Re: 2012 Pennsylvania 400 - Sprint Cup
Oh dear God....FAS Lane Racing, have you gone ballistic?I hope you're not expecting that car to return in one piece. And something very puzzling is that Townley's not had Zaxby's on the 09 all year, and now they sponsor him for a Cup ride? What's the deal there?
Also, keep your fingers crossed one of the Humphrey cars or the 98 DNQs.

Not a lot of people know this but the reason we see Zaxby's appear on and off with Townley is because his relatives own the chain.

Does that make him a pay driver then?

There's got to be some reason he's getting rides. It's not because of talent, for sure.

WE'RE GOING TO DIE
Townley is not ready for Cup... my god, whoever owns the 32 must be shared what AJ Allmendinger had when he failed his drug test!

Re: 2012 Pennsylvania 400 - Sprint Cup
Here's some things to contemplate about John Wes Townley...
In 41 career Nationwide Series starts, he has 14 DNF's (no start & parking), 10 DNQ's, and 8 lead-lap finishes.
In 16 career Camping World Truck Series starts, he has 4 DNF's, 2 DNQ's, and 5 lead-lap finishes.
Does this really seem like somebody who should be in a racecar? This proves once again that money beats merit.

I seem to recall some people discussing a while ago how Derek Dudding should never get a TM Master Cup ride because it would be too unrealistic. Well, that excuse just flew out the window so quickly it broke the sound barrier.

That's why the chicken isn't so good; the people who own the place are related to JWT.

98 actually has a sponsor this week, TRAQM.com.
Also, what did Start & Parks ever do to you to earn your (probably undeserved) hatred? Sure, they're kind of annoying, but look at the success stories that came out of it like Tommy Baldwin Racing.

Why do I picture something like the 2002 Talladega Busch race where the whole field wrecked? THANKS.

John Wreck, I Mean Wes, Townley was known as "The Chicken Man" because of his family connections to a cut rate southern fried greasy spoon of a chicken joint.

if thats the case, then hopefully they won't park after a couple of laps into the race
Re: 2012 Pennsylvania 400 - Sprint Cup
His only Cup start was this race last year, he finished 33rd 3 laps down, so no he'll probably be not parking.BWardboy88 wrote:iAMBADDATGAMES wrote:I believe Jason White has sponsorship from Gunbroker.BWardboy88 wrote:flyingturns89 wrote:Jason White will replace John Wes Townley as driver of the #32 car.

Also, how come the same group of people that hate the fact that there are so little wrecks this year, also hated the fact that John Wes Townley had a Cup ride.
Re: 2012 Pennsylvania 400 - Sprint Cup
After hitting the turn 2 wall before even doing a DAMM lap, FAS Lane realised there mistake and put Jason White in the Car.
Disaster AVOIDED...
Now they got a chance to finish a lap...

you people do realize the 32 has never parked in the last 2 years in actual races (not shootouts) right..
Re: 2012 Pennsylvania 400 - Sprint Cup
Townley apprently stepped out of the ride on his own.
