. Stop trolling for once, please, Nelson, because frankly you're terrible at it.

So with the way some people treat rain wins, Gordon still has 85 (or fewer) victories?!?

Gordon has six wins because of rain. I just looked this up, so I might have missed one or two.
March 1996 Bristol 342 of 500 laps
July 1996 Talladega 129 of 188 laps*
May 1997 Charlotte 333 of 400 laps
November 1998 Atlanta 221 of 325 laps
June 2007 Pocono 106 of 200 laps
August 2012 Pocono 98 of 160 laps
*Was also due to darkness.
So, yes, to some people, Gordon has only 80 wins.

Rain wins may not be "legit" to some people, but I'd rather have Gordon have a chance at making the chase then lolgano

This.
There has been a report taht fans have been injured at Pocono. Following a lightning strike in the parking lot, Pocono Raceway has confirmed that there have been at least two injuries. No word on conditions of the injured.

Honestly not surprised by that. I've been in the stands during situations like that, it's very easy for someone to fall and get hurt or get trampled in the scramble to leave

Thanks, I couldn't think of how many wins of Gordon's had been rain (or darkness) shortened

If you're correct, that puts Jeff in a 3-way tie for first on the "Shortened Races Won" list, alongside Lee and Richard Pettyflyingturns89 wrote:PYLrulz wrote:So with the way some people treat rain wins, Gordon still has 85 (or fewer) victories?!?

I mean god, that Jeff Gordon guy is such a fluke.
Just imagine what would happen if fuel mileage wins were taken away just to satisfy all of the Danicahaters?!

It also puts him ahead of The Rat Bastard (Kyle Busch).

I'm just glad Jeff Gordon won. He's had enough bad luck for one season and he deserved the win.

Re: 2012 Pennsylvania 400 - Sprint Cup
Has anyone won a race without leading a green flag lap apart from Jeff Gordon in this race and David Ruitimann in the 2009 Coca-Cola 600.
Re: 2012 Pennsylvania 400 - Sprint Cup
I think when Kenseth won the 500 in 2009 he only led one lap before the yellow flag came out, or it came out the same lap he took the lead. Not sure lolSpannerhead29 (Nelson) wrote:Has anyone won a race without leading a green flag lap apart from Jeff Gordon in this race and David Ruitimann in the 2009 Coca-Cola 600.

He got the lead one lap before the last caution, boy wasn't that good timing.MPatterson1724 wrote:I think when Kenseth won the 500 in 2009 he only led one lap before the yellow flag came out, or it came out the same lap he took the lead.
