Oh great.....
the NASCAR equivalant of Jean Denis Delatrez is back.
McClure returning to TriStar: Team McClure Inc. and TriStar Motorsports announced that Eric McClure will return to the TriStar organization for the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series season, driving the #14 Toyota in all 33 scheduled events. McClure, 33, a native of Chilhowie, Virginia, made his NNS debut in 2003 and has competed in 170 events since that time. In his first year with TriStar Motorsports, McClure ended the 2011 season 19th in Nationwide Series Standings. Reynolds Consumer Products, with its Hefty and Reynolds Wrap brands, will continue its relationship with McClure for the seventh consecutive season by serving as primary sponsor in all 33 scheduled events. The Hefty brand is one of the longest-running sponsors in the Nationwide Series, and the partnership with McClure boasts one of the longest active NNS driver-sponsor combinations. In addition to returning to the familiar orange and blue colors, McClure's effort for the 2012 season will be led by veteran crew chief Wes Ward, who had a brief stint with TriStar Motorsports early in the 2011 season. Ward, who has 22 years of NASCAR experience, will be at the helm of the #14 team, with John Quinn returning as car chief.(TMI), see an image of the car on the #14 team paint schemes page.(12-27-2011)

Re: Oh great.....
McClure isn't anywhere near being the Deletraz of NASCAR. For one, there are plenty of drivers far more reckless than he is, and his sponsors actually pay up!
The Deletraz of NASCAR is Kevin Conway; slow moving chicane who's sponsors don't pay up!

Actually you are right, it's just I've been calling him that since before Conway came on the scene.

I don't see the big deal about McClure. Sure he's slow but he almost never gets in the way.

How dare he hold his line.
The others are of him losing control of the car, not impeding others. Do better research.

He didn't even lose the car on the last one, someone blatantly turned him into the wall.
I'll admit McClure is far from the best driver on the circuit, but he's never stirring up any trouble, and he's usually not a hindrance to the race action. As long as he keeps well enough out of the way, one more backmarker isn't going to hurt anything.

You think that's bad? Did you see what Dale Jr. did to McClure in the 2nd wreck?

Dave, you're either clasping at straws for something you can't back up or you want attention, because none of those crashes are his fault...

you're right Memphis was not a good example, Atlanta though was. BTW I posted the Cali clip, mostly cause in his interview (didn't check all the way to see if that was in there) he said that he was barely making speed, and JD motorsports wasn't that much of a backmarker team at that point.

You know McClure doesn't crash often as you think when everytime he does, he gets injured.

Cooper's right, I am grabbing at straws, McClure isn't wreck prone, he is just slow.
