Meh...What the hell.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series

First-time winners: AJ Allmendinger - .....I'm not commenting on this
Most wins in a season: Brad Keselowski - Absolutely right so far. Kez has been on a roll.
Upset of the year: Daytona 500 will be another winner out of left-field - Nope. LOLKENSETH
Disappointments: Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon - Absolutely right on Gordon. Busch and Hamlin have been really anonymous.
Best race of 2012: Watkins Glen - So far it's Pocono imo. Some how...
Worst race of 2012: Richmond - I can't even figure out the worst race of the year.
Retirees at season end: None - Prolly right.
Driver of the year: Brad Keselowski - He gets it in my book.
Reject of the year: Jeff Gordon - Yes. But in Gordon's defense it's been shit luck.
Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season: Any backmarker driver - See First time winners.
Champion: Jimmie Johnson (Really think 2011 was a total off year) - Been a bit anonymous as of late as well. Waiting for chase.
Runner-up: Brad Keselowski - With how he's running it's possible

NASCAR Nationwide Series:

First-time winners: Austin Dillion, Danica Patrick, Brian Scott - Bingo on Dillon. Danica is possible....but slim. Only chance Scott's going to win is if they confuse the Dollar General cars
Most wins in a season: Kyle Busch - Nope. He decided to give it to Kurt/Logano.
Upset of the year: Danica Patrick wins a race. - Still possible
Disappointments: Steve Wallace, Timmy Hill, Elliott Sadler - Wallace got booted out of a ride. Timmy Hill being slow isn't really a surprise. Eillott Sadler is actually trying to figure out how to win a championship.
Best race of 2012: Montreal - Can't remember the best nationwide race this season.
Worst race of 2012: Any Cuppie won race - Yup.
Retirees at season end: Morgan Shepherd - Could still be possible with the team running into more problems.
Driver of the year: Austin Dillon - Looking pretty decent so far.
Reject of the year: Eillott Sadler - Totally wrong so far.
Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season: Someone from Turner - soon.
Champion: Austin Dillion - He's up there in the fight and has a good shot.
Runner-up: Justin Allgaier - Anonymous Allgaier is Anonymous

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series:

First-time winners: Nelson Piquet Jr., Jason White, Miguel Paludo, James Buescher - Piquet had Rockingham and then pit road silliness, White is at his typical pace. Paludo was looking hopeful early but has kind of disappered. Buescher got it at Kansas
Most wins in a season: Kyle Busch - LOLBANNED
Upset of the year: Paludo shocks everyone with a win - Eh...Slim but is possible
Disappointments: Ron Hornaday, Todd Bodine, Matt Crafton - All three are doing what they typically do.
Best race of 2012: Daytona - Yeah but there's been a few other races I've enjoyed
Worst race of 2012: Everyone else - *everything, Alta misses a mistake for a year.
Retirees at season end: Todd Bodine - PLEASE.
Driver of the year: Nelson Piquet Jr. - Looking pretty decent in my book.
Reject of the year: Johanna Long - LOLNATIONWIDE
Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season: Todd Bodine - NEVERMIND THAT, FIRE THE ROOKIE!
Champion: James Buescher - In the fight as is most likely the favorite.
Runner-up: Johnny Sauter - We mediocre now.

Post by Spannerhead29 (Nelson) Mon Jul 09, 2012 5:42 am

This is from Alta's Facebook notes

Hendrick driver wins Cup title, but it's not Jimmie. - JEYNER 2ND
Barn-yay wins Failwide title - lolSponsors
Ty Dillion wins Trucks because Childress. - Probably get 2nd or 3rd.

Ambrose gets into the chase because of 2 road-course wins, which is the reason why he'll get 12th in the chase. - Lost at Sonoma, probably not going into the chase.
Toyota wins Daytona 500. - FORD WON YEAH BUDDAY
JOONYA wins a race this year. - I'm a wizard.
Biggest crash of the year: Trucks at Dega (Bodine-trash) - Danica takes the cake for now, but trucks at Dega hasn't happened yet.

300th post.

First-time winners: A.J. Allmendinger
(Won't happen if he's gonna be suspended indefinitely)

Most wins in a season: Kyle Busch
(Looks like I lost this one)

Upset of the year: Michael McFailure running at the end of a race.
(Whoops, I actually got this one right. TWICE!)

Disappointments: Dale Earnhardt Jr.
(Yeah...no)

Best race of 2012: Daytona 500
(Think I'm looking good for this one)

Worst race of 2012: <insert cookie cutter here>
(They've been pretty bad, no lie)

Retirees at season end: Geoff Bodine (he'll retire before the end of the season though)
(Has he even attempted a race yet? I think I called this one)

Driver of the year: Jeff Gordon
(Anything but. His luck's been horrible)

Reject of the year: Kyle Busch (More stupidity that NASCAR will most likely look the other way on, while costing himself even more wins and most importantly, costing him the title late in the chase)
(Sadly, no.)

Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season: Geoff Bodine (not fired, but retired)
(Implying he was gonna have a ride this season...)

Champion: Jeff Gordon
(I wish.)

Runner-up: Kyle Busch
(LOL, might not even make the chase.)

Just going to do the Cup Series

First-time winners: A.J. Allmendinger Well this is off to a good start...
Most wins in a season: Carl Edwards 0 - 2
Upset of the year: Juan Montoya winning on an oval 0 - 3 and not likely to happen anywhere but the crapshoot that is Talladega
Disappointments: Kurt Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Greg Biffle, Kyle Busch Half-right on this one. Definitely expected Kyle, Jr. and Biffle to underwhelm and Kurt to do something idiotic. I was right on the Busch brothers
Best race of 2012: Daytona I think I'm implying the 500, which was a good race
Worst race of 2012: Kentucky/Auto Club Speedway I don't think anyone would argue here
Retirees at season end: Bobby Labonte Too soon to tell
Driver of the year: Carl Edwards LOLNOPE
Reject of the year: Jamie McMurray Just been really anonymous this year
Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season: Casey Mears, Landon Cassil, Brian Vickers (assuming he finds another) LOLALLMENDINGER
Champion: Carl Edwards Right team, wrong guy
Runner-up: Matt Kenseth I still stand buy this one, I think Kenseth/Biffle/Earnhardt are all about equal for the title right now

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series

First-time winners: A.J. Allmindinger (only one left) (Well, this is a bust.)
Most wins in a season: 5 wins. Not sure who will do it. But, I don't see it going past 5. (Stewart and Brad both have 3 a piece and we are only halfway through the season.)
Upset of the year: Trevor Bayne wins back to back 500's. I know right? Honestly that would be an upset. (Where is Bayne anyway?)
Disappointments: Jimmie Johnson (though he will make the Chase and probably finish in the top 7) and Dale Jr. (So far, this is a bust.)
Best race of 2012: Daytona 500 and the Ford 400 (I'd say I've got one so far, have to wait for Homestead.)
Worst race of 2012: Any race at Auto Club Speedway (Bingo.)
Retirees at season end: none (Bingo.)
Driver of the year: Brad Keselowski. Maybe not a 3 win season, but he will be in the Chase again. (Well, I was won on the win count, but I think I made the right pick.)
Reject of the year: Some Backmarker ( No )
Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season:Refer to previous answer (refer to previous answer)
Champion:Carl Edwards. Have to go with momentum. (No, so far.)
Runner-up:Tony Stewart or Kevin Harvick. Stewart for the momentum reason. Harvick because he has been there every year.
(Well Stewart seem like a correct choice, don't know about Harvick.)

NASCAR Nationwide Series:

First-time winners: Danica Patrick and I think 2 others. (Didn't name them, but got Buescher and Piquet. Danica, no.)
Most wins in a season: 9, by a cup driver, don't know which one though (Between Kurt and Logano, I think I've got this one.)
Upset of the year: Danica wins Daytona, the July race (More like crashing out of the July race.)
Disappointments: Jason Leffler (Who?)
Best race of 2012: Tie. Daytona and Montreal (Well, I don't know how to call this one.)
Worst race of 2012: Auto Club (So, far, yes.)
Retirees at season end: none
Driver of the year: Elliot Sadler, 2 wins and the championship (Well, I've got the win count correct so far. Have to wait on the championship though.)
Reject of the year: Some backmarker
Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season: Some Turner Motorsports driver (Could be a possibility)
Champion: Elliot Sadler (refer to previous Sadler answer.)
Runner-up: Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (could be a possibility, though I think Dillon is more likely.)

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series:

First-time winners: 3 (So far so good.)
Most wins in a season: 5 (So far Buescher has 2 which is the most but a lot of racing to go.)
Upset of the year: Will be a Daytona, who I don't know (At*. Called this one, maybe not the name but the upset.)
Disappointments: Todd Bodine (Haven't watched much Truck action to call this one right or wrong.)
Best race of 2012: Rockingham (Didn't watch it so I can say for sure.)
Worst race of 2012: Texas (Probably.)
Retirees at season end: none
Driver of the year: Johnny Sauter (refer to answer on Disappointments.)
Reject of the year: Todd Bodine (refer to answer on Disappointments.)
Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season: Todd Bodine
