I see what you mean there, I think a loads of people have lost all respect for Danica from that Nationwide Race at Talladega earlier this year.
Re: 2012 AAA 400 - Sprint Cup Series
here are the official qualifying results:
http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2012/29/data/lineup.html
the lowest Chase drivers starting the race are Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr. who both start 24th and 25th respectively, so they'll have a lot of work to do.

My RaceBuddy decided to have some fun earlier and screw up Dale Jr.'s Roof Cam, now it's just using the rear camera.
Re: 2012 AAA 400 - Sprint Cup Series
I think Junior's roof cam died. Wolfwg's watching Junior on Hotpass and is getting the same thing.BWardboy88 wrote:My RaceBuddy decided to have some fun earlier and screw up Dale Jr.'s Roof Cam, now it's just using the rear camera.

This race is quickly becoming a challenger to New Hampshire and California for worst race of the year.

thats only because the drivers aren't bothered to show what they've really got what it takes to challenge for positions.
Re: 2012 AAA 400 - Sprint Cup Series
I still think that Texas is the worst this Year. The Race ran the entire Distance(Cali didn't do that) and At Least New Hampshire had more cautions then Texas did.
But yes, this Race is about as bad.

Brad and the top 3 end an absolute atrocious race on a high note.
Good win Kez...Brilliant fuel saving!
Hamlin vs Kez Vs Jimmie is appearing to be what it will be championship wise.

Re: 2012 AAA 400 - Sprint Cup Series
Good run by Stenhouse Jnr. 3 top 20's in 3 races, probably proving that he does deserve the 17 next year, and I think this is Danica's best Sprint Cup finish (lel)
Highly doubt anyone other than Keselowski, Johnson and Hamlin are going to win the Championship.

I don't think Dodge has even WON a championship since they returned to NASCAR in '01.
Glad to see Jeff Gordon finish 2nd. Who knows where he would be at if he hadn't wrecked at Chicagoland. If he doesn't have the overheating issues next weekend (like he has been at all of the plate races this year), and keeps his nose clean, he should be okay.

iirc He was 5th at the time of the crash, but finished 35th. So he'd probably be 4th behind Denny.RealRacer4 wrote:navycook75 wrote:good win Brad, go give Dodge their final championship!

Non-chase standings look like this
1 Jimmie Johnson 1008
2 Dale Earnhardt, Jr. 1002 -6
3 Brad Keselowski 1001 -7
4 Greg Biffle 999 -9

Re: 2012 AAA 400 - Sprint Cup Series
Long, uneventful race, but I enjoyed the last 100 laps. All the strategy going on was fairly interesting. It reminded me a bit of F1 from a few years ago. You knew nothing was going to happen on track, so you could focus entirely on which strategy would win the race. Except for the part where the winning strategy wasn't planned out weeks in advance.

Re: 2012 AAA 400 - Sprint Cup Series
Looks like Kahne's pit crew doesn't wanna win a championship. Kahne could have won that race too, he was running ahead of Gordon and catching Kez before the tire issue, and was good to go on fuel.
Regardless, glad Kez and Gordon finished 1-2, and Truex sneaking up in sixth. Overall bit of a snoozefest, but the problem the 36 created made it interesting.
