M-Pire "Drive The Dream" Auditions Begin Empty M-Pire "Drive The Dream" Auditions Begin

Post by Ceej Wed Jan 04, 2012 11:20 pm

Last year, M-Pire Rent-A-Car announced its "Drive The Dream" campaign, which will involve the company fielding an ARLA Elite Series car and renting it to a different driver every week. The company is looking for ordinary people with no racing experience.

After negotiations with ARLA officials, the team will be able to compete for the championship, combining the points that all of its drivers earn during the season. The team will be listed in the driver's championship standings as "Team M-Pire"

M-Pire will began its driver auditions today. Applicants will fill out a simple form detailing their basic personal information (only drivers over the age of 18 will be accepted) and their experiences as M-Pire Rent-A-Car customers. The company has explicitly stated that people with prior racing experience will be rejected.

(OOC: This audition is open to anybody. I encourage people to be creative on their applications. Pay attention to the location you're signing up for; local residents are highly recommended. All drivers will carry the same ratings, which honestly won't be very good because the team isn't accepting people with racing experience Razz)

Experience as an M-Pire Rent-A-Car Customer: I was very pleased with M-Pire's Rent-A-Car service. Although, the first time I went there, they accidently gave somebody else my car and we had to run them half way down a busy street in St. Louis to catch it. Experience as an M-Pire Rent-A-Car Customer: I used to occasionally rent cars from your company from time to time before i bought my own car, and I would end up choosing the fast, nimble sports cars that would be available from my local M-Pire Rent-A-Car. Might i also add that no other company stacks up with M-Pire's quality service?
Tell us about Yourself: I'm the son of a former singer and street racing legend. I myself, have never really been interested in racing, however upon hearing about the auditions, I decided to hand in an application. I tend to help out at my dad's shop, tuning cars so they can go fast, since i hope to possibly pursue a career in racing with this application. I'm well known in the Tokyo street racing scene for tuning some of the fastest (and most balanced) modified cars on the Wangan (OOC: Wangan is referring to the numerous highways throughout Tokyo that take people to and from and around the city), however i have never raced a car. I do hope that i get chosen to race here, as i could show my possible talents racing for this team.

Experience as an M-Pire Rent-A-Car Customer: I have used this company for many business trips to Cheyenne, Denver, and Salt Lake City for my company. I usually rent a Saar Carolina, however after hearing about Lycoia in the TM Master Cup, I decided to rent a 2012 Lycoia Sentinel. It was of very high quality, as are many of their vehicles.

Name: Pat Demps
Age: 23
Hometown: New York, NY (Moved to Chicago, IL two years ago)
Race Applying For: Rockford (Rockford 200)
Experience as an M-Pire Rent-A-Car Customer: Rented about 20 or so cars during the time when my '98 Saar had some mechanical problems to fix in my 1st year at my new college in Chicago. It breaks down here and there, so I rent once in a while and every time I've been there, I've been greeted with a smile and fantastic service. I'd love to work for them maybe in the future.

Tell us about Yourself: I was born in NYC, but I went to Chicago after my first 2 years of college because I just didn't feel like that was where I wanted to be. I figured Chicago is a bit... less crowded, I guess... Anyway, I went to work at a Starbucks for a while and I heard about the auditions. Now, I've been a huge fan of ARLA for a long time. I wonder where Ryan Baldwell went. I always rooted for the #10 FatBurgerKid car and I still do a little. Anyway, I figured that this would be a good chance to fulfill my dream of being an ARLA driver. I hope those new Late Models don't turn over on me or anything.

Name: Fuzzy The Alligator

Age: 54

Hometown: Mobile Alabama

Race Applying For: The Re-run of the Radii Radiators 300

Experience as an M-Pire Rent-A-Car Customer: I have rented their Luxuary SUV's getting to events around the country where I have to deal with those pesky brat kids who adore me.

Tell us about Yourself: I am a popular Children's Televison host. Teaching pesky little brats about mumbers and spelling words, I hate having to deal with children, they climb all over me like I am some sort of god... I will use this experince to begin a racing carrer, to avoid those horrible little terrors. I also don't give away my real name, because I don't want those disgusting little wastes of air, crawling around me in my own personal life. Ugh I hate my job... So hire me, or I'll never rent your cars again...
