Image/Contigs Tips

So, I've been working on a couple of CRL cars and I've been having trouble working with and moving the images or contigs. I have a new layer for each image, but each time I try to move the images or contigs, it ends up moving the whole template. Does anybody have any tips as to this problem?

That happens to me at times as well. I just go to "undo" and either try it again or use the selection tool, make a box around the area I want to move, left click the mouse, and get the "marching ants" and move it like that.
