Pennsylvania loses a racing legend.
Dr. Joseph Mattioli, founder of Pocono Raceway, has died after a lengthy illness. He was 86. This comes less than six months after Mattioli's retirement.

I actually met him in the owner's box at the 2010 and 2011 ARCA races at Pocono. Very nice man. Sad to see him go like this. It was sad enough to see him wheel-chair bound the second time I met him. R.I.P. Dr. Mattioli......
