In a rather surprise announcement, Jacob Tremblay announced that both him and his youngest son Matt will run under the British flag beginning next season. "We are moving to the UK this offseason so we can be closer to our race shop and our fellow competitiors. Hopefully, we'll be able to save a bit of money that our new team is going to need."

Owner/driver Phillip Nelson from Northern Ireland is looking to enter himself into the Dash Cup full-time. He is trying to find local sponsorship from Northern Ireland but if he can't he'll use his long-time Australians sponsor Australia Post.

Big Mac Racing Shows Interest in Dash Cup

Team owner, Thomas Mac, mentioned the team is interested in entering Dash Cup. "The Dash Cup is a series I really have enjoyed watching coverage of these past two years. I hope that we can field at least one car full time, if not maybe two part-time cars. I hope we can have a successful entry into the series." Sponsorship is confirmed for the team if approved, but the driver(s) is/are are still up in the air. The number is too.

Sponsors confirmed for ENB!

The Belgian team currently in the pipelines for 2013 has now announced their sponsors. As rumoured, state-owned companies Belfius Bank and Belgacom will sponsor the team, as well as smaller companies, like glass maker Sprimoglass or Broze toy stores.

The sponsor arrangement is currently unknown, although each car will feature three of the four. Car numbers are still unknown, but are expected to be 25 and 52, as in the other series they compete in.

Smith-Thompson to take over for Rogers in 2013?
With the announcement that current Matthews Motorsports driver Kellan Rogers is heading to Eichholtz Atlantic for next season, conventional wisdom is that the team would not return to the Dash Cup series.

Not so, if RROL regular Billy Ray Smith-Thompson has his way.

"Sure I'm lobbyin' for the ride," he said after the RROL event in Tampa. "Those Urpeans could learn a few things from a racin' legend like me. I'd smoke those guys. Glad you got to talk to me."

Team boss Ryan Matthews has been mum so far, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility that Smith-Thompson could get the ride, considering the state of the RROL.

Euro-1 to field second entry in 2013?

Euro-1, Great Lakes Motorsports' Dash Cup program, may be fielding a second team in 2013. The team has already confirmed the Formula Overdrive driver Jeff Fischer will run the #4 car next season. But, the team announced today that a second entry may be in the works. This comes on the heels of GLM's announcement that TM Lights driver Ryan Griffin may not be running ARLA for the team in 2013.

Griffin, who has stated that he would be interested in running the series, ran as a one-off in the Spa GP leading the early laps before a couple of incidents dropped him to 13th. The team has not stated if Griffin is the driver they have in mind but it's a likely possibility.

Laurie Collins signed to 02 Team Kwik Fit car, may share car with younger sister

Returning driver Laurie Collins, who is well known for winning the Neva Ring GP in 2010, will return to Dash Cup racing for Team Kwik Fit for a part time schedule. The 27 year old was referred to as "Wonder Girl" in her previous drives, as she only made 5 starts, and won in her 3rd at Neva Ring. However, she could be doing half a schedule, with her younger sister doing another half.

Her younger sister, 16 year old Cassandra, or "Cassie" for short, may be doing the races that Laurie doesn't. The sister act will not be racing together (apart from for one-off races), but the chemistry of the sisters may make it worth signing them together, and Quinton Young knows this.

Laurie will race at all of the ovals, but this, more than likely, will not take up all of her part time schedule, so road course racing will be necessary for her.

Arrow Dynamic's Confirms Numbers, Sponsorship, STS... Driver Rumors?


Annie Innes, the lead spokesperson from Arrow Dynamic's announced from their headquarters just outside of Brands Hatch some 2013 information. "We will devote all of our assets into Dash Cup in 2013. So we will not be returning to the RROL next year. We can confirm we will continue our relationship with our friends at STS in 2013. And can confirm a 2 car operation for next season, numbered 011 and 012. Both of which will be sponsered by Sandtander. We, however can go no further into our driver information at this time. We thank you for your time." Arrow Dynamics is belived to hire their RROL driver who finishes higher in the points, the second car is still up in the air.

CTR Development Finalizes 2013 Plans

CTR Development will elevate RROL driver Jess Zander to the Dash Cup series next season. Zander will drive an STS Arrow branded by Covidien. The team will use #23 for this car.

The team has put filed to add a second car part-time for 2013; there are several drives being considered.

Clason Enterprises has announced that the #79 STS will be piloted in 2013 by Ashley Flynn, who has been putting up spectacular performances in her part-time campaign. Dutch Team looking to enter Dash Cup?

Rotterdam Autosport, a team that had been running in the Gessler Supercup, announce plans of entering the Dash Cup days before the season finale in the Supercup. They plan on running development driver Adam Verschuren full time and their primary driver Huang Nguyen part time.

They currently have Sponsership from two Dutch company Rabobank and Heineken.

Daryll Kovalenko of Ukraine Looking to Start Dash Cup Team

31-year old Daryll Kovalenko of Ukraine is hoping to start up a Dash Cup team. He is currently racing GT cars around the country of Ukraine.

"I, uh have been noticing popularity regarding the Dash Cup Series. I'm not getting any younger. If I am wanting to make racing a career of mine, I need to make a move now and Dash Cup could be the place to do that. I want to be here in the series making my career and I hope I secure enough sponsorship to make it happen."

Daryll Kovalenko, a Ukrainian GT racer has secured the funding to run a full 2013 season in the Dash Cup Series with sponsorship coming from a famous Ukrainian beer, Obolon if series officials allow him to run. Kovalenko also says he would like to run the Spiedel Wasp in the upcoming 2013 season.

Ricketts looking for part-time ride

25 year-old American driver Charles Ricketts has said that he is bidding for a part-time ride in the Dash Cup Series in 2013. Ricketts has been attempting to get into a bunch of other series' before but hasn't been signed up by any team, and says that he wants to get a decent ride in the Series before the Silly Season ends too.

Big Mac Racing has teamed with a Slovakian team Biely Motorsports to create Big Mac Racing Europe. This effort will be a combined effort from the two parties. Thomas Mac, the owner of Big Mac Racing, had been eyeing a spot in the series for a while. "We thought it was time we did something to get into the series. The racing is great, exciting, and it made me really want to enter the team in the series." The team has chosen Slovakian Dalibor Maliar, 24, to drive the #75 Spiedel Wasp. Sponsor arangement confirmed for ENB

Yesterday, Damien Libert announced the sponsors that will be on the side of the Belgian-entered cars in next year's Dash Cup Series season, should the entry be accepted.

Thomas De Bock, the more experienced of the two drivers, will drive the 25 car with Belfius Bank as main sponsor, with Belgacom and De Bock's personal sponsor Sprimoglass being secondary sponsors.

Aurélien Moll's 52 car will also be sponsored by Belgacom and Belfius, but with Belgacom as main sponsor. The second secondary sponsor will be Moll's own personal sponsor, Broze toy stores.

It is not yet known whether the entry will be full-time or not, but Libert confirmed the team's planned entry for the Spa Grand Prix. The team is expected to enter two Speidel Wasps.

Team Europa has announced their sponsor line-up and are proud to announce J. Carr Tax Services of Great Britain to be the primary Sponsor on both cars this year. Co-CEOs John Locke and Sean Richardson were pleased to announce this partnership on an advert that played Channel 4 news of the UK. Team Europa is happy to have the company on-board and will run the cars with #s 810 and #108.

The team announced later in the day that they will be changing the name of the team to "J. Carr Team Europa"

Rossini Sport plan for newly crowned Italian Formula C champion to attempt Dash Cup

Franco Giovanardi, 21, has been linked to Rossini Sport's attempt to field an entry toward the 2013 Dash Cup. Rossini Sport, who previously stated intentions in fielding an entry for 2013 and entered the Spa GP, are planning to enter Giovanardi on a part-time schedule alongside his Formula C duties next season, in which he was recently crowned champion. Rossini Sport, who currently compete in Formula Overdrive and various open-wheel circles in Europe, plan to run Giovanardi in an STS chassis where team-owner, Alessandro Rossini, had formerly competed for under Squadra Corsa. Giovanardi, who was one of two drivers entered by Rossini Sport in the Spa GP earlier this year, has stated he would be "open to the idea of stock cars."

Abbey Engineering to enter Dash Cup?

Rumors circulating after the TM Master Cup round of Indy were that Abbey Engineering could be looking for a possible Dash Cup place in 2013. Team Boss Ray Jackson said that some more experience in stock cars would really benefit the team if they were to go further in stock car racing. It has been said that they would use their own manufacturer if they make the grid. British sprint car champion and part time formula C driver Zoe Carter is the main contender for the drive.

Jakob Hughes could lose Atlantic ride after all?

After a disappointing season in the 32 car, William Atkins has announced that there may be intentions of Hughes' contract being terminated. Hughes only finished 24th in the standings last season, contrary to team-mates Carla Rosinski, who finished 3rd, and Jacob Tremblay who finished 8th with 4 less starts than Hughes.

"We have good equipment here, and Jakob never shown that too well" said William Atkins "and I don't think he fits in here."

Several drivers have been rumoured for the ride, with the driver that's currently most likely to take the ride if Hughes leaves being Zack Johnson. However, there is a few drivers that may be a bit optimistic for the ride, but they said "they are willing to take chances."

If Hughes does get taken out of the 32 car, there is a chance he could take over the 20 car from Harold Smith, as Harold Smith has been linked with a ride at other big teams; namely MRD Motorsports on a part time schedule. Smith is expected to announce his retirement from full time racing for family issues after his son Eddie fell ill, and Smith realized he wanted to spend more time with his wife and three children.

Silly season looked to be nearly over, but now it seems like it's reopening itself.

Harold Smith Signs with TDR

Tom Delgado Racing, fresh off of losing its biggest backer, announced the signing of Harold Smith to a part-time campaign in a 3rd TDR car.

"Harold wanted to come drive for us, and we were more than glad to take him in and give him whatever we could. We're so excited to have him in our organization, he's such a great family man and a great driver. With him in the fold as well as Carla (Rosinski) & Verity (Logan), I feel we are the best team in the garage. No reason for us not to think that, right?" Rotterdam Autosport talks about Dash Cup entry

Rotterdam Autosport announced earlier today that if they were accepted for next season they would be using the Speidel Wasp. Adam Verschuren the team primary driver for the Dash Cup and development driver for their Supercup team would be using the #40 on his Rabobank Speidel. The team part time driver and the 2012 Gessler Supercup Rookie of the year Huang Nguyen would be using #68 for his Speidel which will be sponsored by Heineken and Rabobank.

Jakob Hughes kept at Atlantic; Jack Parker goes Kwik Fit ways

After rumours of Hughes leaving the team escalated from team owner William Atkins, it turns out they were nothing but speculations, and that Hughes' ride at Atlantic is indeed safe. However, it happens that Kwik Fit had to find a replacement for Harold Smith departing for Tom Delgado Racing, and they had their eyes on a few people. Rumours were that Zack Johnson was the favourite to head to the Kwik Fit garage, however, Jack Parker was signed to the team for 2013 in the 20 car, replacing Smith.

"We're really excited to sign Jack" said Quinton Young. "He shown great talent in 2012, and we think he will fit in really well with the team. We hope he can take us to one or two wins, and we do have faith in him. We'll also see if we can make a deal with his current sponsor Golden Corral to see if he can still drive to have kids eat free!"

Laurie Collins back to Touring Cars, Cassie to run 6 races in 2013

After speculation of Laurie Collins coming back to Dash Cup for 2013 seemed to be confirmed, the elder Collins released a statement on twitter saying she could head back to British Touring Cars, and she did just take, leaving the car open for Cassie to keep to herself. There was a bet between the two about the American Exhibition races saying if Cassandra finished in the top 5 at Daytona, then she would keep the car for all of the tour, but now the younger sister will keep the car anyway, as Laurie Collins has gone over to Britain to test with her new team.

The secretive French team that is forming for the 2013 Dash Cup Series has finally been revealed. The 3 MuskeGears went about covertly acquiring the American owned operations for the #12 Outlaw team of Jesse Wales and the #24 Jurassic Perk team of Rex Coffey. The 3 MuskeGears have been confirmed to be using the Speidel Wasp for 2013 as well, although that could be subject to change since Lycoia is now entering the fray. The 3 MuskeGears driver lineup will be as follows:

#12 - Rostand de Bergerac (FT)
#24 - Alexandre D'Artagnan (FT)
#08 - Percy Pimpernel (PT)
